  • Remember the video in which I made Chicken Filettes in Breadcrumbs and Provencal Herbs and ended up making a strange looking omelette with the leftover garlic? I will leave a link in the description for you to see... Well this omelette recipe was inspired by that video. I would have liked to have eaten it also with some chips but I think that would have been too much as I did add the whole tin of heinz baked beans! And yes, I did scoff the lot down!

Microwave beans every time👍 Comfort food at its best, bravo👏! How much are Heinz beans, with you?. So expensive here. A can is about £1•20-£1•40 here. Cheapest I've seen is a twelve pack with each can working out at 80p. Having said that, a lot of supermarket own brands are just as good, some even better, and they're not much more than half the price of Heinz. Salud🍷👍!

Yes, microwave for sure, I remember when I used to heat them in a pan and if you were not careful and patient they would stick! As for the price of these here, well I paid €1.50, so roughly the same as in the UK. Just over a year ago they used to be €0.90 so a massive increase like everything else, to be honest, I thought that they would be much cheaper in the UK but there is no difference... Unfortunately, as baked beans are not a spanish thing, it is very hard to find non branded ones and yes, non branded ones are great, back in the UK I remember buying non branded beans in several supermarkets and some I liked them better than Heinz, and I liked the price even more! Cheers!🍷👍

@@HomeCookingSpain Yes, I used to think that baked beans were a peculiarly British thing too but, of course, Heinz is a global brand. So many things that used to be tossed in your shopping basket without thinking, because they were a cheap and affordable snack or part of a meal, now give pause for thought, no?. My favourite beans, and the one that seems to be rated #1, are Branston beans. They're delicious, but a 200g(half size)can for beans on toast is 75p!. Tesco's equivalent which are nearly as nice, is 40p🤷‍♂️.
I make my own sometimes using haricot beans, tomatoes and tomato purée etc etc. Better and only cost pennies per portion👍.
