Your consistency for finding the worst looking chicken at the supermarket should be applauded
That’s what I want to know did he dumpster dive for that
@@stephendonahue3435 in these tough economic times, can you blame him? 😅

I normally don't think that your raw chicken looks all that bad. This is not one of those times.
The chicken looks like it was a zombie for a good couple of years before being butchered💀
bro that lump on the piece he held up.... nah
Looks like it sat in a freezer for well over 12 months.
what was that…. er, nodule in it? 🤢🤢🤢🤢🤢🤢
The chicken came packaged from Kirkland so I guess I see why it looks so bad
I usually just go along with the running gag about the chicken because I think it just looks bad because of lighting issues - but this time it looked like an actual crime scene.
yeah I've never seen chicken that was leaking red juice like a steak before... not a great sign
guys this is free-range chicken but I guess americans wouldn't know
@@arohpez what are you even trying to say bro 😭
@peiran3058 free-range chicken has darker meat but americans are not used to eating normal chicken

The effort it must take to constantly have radioactive chicken is astonishing
Bro is literally traveling to Chernobyl every other week.
Idk I don’t have that much faith in him. The lazy bum probably just chops a bit off his thigh and calls it chicken
@@rxmmxsfood is cheaper there
@@Dat1person_ well, unless the food eats you
I have literally never seen chicken look that bad, it's kind of impressive.
I never judged the radioactive chicken before since I also found sketchy looking chicken at the grocery when living in NY. This isn’t one of those times, stay safe brother
If you aren’t getting your food from a fallout bunker what’re you doing
Specifically, the color of the breast derives from the type of cereal with which the chicken is fed; if the chickens are fed with sorghum and wheat, then we will have a white chicken tending to pink, if instead the chickens are fed with corn then the breast will be more tending to yellow.
@@user-pc5dh2ww6uWhat did they feed these chickens then, huh? Depleted uranium?
@@lucaluca3107nah, they fed them enriched uranium
Ok
For "But Lazier":
- Beef Wellington (just to see how lazily you can do this insanely complicated dish)
- Lasagna (just throw all in raw)
- Bread (make the dough in the oven and never take it out before baking)
Add pizza but use puff pastry as the dough and put slices of american cheese👌
@@My_Nlgga That could actually turn out awesome

for "but lazier"
-gyro/kebab
explain exactly how beef wellington is an insanely complicated dish?
I love how you start cooking without even checking if you have the ingredients, and you do this on UA-cam.
Beef Curry "But Lazier" :
2x can of Beef Stew
1x box of Golden Curry blocks
1tbs of starch (optional)
Microwavable white rice
Add 2 cans of beef stew and 1 can of water to pot. Add all of the curry blocks, bring to a boil. Mix 1tbs corn (or any) starch in a separate cup with warm water and stir. Slowly stir starch mixture into curry, stew and water mix. This can be skipped for a more soupy curry. Reduce heat and let simmer for 3 - 5min. Microwave rice and put on plate. Pour stew curry like gravy over rice and enjoy.
Saving this
The amount of sodium split between 2 shelf-stable cans of beef stew and an entire box of Golden Curry is absolutely horrifying.
@@Jytube231 🤠
Why do that, just make hamburger curry with a pound of hamburger, a bag of frozen mixed veggies and a couple potatoes and just the curry blocks. Just as easy and fast to make and it's a normal meal instead of a struggle meal lol. Serve over rice (im from hawaii fwiw, that's a very popular lazy weeknight meal here)

also this isnt really a concrete suggestion for the "but lazier" series but itd be cool if you also limited the amount of cookware that you use in your "but lazier" series , so that the cleanup is also lazier, because no one likes cleaning stuff up 10 different pots and pans and bowls when they make one dish
I really liked the video where he followed a Babish recipe but used half the tools!

Being of Korean decent I've never seen brown Korean Fried chicken until today, Thanks Canoe for opening my eyes to the broader world of cooking.
So you are a decent Korean? What about good Korean or bad Korean, what are their traits?
really? soy sauce chicken is super common
@@swee7roll there are different segments of Korean food that are so contrast to each other in general. You have hot pot that can burn your face off (dukboki) and dishes are that meant to be served cold, like cold soba noodles for the summer. The first time I visited Korea we went to a restaurant that was pretty mushroom based and served mushroom hot pot with like 6 different kinds of mushrooms. My mom makes Korean fried chicken with a gochujang based sauce that gives it the signature deep red color, but at the end of the day it's just what I'm used to. So in reality its pretty hard to mess up fried chicken on its own but when you find a good Korean Fried chicken place you can spot the differences in quality like any restaurant. Really the only trait that I can think of that stands out as Korean cuisine is the fact that have a lot of bowls in one table so you can grab whatever you want to put into your own bowl.
@@dgooshe tbh i gotta have more flavor in chicken than just soy sauce lol
@@dirtysnow6662 i mean its still better than normal chicken :p its why i go 반반 with it amd other stuff all the time
I feel like I am watching someone cook in an irradiated post-apocalyptic future with food from a supermarket abandoned 12 years prior.
Maangchi is literally the best cooking channel. Love her videos!
Love maangchi!
I love watching her content, but sadly none of her recipes come out right for me. I tried her Korean chicken recipe too a long time ago. Pure disaster tasted like charcoal and everything stuck to the pan. Maybe I'm just a worse cook than canoe tho.
@@bereal8253 I've never tried that recipe for fried chicken (I don't think home deep frying is ever really worth all the effort) so maybe it's not good, but I've tried her recipes for pretty much all of the Korean food I've eaten (I'm Korean) and they've all come out very nicely.
@@bereal8253 maybe u didnt have the right pan, We love Maangchi here as well, her kimchi, her vegetarian pancakes and her double fry chicken are some of our favourite! Oh! there's also this tofu recipe with sauce, that was yummy too. I wanna try her rice cakes next
2:42 was actually very informative
I would really like to see a texas red recipe in the "but lazier" series, cause it takes a lot of time and effort to cook
is that chili?
I love her channel! Everything she makes looks so good 😭 ❤️
Will be trying it, thank you for explaining potato starch. I'll be using that since it's good for longer frying which would be perfect for this chicken.

Lmao 😂
This is super relatable, i cook the same no matter how the ingredients look if they are mouldy or anything, thats amazing

You inspire me to cook, seriously, I love your approach and I really don't think you're so bad at all. Subbed.

nice job team
The amount of times I’ve seen this recipe haha keep up the amazing content man
The reason the chicken looks dark and have yellow fats is because you bought an older chicken, they usually have a heavier taste contrasting the more mild in comparison refreshing taste of younger chicken hence the sulphur taste picked up(deep intestines flavour),or maybe your chicken has gone bad alittle
i've heard that yellow fat and darker meat on chickens can be from free ranging if they eat a lot of grass (which has beta carotene and chlorophyll). that being said, a sour, sulfurous taste is a huge red flag for spoilage. i would have spit the meat out and rinsed my mouth
1:44 - that's the most Asian head I've ever seen. As a white guy who notices race a lot, I can assure you he IS an Asian fella.
So I've fried tofu a couple of times, and I've done it with corn starch because that what I have
I am equal parts annoyed and relieved that I can pretty much instantly improve it by using potato starch
i recently found this dudes channel, i will never get tired of their videos lol
U should try making kkwabaegi (korean twisted doughnuts)

FINALLy decided to sub because your videos make me sleepy while I’m eating at 1AM
This recipe is indeed easy!
For 'But Lazier' series, maybe try some challenging recipes like baklava. Orrrrrr traditional Asian recipes like from those Chinese-countryside-youtubers such as Liziqi who make lots of gorgeous dishes where you need 10+ ingredient list and a hundred hours for one dish? But the main thing I'm interested in is actually cooking any dishes (especially desserts) with as few plates/pots/pans/bowls as possible. Even with the dishwasher, I hate the cleanup. I find cooking fun and usually don't care as much about the time or effort as I care about how easy/hard it would be to get the kitchen cleaned after I'm done.
Adam Ragusea does exactly that, especially making cleanup easier

Dude's chicken is always radioactive i really wonder where does he get it
Not only does the chicken still look radioactive, I saw water droplets leaving the chicken bowl when you were pouring water into the bowl, have fun with your salmonella countertops
Yep, that's why you're not supposed to watch chicken. And that's just the water droplets we can see.
Should’ve had the bowl in the sink to avoid that and use vinegar + lime/ lemon juice to clean it. Not just have it in a bowl of cold water for 2 seconds. Then a deep clean for the kitchen
