At which point his presentation is interrupted by a staged BSoD, and the questions go unanswered. The BSoD (which you can find by searching "Gabe Newell bsod") actually had the hint leading to the next stage in the ARG. It's funny that some people don't realize it was staged, but I guess it doesn't matter.
In retrospect, he acted it out pretty well. At the end of the speech he says "Good luck figuring it out" and by that he's probably referring to the puzzle embedded in the "BSoD"
@@SoupyMittens 32bit games are, by definition, less intensive than 64bit games. They SHOULD be games they only take 4 gigs of ram, because that's the only real performance difference. My assumption is your friend is either trying to run a specific 32 bit program with a memory leak and is calling that 'multiple games', or it's that he has faulty memory sticks in his computer.

Windows is the Xbox of OS for gaming. You just slap it on there and you're off to the races not much you can mess up. A lot of games are built around the idea of gamers running on windows machines and that makes troubleshooting game problems easier. If you're having a game issue related to Linux you have to be way more knowledgeable to fix it. That's not practical and expecting all PC gamers to learn and use Linux is unrealistic.

I remember this when it happened and if you look at the actual slide it’s basically the hidden information he was speaking about but it was in regards to portal 2 (mentioning GladOS at the top of the slide). It was all hype and worked incredibly effectively

Linux gaming on Steam is just epic! I have over 400 games in my library and only a handful of those don't work. The rest are just bliss, 10+ year olf hardware on Resident Evil The Village at 3440x1440 and it ran a buttery 60fps from start to finish. I am also in love with my Deck and bought it primarily because it was Linux. Good job.
