  • Located in Kato Almyri of Corinth, Kokkosi belongs to wetlands of less than 80 acres.
    Hydrobiotope is of particular importance to the region's natural environment and is the only one in the region of South-East Corinth.
    The Wetland is adjacent to the Almyris Sea and is created by brackish water that flows through the Katakali Mountain and creates small lagoons.
    In the wetland there are rare species of aquatic fauna, birds, flora that are protected such as the endangered endemic fish Aphanius almiriensis (Zacharias Almiris), which is found in 2 parts of the world and the European endangered species.
