As an owner and lover of the C3 Corvette, having owned my 1969 427/435 since 1970, I must say you have built one of...if not the coolest....C3 Corvette of all time, Bob. I'm 71 now and having a bit of difficulty sometimes getting up and out of my car because of the Hooker sidepipes and a sore right hip, but until the day comes when I no longer cannot do it at all, I'll continue to own and drive my 540 hp fire breathing monster. We know Chevrolet lied way back then on the horsepower rating but now I know for sure exactly what the beast in my garage is rated at. In fact, every time I start my car....somewhere in the world a Prius dies!! With the machine you've so nicely built, it's nice now to have some company. Again, awesome job on the concept and completion of what is probably the coolest C3 of all time.

Several years ago I was driving my LT4 red 96 convertible and came upon a Prius that had a sign in the back that said, "I get 60 mpg". Of course, he was driving 45 mph on a 55 mph city Interstate in Michigan. I downshifted and blew by him and let him hear my exhaust as it revved to the limit. He probably thought of me as a fool but it made my day!

I, also, owned one of these. Mine was a convertible. We lived in great times. Let's make America great, again.

Love the build ! ...You have EVERY right to be proud .....You won't say this but to the harshest critics, but I surely will .."Do you have the skills and imagination come close to doing this level of work?!?"....If so many of US would love to see YOUR creation(s).....sounds like you could teach US all a lot .....Now about those headlight configurations ...WOW just WOW..!!!...I have a C3 ,myself and while I do not have vacuum problems yet ,(owned car since 2006,fixed them all, this time,... I think.....LOL),I want to do that so that I can get rid of ALL of the relays, hoses ,and delayed door openings .....Thanks for the view!

Wow - You put about as much work into this video as you did into the build. Amazing job and I trust you are enjoying the crap out of it.
As a viewer, it was a little frustrating to hear you talking about the engine without seeing it - could have used more of the interior too! Such a nice job all around.
    Thanks for sharing.

Sick ride! you inspire my next build with this. I been a Corvette fan since I first saw a 1974 Vette with a lady charming a snake on its hood. then confirmed my love for the beast My neighbor built a 1974 with a 396, she was a Black beauty, I got a ride in it. and I was hooked. but then I owned a few Carbed cars and a few Fuel injected cars. and I lost interest in carbs. So my 86 TA has been put aside since 2007, time to bring that beast out and buy a 1974 Vette. use the TA to build up an Engine or 2 and then when all the parts are ready, build the body and chassis of the vette and paint it balk and blue.

MASSIVE TIRE GRIP and a TON OF TORQUE........ not as bad as it looks and probably even tougher to completely eliminate. In a traditional "steel" car this would be easier to get rid of but corvettes are quite different. Full Framed because they have to be. There is virtually no structural strength to be found in the fiberglass that rides on top of the frame. Removable tops add NOTHING for strength to speak of vs a full on roadster soft-top. Eliminating the Flex would require a big move into "RACE CAR" territory and it might have been too fr away from street car friendly for the owner. A full cage inside the passenger compartment welded in would be the way to go but now you're climbing in rather than opening a door and stepping in. In the end it's proof that you really can't have your cake and eat it too. Accept the flex or accept the serious move away from user friendly street car........or option #3........spend REALLY BIG and under pin the whole car with a C6 or C7. The C3 was never designed for this level of traction and power in one.

That's because he cut so much out of the sail panels rear for that trunk
and didn't reinstall braces, therefore everything behind the doors during hard accelerations will buckle..
He's an EXCELLENT fabricator No Doubts there. Remember, Corvettes bodies "hang" on a birdcage frame
and "flexy" fiberglass as well, but an oversight nonetheless.
