they're clearly upset. they posted a snippet of the doc right before match 1 and they positioned it as though Chance was going to win. when he didn't, they pulled it down

Burroughs is just phenomenal...sure seemed like he was finally in that alpenglow period the last few years... apparently not. I find him to be slightly annoying in terms of his forcible "good guy" shtick, but hey, small potatoes, man is incredible.

They need to introduce an 'intentional grounding" rule as a stalling tactic. Going out of bounds? Take a knee baby. QBs in football can get hit with intentional grounding to save a down, wrestlers should get hit with it as a stall tactic. I was offensive minded when I wrestled and never found my back to the outer circle. Defensive styles are for the birds
I think it's fine as is. Otherwise you're going to have wrestlers who just specialize in getting in a rugby scrum stance and pushing their opponents out of the ring.
@@b.t.8879 At least they changed the freestyle rules to favor the offensive-minded wrestler. All of the rules including Criteria favor the offense

Said before and keep saying it Mentality is everything and I just feel like JB was out of it during the past couple events. Some unexpected losses doesn’t define someone. But for whatever reason people like to be extra hard on him.
He’s got a questionable personality - talent doesn’t mean everything - skill wise, sure something to inspire to be but outside of that? Meh

Not super familiar with non highschool rules, why did Jordan have the lead when they were tied?
Jordan was winning by criteria, he scored the last point
Chance couldn’t score a take down within the time required when he got called for passivity. That’s why Jordan scored late and because his score was the latest score he won on criteria like my man above said.
JB has a great career and this platform allows me to watch matches I wouldn't otherwise see, but JB just seems to stall and slap constantly.

@Brandon_16 hand fighting and staying engaged, not pushing and slapping, of all the matches I've watched, he is warned more than any other wrestler I've watched. He's been a great champion but he stalls, he's slow getting back to the action, maybe in his younger days he was more active but watching his recent matches on Flo the past few years are what I'm observing.
@@scottmeredith8409 he's 36 years old. each year that passes he's losing more and more of the physical attributes that brougtt him to the dance (speed, agility, etc). add to that the fact that he has been studied for the past 10+ years by literally every one in the world... of course he's going to modify his strategy. he has to if he wants to give himself a chance to win. is it as fun as seeing him hit four blast doubles in 2 minutes? probably not. but then again, the majority of NCAA matchups are complete snooze fests with 20 year olds terrified to risk letting it loose and taking an offensive shot. his current gameplan of distance management while downblocking and looking for pushouts while giving the appearance he is staying active by feinting and half shots is no worse than any other contemporary folkstyle athlete. my 2 cents.
@luiscruz55ee56 I totally agree, he's a goat but I never got see him in his prime. He makes opponents chase him, doesn't stay in the center. Thank you for your insight.

I feel bad for chance in a way he has been so close to beating Jordan so many time's and he's a monster of a wrestler he probably would do very well himself if he were to represent are country got some tough people in that weight.
Marsteller beat him for the spot a year or two ago
he got his ass whooped at worlds and didn’t even come close to medaling????
@@SethJonesJr-8108 exactly. so much happier to see guys like JB and DT represent the US on the world stage. Yes they are in the twilight of their careers but they know how to win when it counts on the international stage. A lot of other guys look very lost when they get in front of freestyle international competition (see: the olympics)
Chance being allowed to just ground himself and slide out and JB not getting points is BS and he always calls for time right when JB gets going cause he knows he can’t stop him it pisses me off because JB can beat him by more
