The worst case scenario is that he actually does leave for WWE in 2024. Then AEW really does look like complete fools. Stick a fork in it, if that happens. That work does not need to become a shoot if your Tony Khan or an AEW fan. That would make TK look hopelessly incompetent.
The whole bidding war gimmick was a go away heat for me. It was worse than that old mma man that spouting rubbish and antagonising aew fans but it doesn't made aew felt insignificant place to be like mjf bidding war gimmick.

Regal’s turn made no sense and that promo didn’t really help at all. This bidding war gimmick is weird too I’m not seeing how is this benefiting AEW.

Always thought MJF’s character was weird. Why promote a guy that verbally bashed your company to the point where they name drop not only another show, but the people from that show? I get that it’s all a work, and wrestling should be more universal (no pun intended), but if you’re the only show hyping the competition, then aren’t you just a living Ad for WWE? Why should I watch the AEW champion, when he’s leaving for WWE anyway?
My sentiments exactly. MJF praising WWE and bashing AEW just makes AEW look so 2nd rate and worthless as a company.

And also Because the Numbers and the ratings say that AEW is indeed the minor league.
Taking someone whose lifelong dream is to work in a rival company and making them your top star when they're one foot out the door is not the best argument you have your shit together.
Of course, the perception may not be as bad if dirtsheets didn't report negative speculation about AEW 24/7 either...
These guys don't get it. AEW is the minor league. From the production value, to the ratings, to most the roster. Show it to a layman and they will say WWE knock off

AEW is the minor leagues, hopefully when the big wave of contracts are up they can shed 30/40% of that garbage and focus on raising their actual talent. MJF is gold, and is by far the best thing in the company.
AEW is not minor league, it better than anything the WWE is doing, with the exception of the Bloodline.
@@kellymcquay2626 WWE has been almost total shit for 15 years, the best thing to come out WWE in the last 5 years was NXT U.K. Walter, Tyler Bates, Dragonov and Pete Dunne were amazing until they all went stateside. The recent Bloodline stuff is slightly entertaining, that however doesn’t mean AEW isn’t minor league. The only good thing in AEW is MJF and Punk, and I don’t know what’s going to happen with Punk. If you like performance art then just say that, I like pro wrestling and the industry has been (on the whole) abysmal for 10 years.

Aew constantly bringing up wwe makes them look like the minor leagues. It's starting to get old but mjf probably won't leave aew and is only bringing up triple h and nick khan is only for heat since he knows he would get a reaction from the aew fan boys. Aew and Tony khan should stop referring wwe and pay attention to their own product and not what triple h is doing

AEW is the minor leagues. Bad story telling, awful booking and misuse of talent. It's WCW all over. AEW using the age old classic of I'm the champ and I'm leaving as the champ. It's was epic when Ric Flair did it back in the day, but the media age wasn't big enough to push it. So it's most comparable to when everyone really thought Punk was really leaving with the Belt in Chicago after beating Cena. AEW is a well it worked for WWE so let's just do it type of company.
