You’re very welcome mate! Was a pleasure to speak with Keith when making video and i’m glad you and others have enjoyed it 😃 thanks for taking the time to comment pal 👌
Thanks pal, really appreciate the comment. Was great fun making this video and i’m glad u’ve enjoyed it also. Thanks for your support and comment my friend 👍😃
I love how brought up the points about admiring your collection. I sometimes, sometimes i should be watching these movies more often. But as say, it's not just about viewing the film, it's also about looking and admiring your collection, the box art, the contents etc. I like to view my collection as a whole from time to time and appreciate what i have. :)
Absolutely, it’s definitely an overlooked part of it for sure. I’m sure people’s collections bring them some kind of joy everyday. I know mine does. And i’d say if there’s anything in there that doesn’t then u should maybe be reconsidering it’s place in the collection. Thanks for your comment mate 😃
Fantastic interview, great job Andy. Keith, you're spot on about building a collection that represents you. I've been doing some soul searching lately and realised i've been amassing mountains of crap just to do hunt videos and stuff on UA-cam, most movies i'll probably never watch!! It's not the way to do it! You've helped re-enforce my decision to be way more selective moving forward. Cheers guys.
Thanks bumper! Glad u enjoyed it 👍😃 Yeah i agree also, anyone who collects has probably been guilty of buying for the sake of it at some point. I know i have. It’s something u have to be mindful of for sure.
Very enjoyable interview and I was so engrossed it just flew by. Both of you guys are very down to earth and interesting, engaging collectors/hobbyists who maintain a healthy perspective on the processes involved, namely you enjoy it and continue to find the fun in it. It's sad how some folks either lose that as they go along or are just incapable at the outset of understanding the importance of any hobby. To me the two most significant elements of a hobby and investing in one is to enjoy yourself and to share it with others in the hopes that they might find similar enjoyment. I see too many folks who miss out on all that because they lock themselves away and hoard their very souls as though that was shrink wrapped too. So get back out there, keep spreading the joy and never forget that while stuff may in the end never be anything more that just STUFF, that doesn't mean it's any less valuable to you.
So glad you enjoyed your time listening / watching our conversation and thanks so much for taking the time to comment with your kind words. U have added to the conversation yourself with this well articulated comment so thank you. It’s so important to enjoy fully what ever hobby u take up and life in general. If ur hobbies or pursuits start giving u grief rather than joy, u really have to take stock and adjust. To add to your point; you can collect classic cars or in this case collector’s edition blu ray. Both persons can take both out (metaphorically and literally) for a spin and get equal enjoyment despite one hobby or object being grander and more expensive than the other. Enjoy your trinkets to the full, whatever they may be and hold them to no other standard. We can’t take them with us anyway 🤷🏻♂️ lol Thanks again for your comment pal 👍😃
@@ElectricGeek I totally agree with all of that and I appreciate your response very much. I look forward to more videos like the one with Keith as well as keeping up with your own updates on the subject. Keep ‘em coming, Andy! -Glen
I remember begging my Mum to let me watch the Evil Dead (on VHS) must have been around 16 at the time , that she and my eldest sister was watching - just after the bit with the woman and the tree said goodnight and went to bed😊.
Haha! At least ur being open and honest about it. One look at the front cover would have been enough for me! My dad isn’t into horror so there wasn’t much of it ever in the house but my mum liked a scared. When we got older we’d rent horrors. Always remember the ring being a pretty terrifying home video experience 😰😰😰
Wow! That’s impressive mate. Shame they have stopped them now but must have been a relief for you? 😅😂 i currently have two… 😂 just the hunger and the phantom. Really nice editions tho. I’d like to add chinatown and the two jakes next 😊
Good chat guys :) Event Horizon is legit a good movie, definitely Paul WS Andersons best..... I hold a glimmer of hope that they'll find a copy of the unseen edit with the extended hell gore sequence (among others)
Cheers jimmy mate, glad u enjoyed it 👍 With it being sci-fi, it’s one of the rare horrors I’ve actually checked out. Remember enjoying it and the nightmare / hell ending being pretty disturbing. Can still see some of the images! 😱 not sure i need more of that in my life but hope it happens for u mate! 👍
Yeah, i was genuinely so shocked when he casually stated his number lol It’s the quality of the collection that is the most impressive tho 👌 thanks for watching mate 😃
Great and interesting interview. Thanks Andy and Keith. 🙏

The anecdote about scribbling out the titles in the black book brought back some memories! 😊
Haha! Yeah i got a laugh at that part of the conversation also. Something that new generations just won’t even be able to comprehend lol

I'm ok with most Horror, as long it doesn't involve people having their guts removed.
Talk about rabbit holes - the HMV premium collection , took me about 6 months to get then all (a few without the slip case - unfortunately).

Keith is a “UBER” collector. Most of us can’t even touch. 👍
