  • Wabi-Sabi is a Japanese design philosophy that celebrates beauty in imperfection and the natural cycle of growth and decay. It’s all about finding harmony in simplicity, aging, and the transient nature of life. In this video, we’ll explore the basic principles of Wabi-Sabi design and how you can incorporate them into your home for a peaceful, minimalistic space.
    Key Elements of Wabi-Sabi Design:
Natural Materials: Think wood, stone, clay, and textiles that age with time, showing their natural wear and tear.
Simplicity: Clean, uncluttered spaces that focus on functionality over excess. Less is more.
Neutral Tones: Earthy colors like beige, taupe, gray, and green dominate Wabi-Sabi interiors to create a sense of calm.
Imperfection: Celebrate the beauty of cracks, chips, and weathered textures. Handmade items, like pottery with visible imperfections, are perfect examples.
Organic Shapes: Curved, uneven forms mimic nature and feel more human and grounded.
Asymmetry: Instead of striving for perfect balance, Wabi-Sabi embraces asymmetry as a reflection of the natural world.

Hi, I'm not allowed to work in ID, but I do love creating ideas for UA-cam. As you can see I've pivoted the channel more towards Bali, lifestyle, retirement, starting over, etc. ;)
