What do you guys think of the dough bowl candles? Is it your style? I think they are SO pretty! You can really dress them up or make them more rustic. What are your thoughts??
Absolutely loved this video! I bought a dough bowl to do this but all the info online on how to do it made my head spin so I gave up... but your video made me want to try again! THANK YOU! 😊
Hi! I love these! Silly question but when do you stop burning them so the bowl doesn’t burn? I am scared to sell them because of fire starting. What advice do you have? Thank you!
Thank you darlin’ for sharing your secrets. They are lovely. What a great housewarming gift or Christmas present! Love your sweet demeanor & your loving ways w/your family. GOD be with you always. 💕
Love, love love candles in a dough bowl! Love them in a crystal bowl also! Another You Tube lady did that and I fell in love with those also... the pretty prism look in the room at night. I’m one that burns up the candle and makes another in the bowl. They are so addicting and therapeutic o make. LOL!!! What is the difference between the wax you are using and soy wax ( I’m new at making candles) ...What fragrance do you make yours? Thanks for sharing your method with us! Have a blessed weekend.
This is a paraffin/soy blend. I have a tendency to not use all soy on candles that I add fragrance to, because they do not throw the scent as well! I use all different kinds of scents! Today I made one that smelled SO good like fresh clean laundry! Thanks so much for watching!
Hi! Loved this video. I made one so far before watching this video. Do you spray/protect the bowl with something before pouring? To avoid any complications with fire? Or that’s not necessary? Thanks in advance!
I didn't know you were such a candle making pro. 😆 I would buy one. It's hard to make a candle and get it right. You made it look easy! These would make great gifts too. 💜
I have a bowl like this that has a hairline crack in the bottom. Is there something I could use to seal the crack and make it into a candle? My fear is the melting wax leaking out and into my coffee table. TIA. 😊
Thank you for the video. A couple of questions. Can you use natural essential oils? Also I wood turn bowls. I was told by one of my groups not to pour wax for a candle in a wood bowl that I have turned. They say it will catch fire. I know wood burns. But is there a difference in the dough bowls and a wood turned bowl. They are all wood turners. So they may not know? ?? Thanks again.
Your candles are lovely, plus you have such a cheerful, soothing voice. This morning I really needed something to give me a sense of calmness, because some days are just more hectic and stressful than others. So glad I tuned in to your channel. Happy New Year.
Depending on your wax, the fragrance needs to be added at the temperature your wax recommends. I make dozens of candles but am new to dough bowls. My soy wax 464 recommends adding fragrance at 170 degrees. This is to make sure the oil actually incorporates into the wax. I then pour at 125 degrees. All this is wax specific. I never use hot glue as it usually melts and the wick comes loose. Always use wick stickers meant for wax. Also make sure your dough bowl is made for candles for safety.
Hello, I bought the same candle wax and wicks that you have listed here…For some reason when the dough bowl candle was lit The flames were high and threw off black smoke…What am I doing wrong?
When you be so kind to share what type of wax, wicks and fragrance oil you use? I have purchased an abundance of wooden bowl but have been hesitant as I do not know which type will work best with wood. I greatly appreciate it!
I saw a more recent video that stated you are no longer selling these. If you are please leave a link. Thank you for explaining how to make these. Also where can purchase bulk dough bowls, if you are no longer selling these.
The dough bowl candles are beautiful! Leslie, is there anything you can't do? Lol! Just kidding. Yes, I would be interested in purchasing one. Big hugs from Texas! 😎🇨🇱
Hello! I love your vids. Can you tell me what size wick you used in these size bowls ?I feel like the CD26 I have been using gets too vhot and burns too quick. yours look smaller which i think would be a better burn. Thanks!
I would love to buy one of those from you I think it's so cool I think you should sell them that would be a good idea text a little bit of time but I like that idea
I haven’t had an issues! I burned mine for 6 hours the other day! I think like with any other candle, don’t leave them unattended! I’m so glad you liked it! ❤️
What do you guys think of the dough bowl candles? Is it your style? I think they are SO pretty! You can really dress them up or make them more rustic. What are your thoughts??
I love the wood/rustic look. Rugged meets refined!

Where do you find the dough bowls?
They are so cute!
Loved your tutorial!!! Where do you find those long metal sticks that hold your wicks in place?
Dough bowls are pretty expensive, do you have a specific place to purchase so they are a little more cost effective?
Hi 👋🏼 I’m not going to make a candle but I want to be a customer.
Curious what size wicks you use for the dough bowl. Using 3 doesn’t always reach the edges of the bowls.
Glad I found your channel!!! I love the way you explain and demonstrate everything. I'm off to find dough bowls!!!
Did you any?
Do you treat your wood first below adding wax to candle

Do you have to do anything special to the bowls to make them safe to burn candles in since they are made of wood?
Dumb question here, but what prevents the dough bowl from catching fire. It's not a fireproof/heatproof vessel.
where do you find your dough bowls? thanks so much! fantastic video
I'd buy one, yet I'd also make one. Both my girlfriend and my mom would absolutely love one of these
Hi! Loved this video. I made one so far before watching this video. Do you spray/protect the bowl with something before pouring? To avoid any complications with fire? Or that’s not necessary? Thanks in advance!
Just tried making a dough wax bowl after watching your video but mine was lumpy looking...what do you think was the problem?
Hi Leslie! Can you send me the link of where you purchase your dough bowls please? Thank you!
I didn't know you were such a candle making pro. 😆 I would buy one. It's hard to make a candle and get it right. You made it look easy! These would make great gifts too. 💜
Thanks so much 😊 Definitely a good gift idea!!
Do you have 100% Soy WHITE DOUGH BOWL candles?? 😁😊😀🥰
Where did you get your bowls?
The candle is lovely. I love them 🥰 Are you impregnating wood with something or just pouring wax onto raw wood? Thank you for this video.
where do you buy your supplies? who do you order wicks, bowls, wax
and scents from?
Great video, thx for sharing! When would you add in flowers or other toppers?
These are so pretty. Now I want to make one! Thank you for such a good video, easy to follow instructions, very informative. ❤️
I noticed in your second and third candles. You didn't use a Wick holder, Are they strong enough to hold themselves up?
I have a bowl like this that has a hairline crack in the bottom. Is there something I could use to seal the crack and make it into a candle? My fear is the melting wax leaking out and into my coffee table. TIA. 😊
Beautifully done.❤ what size wick did you use? ❤
Do you treat the wood bowl with anything before pouring the wax? Or does it not need anything like that?
Where do you find such cute bowls??
How do you know if the dough bowl is made for candles

Thank you so much 😊 Happy New Year 💖
Im loving your thermometer! Can you pls tell me where you got it?
Hi what did you spray them with for fire precaution
What do you seal your dough bowls with before you pour the wax?
dude your using the wrong scale. you want to use a candle scale lolllll
Also.. maybe I missed it but where do you get your dough bowls?!
Leslie, these are so so pretty. Thank you for teaching us how to make candles in the dough bowls. I want to try this! 💕
You are so welcome! 😊
Hi! Where do you purchase the bread bowl?
Just beautiful.... must find a dough bowl. Will you be selling these? Thank you for video.
Where do you get the dough bowls?
I want to know too 😊
hi thank you for the video, where do you find your dough bowls? thanks so much
Hi, Do you mind sharing where you bought the wick holder? I've never seen one that size before.
There available online and places like Michael’s arts and crafts stores.
Can you add colors to your wax candles?
I thought water was heavier than wax
Where did you find your wick holders at? I have been searching for long ones like these and I can’t find them anywhere.
I made those! I glued three wick holders together!
Great job explaining the process, and the candles are beautiful.❤️ Thanks!
What type of wicks do you use ?
SELL THESE! TAKE ALL MY MONEY!!!!!!!!!
LOL I"m definitely thinking about it!! Still deciding which route would be best?
Where do you get your bowls from
How long pound burn do you think
I absolutely love them! I want to buy some for Christmas presents! Good job, Leslie!
Thank you Sharan!! 💜
Water weight does not equal wax weight. You should take the water weight multiplied by .86 to get wax weight. So 16oz of water would be 13.76oz of wax
Can you help me find these dough bowls. Your previous comments say to Google a wholesaler and I have been for hours. HELP PLEASE!
Do you have a problem with your wicks coming up after you’ve poured the wax? This happened to me. Any suggestions?

Would you kindly share what type of wicks you use for dough bowls?
Hello! My wick stickers melted and came right up but when I hot glued them they did great on the dough bowls.
Hello, I bought the same candle wax and wicks that you have listed here…For some reason when the dough bowl candle was lit
The flames were high and threw off black smoke…What am I doing wrong?
Absolutely beautiful! Will you please kindly share the wax, wicks and fragrance oil that you use?
When you be so kind to share what type of wax, wicks and fragrance oil you use? I have purchased an abundance of wooden bowl but have been hesitant as I do not know which type will work best with wood. I greatly appreciate it!
Did you treat the dough bowl with anything before putting the wax in? I’m thinking about safety of burning a candle in a wooden bowl.
I do! I treat all my bowls with a flame retardant!!
@@ACharmingAbode love them!
I would definitely buy one of these. This is probably the best looking candle I have ever seen.
Awww you are too kind 💜 Thank you!! 😊
I agree! I would buy. These are beautiful!
I saw a more recent video that stated you are no longer selling these. If you are please leave a link. Thank you for explaining how to make these. Also where can purchase bulk dough bowls, if you are no longer selling these.
Could I use a wood wick when making this? If so would I need to change anything?
I have never tried it! If you do try it, let me know how it goes!
Can u make these bowl from wood, and put the candle wax and everything in them without the wood burning
The dough bowl candles are beautiful! Leslie, is there anything you can't do? Lol! Just kidding. Yes, I would be interested in purchasing one. Big hugs from Texas! 😎🇨🇱
Is the wood fireproof?
Do you sell these candles? I want to buy one from you, if you sell them. I found retainers on Etsy, but will buy from you. Thanks.
adore these. I have bulk apothecary dough bowls that I have been to nervous to pour! I feel great about it now. What fire retardant do you suggest?
You forgot to say what wicks you are using, and how much it will be for ?
Hi! Did you happen to check the description box? The details for the wicks I used are listed there!
Hello! I love your vids. Can you tell me what size wick you used in these size bowls ?I feel like the CD26 I have been using gets too vhot and burns too quick. yours look smaller which i think would be a better burn. Thanks!
This was a satisfiyng video. I loved watching the pour. 🤪
Dough bowls are so versatile!! I would buy one of your candles! 😉
Glad you enjoyed it! 😊
very nice tutorial!..
did you seale the bowl before the pouring?
If somebody can help me guiding me to the right direction where can I get some long lasting fragrance online.
What is the fire retarding I see people talk about, or do you buy dough bowls that have already been treated?
I would love to buy one of those from you I think it's so cool I think you should sell them that would be a good idea text a little bit of time but I like that idea
I have a bowl that is very raw wood , do I need to seal it with something before making candle ?
I looove this!! Is there a risk of the bowl catching fire?
I haven’t had an issues! I burned mine for 6 hours the other day! I think like with any other candle, don’t leave them unattended! I’m so glad you liked it! ❤️
I would be very interested in buying some if they aren't too expensive.
Hi! Where did you find the wick holder? I have looked everywhere, and I can't find one that long? Thanks!
Thank you so much for sharing. Do you still love the wicks and wax you use? I’m trying different ones and trial and error is expensive! Lol. Ugh..
How do you know if the dough bowl is suitable for making a candle?
I didn’t know about dough bowls until I watched your channel.
how deep are the bowls I bought 6 and they are only 2" deep.
Hi! Bowl depth will vary depending on the product you buy! You bought 6 from where? Did they state the dimensions of the bowls before you purchased?
So beautiful, I have a question.. How do you measure your bowls to get a estimated wick size.. I’m a lil confused about which width to take
Thank you for sharing your video. It’s so helpful. What size wicks do you use in the bowl?
Thank you for the inspiration! I was curious, do you have to seal the bowls?
I have the same question
I love love love your dough bowls so creative and beautiful!! 🎉
Beautiful! Thank you for sharing.
Love it ! Love it ! Love it ! Would absolutely buy, they add a great cottage vibe !
Are the bowls finished ( with coating) or unfinished before you pour in wax?
I use all different kinds of bowls! Some have a coating and some are natural!
@@ACharmingAbode so all bowls are safe? Or does it need to be a bowl “made for burning candles”?
Do you know the difference between the paper core or zinc wicks ?
You candles are so pretty and you are so sweet to share your talent !
That is incredibly beautiful. Thanks for sharing.
the hot wax does not affect the glue at the bottom of your wicks?
This is so simple yet so very pretty!! Would love one in my bathroom to give it that spa feel. I LOVE it❤❤
Ant's Place one in your bath room would look amazing! Definitely give it that spa feel! 😍
Love this video, your fromula was very helpful
Thanks for pointing out that I spelled formula wrong in the video!! LMAO!
Oh I went to see if you had your candles. I see they sold out. They are so cute.
Enjoyed your presentation, you could probably sell these at your local farmers market as well as online.
Would love to do this . Can you tell us where to get the bowls & ingredients
Would it be the same measurements for soy wax?
These are gorgeous!!! Thank you for sharing, I love candles 🥰🥰🥰🥰
Glad you like them! 😊
There are different sizes of wicks/ What would you recommend?
