Great guide, but Bossk's Rebly is definately stronger than the base one. From what I can tell it takes 3-4 hits to kill with his normal vision and 2-3 with the thermal vision. It also feels more accurate, but that might be just me
I think it may have actually been ninja buffed since his initial release. I remember testing things out when Death Star first dropped and didn't notice any difference. Then coupled with the fact that Symthic didn't release any info on the "Bossk Relby", which they would normally only do if there was no difference between them...lead me to believe they were roughly the same. Also, the script for this video was written over a period of time and so what I had initially written down back then was what I just kind of rolled with.

Eh, I always do awesome as Bossk. I am not an amazing player, but I usually can place in the top 4 players on my team at the time on the PC, and I always get 30-50 kills with Bossk. He is amazing on supremacy, where he can effectively attack or defend a location.
There was this Sabotage match in Carbon Freezing Chamber map i had where after the rebels took all 3 objectives down somebody picked Bossk and indiscriminately ran into extraction zone without waiting for the other 3 villains to appear and got wasted in 2 seconds, so yeah it's possible lol.
Tekarukiari bossk is especially weak against Lando's disruption since it puts his super lethal abilities on cooldown, allowing you to easily 1v1 him because of his low health

Love your vids man! SO helpful One thing I didn't hear: When playing as Bossk, if you're hit with an enemy flash grenade while in Pred. Instinct (heat vision) the flash effect is multiplied. If it's a direct hit, you're blind for about 10-12 full seconds.
I remember when I was excited for this guy to release more guides to the rest of the heros. Now it’s 3 years later and battlefront 2 came to an end. I think it’s safe to say we won’t be getting the Chewbacca guide for battlefront 1....
Yup, you want predatory instincts on as much as possible. With it on, I have literally rushed into a WA spawn and started wiping out the enemy who were trying to shoot the walker. If you are very quick about targetting and very fast at killing, your survival time is insane. The trick is to not even blink, if you stop killing you will start dying very fast. RIght now Bossk is a tiny bit OP. I personally think he should take at least 50% damage from his own toxic escape and micro grenades. However, I would agree that he has a high skill floor, which is a great thing to see in this game. I tend to do very well with him, but newer players will definitely struggle.
So DICE says the cooldowns for his grenades are very long, but predatory vision charges it faster..... and you can shoot grenades for a very long time...... seems OP
TeutonFox only his health regeneration on certain maps is ridiculous but he is balanced... if you have a good Bossk player then 9 times out of 10 they know how to spawn trap
SWBFPlayer if you get caught in the spawn trap... then you're fucked...not because he is claimed to be op... but the fact that the rebel heroes may have been already taken out
That is true on DS maps. But on Walker Assault I have never gotten less then a fifty kill-streak even when I come in late. I have played Bossk for at least ten hours though. I think his micro-grenades needs a nerf and his regen should have a cap, i.e. You can heal 75 health and then no more.
Just wanted to say thank you Otaku for the videos. I pretty much clean house when I'm Bossk now, largely because I've been really working on my game play based on your advice. Same with Luke and Nien Numb.
Good players can go on like 200 kill streaks with him. This has in turn angered the casuals who think that if they can't do that well, no one should. There are cries for nerfs to his healing already. Because in Battlefront, if it takes skill, it needs a nerf.
The problem is that he is a bit too good against other heroes at the midrange and at close range. I absolutely laugh at Luke, he might kill me if I'm below half health, but he is definitely going to lose at least 3/4ths of his health trying to take me down. With friendlies around, I have literally beaten an admitted noob Luke player while I had less than 10% health. You just drop toxic escape and switch to grenades, spam them at his feet, and run away.

What are your feelings on the Scariff maps? I like them visually but all of those damn trees and foliage annoys the hell out of me when trying to get around at times. It is pretty amusing to see so many people run into each other in the "jungle" areas though.

I read every single comment. After the Bossk video I decided to take a break until Scarif DLC. However, since then I have been tied down by one thing after another and just generally really busy. The point in taking a break was to recover and by coming back while I'm still sorting some things out would be spreading me too thin again. From the way things are going right now, I should be back at it in about 2 weeks.

4:29 This glitch is more annoying than you think. He kills, Luke but the game alerts you and says Darth Vader has been killed. This also happens at 5:00
Bossk became my favorite hero to play. He is agile and really dangerous. I flank the enemy and decimate his number pretty quickly. On Hero vs. Villians, I was able to be a big threat for infantry soldiers and heroes alike. The Toxic Escape is useful against CQC focused heroes and can be a lifesaver when surrounded. The trait works perfectly, as I can eliminate more and more enemies and keep up my health. So if I get cought by enemy villians, I escape, regenerate by killing "minions" and then I go for a sneak attack, again. I got a question. Can update your previous Hero Reviews? Because the vanilla game heroes got patched and have traits and stuff now. Your guides were pretty helpful and I like the humor of your gameplays.
Otaku, I was wondering if you could cover one of more unique blasters in the game, the CJ-9 Bo rifle. Is it even worth using? The melee attacks are good against heroes, I know.
What Thomas said is correct. It was never intended to be a regular video series and only for when I really have sometime to talk about. I suspect the next real talk will be about game balance and will only come out when I'm not already knee deep in videos to make.
I'm normally an aggressive/support player. I can easily wipe the floor with heroes, guards, and normal players on large and small maps. I even killed Chewy 3 times in a Walker Assault match and was able to get to nearly 100% health in no time. It's not buffs or me boasting, but me telling people that he is a very good character. If you know your play style, and practice with him in Skirmish, then you're set to be a total badass.
Yesterday on HvV Liea was in her sheild and was putting down a hero health pick up and before she could move to take it Bossk just ran through and took it like a badass and used toxic escape.
