Heraion of Perachora / Ηραίο Περαχώρας

Heraion of Perachora is located on the peninsula of Perachora, north of the Corinthian Gulf, at the western end of the Gerania Mountains.
The place was called Heraion from antiquity because of the sanctuary dedicated to Hera at the cape. The modern name of the Perachora area derives from the ancient place name "Piraeus" or "Peraia".
