Great video. Thanks for sharing so we all dont have to go out and buy all these products. So My family and I had been apparel manufactures for 27 years. Worked the big manufactures LLBean, Lands End, Columbia, Nike and around 30 others. I also worked in military gear for 7 years. Never produced for the ones you have shown. We did help develop fleece, soft shells/hard shells before fleece was even a word. I have used the Carharts and Milwaukee. I have looked at all the others and construction of the Jackets. Also have the issue of stuff falling out of the pocket but I always try to buy Jackets with pocket zippers. I only use Milwaukee. I use the heated soft shell or hoodie under and the water resistant hard shell over everything. Gloves also. I heat the inside hoodie. By the way tell Frankie that when I was in need of hiring hard working employees the first thing I would do is look at their hands. I would have hired Frankie haha. Great product and fit. thanks again for sharing.

I watched this video when it first came out and was interested. I wound up buying the Milwaukee coat. I wear a thin Under Armor shirt, my main shirt over that and then the Milwaukee coat with a pair of heated gloves and I absolutely LOVE them. I actually got three more coats for Christmas gifts. They love them as well.

Under armour cold weather compression type shirt is what I've worn for years underneath my hoodie with Carhartt bibs. I've been putting up power lines at 2am in Pennsylvania during a ice storm before and it was so cold it burned your nose. That shirt has been all over the country with me lol. That's all I've ever worn in cold weather. The under armour cold weather turtle neck compression shirt my long sleeve fire retardant shirt which is company policy a hoodie and bibs. So I can move and my back doesn't get cold when bending over. I would never be able to work in as many coats as you have on. I'd sweat to death.

I have the original red milwaukee jacket and the 2nd generation coat that has the hand warmers. I got the gloves this year as soon as they were available. I love them all. I use the 2nd gen coat as a dress coat. The gloves are my favorite. My hands started getting cold very easily in the last couple years so the gloves are a God send! The gloves heat up faster than either of the coats. Now I just need them to come out with heated boots!

Me to ! At home! But at work osha come down hard on us! And carhart says on the tag NO Sparks ! And if you do weld every day in one the rays dry out the material so bad I have had my sleeve totally ignite !!And I had a green welder sleeve over it.. Had a guy that had sparks landing on his back and didn't know it till he was on fire.. But we are talking heavy plate welding , up to 1 1\2" fillet on 1 to 6 " thick plate! On rail cars that gross over a million pounds! We're talking about some serious welding

  • @kctyphoon

ANYTHING you buy from carhartt - jackets or bibs - ABSOLUTELY needs to the sandstone material. The difference is night and say in terms of how soft and flexible is it compared to the originals.. ive had/had every milwaukee jacket you do, (the older softshells are much warmer, flexible, more comfortable - but not a durable) and the absolute most comfortable free flowing warm jacket you can get is the Carhartt SANDSTONE, Sherpa lined Sierra jacket. (The one with the zippers, not the similar one with the buttons). It has armpit big armpit gussets that let you raise your arms and the rest of the jacket barley moves. I cant get past the non heated Milwaukee 3in1 (same exact jacket as the new nonheated models BTW) ripstop being so stiff and loud when it moves. It sounds like youre walking around in a garbage bag, and the entire jacket moves around when you move your arms.
In cold winter weather ( i work outside for a utility company in NJ ) - its TANK TOP, long sleeve shirt, and the older heated Milwaukee jacket on high with a carhartt hat.. and ONLY THAT , thats good down to flirting around 10 degrees or lower. (Must have extra batteries). the whole point of heated gear is so you DONT need to layer. To get the benefit of the heat, you NEED to wear less clothes, otherwise you wont even know the heat is on.
In extreme cold, sub zero wind chill, - throw the Carhartt sandstone jacket over the heated soft shell milwaukee, with the heat on. Carhartt must be a bigger size. The Carhartt breaks the wind, and keeps the heat INSIDE. The heated MILWAUKEE, has to be close enough to you WITHOUT THICK LAYERS under it... ive NEVER NEVER NEVER had to go more than that.. EVER. And the carhartt jacket on the outside is on rare occasions.
Underneath - it’s Carhartt insulated jeans, NO long underwear, and Carhartt SANSTONE Bibs over them when its really cold. The pants and the jackets need to be separate. You cant wear ZIP up suit and expect to move around , bend over, raise your arms..
I have heavy insulted Leather, waterproof Carolina boots for extreme weather and snow.
Gloves is anyone’s guess.. so far best ive found is the leather insulated Carhartts, with bee’s wax applied to waterproof them.. those cheap (in the package, open and shake) hand warmers go a long way...

I've been using the Milwaukee heated jacket/coats for over 7 years. I've got one on Day-glo yellow, Real Tree Camo, an black. The Day-Glo yellow shows dirty easy, but is highly visible. If I worked construction, it would get worn daily.
The Milwaukee Real Tree Camo coat has the control panel inside the coat on the left breast area. I suppose Milwaukee figured the coat would be worn for hunting and didn't need the light showing. It's my longest in length and warmest piece of heated gear. The M-18 battery adapter if you don't mind the weight is the way to go. With the 4-5 amp hour battery it will weigh you down.
Not sure why, but my black Milwaukee jacket is waist high, form fitting and looks like a more dressy version of the heated gear.
Guess it's time to look for a pair of the Milwaukee bib overalls.
Whats up with the fox and how long have you had it?

I don't own any of that gear, I do own a couple Milwaukee drills, so I guess I would veer towards the Milwaukee just because. My one gripe I would have is they don't make the reflective vests like the Dewalts. I have worked where I needed to wear a reflective vest and it would be nice if they offered that option. For instance. I owned a box truck and every time I would have to load or unload I would have to pull on my vest. And that would be the same on any yard where you have trucks moving around that has any type of safety program.

Obviously Carhartt has several different types of linings in their coats. You happened to feature one of the more stiffer ones. I've never had an issue with any of my Carhartt coats and it would be a cold day in hell when I stop wearing Carhartt and switch to Milwaukee. I'm not wearing a heated coat. I'm not carrying a battery pack around. And I'm damn sure not getting sprayed with a garden hose. Good day.

I guess I’m just completely confused. The point of the heated gear is so that you don’t have to wear 3-4 layers......... I work out in the weather every day. Thin base layer shirt, Milwaukee VEST (great movement with no bulky arms!) and then a thin $20 hoodie over the top for when it gets dirty and nasty it can be thrown away. The vest is on year 3 and looks new!

Awesome video Stan! Where in the heck can I get one of the Milwaukee heated jackets? The kind that you gut bit by the snake in. Everywhere I look they are sold out! I need a 2X or maybe a 3X.

Just got the Milwaukee M12 heated jacket and it is barely producing any heat. I am very upset and disappointed. I ordered it online from Home Depot . They told me go back to your local Home Depot and return it. On the highest setting it barely produces any heat. I just don't know what to do. Is this the way it's supposed to be or not? I don't know

How are the bibs when it comes to snow plowing and snow removal? Also, for outside work in the wintertime?

How wind resistant are those Milwaukee gloves? I would possibly use those for snowmobiling.

Hey quick question, what 2 ya snow bucket manufacture or actual bucket would you recommend? It would be for stacking and widening driveways after storms. Any input is appreciated. Thanks!

What was the Milwaukee outer jacket you had on over the hoodie and bibs? Can't find it anywhere...does it come with a hood?

love this video but I have problems with cold toes not the hole foot just toes. I have tried a lot of different types of winter socks and boots but still have cool toes. and I can't find a good winter shoe in my size. I have a wide foot and most shoes that say they are wide but are way too small. any suggestions?

@Natty Fatty Powerlifting thanks for the info I'll give that a try but because of the problem of my shoes too narrow I can only use 1 pair of socks. I will keep looking for some extra wide shoes

Try coating your hands with petroleum jelly (vaseline) just before bed and wearing an old pair of socks. I'd recommend washing them first lol.
You will be surprised in the morning how much better your hands will feel.

Tim needs a Eastern European Shepherd he can train it to protect his family when he is not home. Milwaukee needs to give you a discount code for you to share.
