Years ago, when I was frustrated with the monotony of constantly having to clean house after my children and husband, I heard a girl ask her mother if she ever got tired of cleaning house. The mother replied, “I’m not cleaning house, I’m making a cozy home for my family.” Attitude adjustment!! That was over 20 years ago, and to this day I still remind myself, I’m not just cleaning a house, I’m making a cozy, peaceful, and comfortable place for the ones I love.
I read an old homemaking book from the 80s or earlier, and she talked about schedules, and how they keep jobs from piling up. I always liked what she said ( paraphrasd) that each day's tasks can be completed, and you don't have to worry about tomorrow's work. "Housekeeping is never done, but with a schedule, YOU can be."
I like to get it all done in one day so my housekeeper brings two additional girls and EVERTHING is done within 2-3 hours. Then we can relax and the house is always ready for guests. We have no pets and no children. I get rid of all trash before they arrive and the bathroom vanities are cleared of all clutter (personal bathroom items) which I replace after they leave. They do the floor at the end of the day and mop themselves out the door. I do my own towels, sheets and laundry the day before they are scheduled. So every Tuesday my villa is spotless. BTW, the housekeeper says my house is easy because I keep things picked up, there is no clutter and spills are cleaned immediately. We also squeegee the shower door after every use.
I am a bit envious you have the @eureka vacuum system. I canr afford it but one day I will. Taking care od my elderly mother it would come in handy and less time on my chores, more focus on her. So grateful for my mum and thank you for Inspiring me! GOD BLESS! ❤Xoxo

I always love hearing this advice and I strive to do that daily. Also love hearing about decluttering as it's another thing that's so necessary to do. I've been trying to have a plan each day for housework, and I found it encouraging to see that you plan your housework for each week. Your videos are always motivating and very encouraging. Thank you for reminding us of the schedule you use in cleaning the house. I have attempted to keep up a schedule as well. Having dust allergies makes dusting a hard chore. That seems strange, but i find the task of moving the dust around makes my sinuses flair up. I tend to do it in very small chunks. Fortunately i have a husband who helps a lot, with vacuuming and now that we got a larger mattress, making the bed. Have a blessed week.😊😊

Hi Robin, I have a robot vacuum of a different brand than yours. I love it, but I found that with time, the little brushes caused the edge of my area rugs to fray. So now I only use it on wood, tile and wall to wall carpeted rooms. Now I never use it near my area rugs.
Robin this does encourage me! As you know I have not been able to do much deep cleaning since last May when all my health issues started. I’ve been thinking about hiring a housekeeper. I had one for over 20 years when I worked but let her go when I retired. But I just can’t seem to pull the trigger on that. I am a tidy person and keep things very picked up which helps. I do the swiffer duster and clean Glass and mirrors. I have a robot back also and every couple of weeks Rachel vacuums for me. She comes every Tuesday to get the trash out to the street and do whatever else needs to be done plus gives me a lot of hugs and smooches. She’s such a doll. But today I was noticing that my sink needed a good scrub and it was not smelling that great in my dishwasher either. I ran some vinegar through a wash cycle In the dishwasher and then I wiped it all down with a Clorox wipe on the inside and left it open to air. I poured some baking soda and vinegar down my kitchen sinks and clean them out real good. I think you’re so right about taking care of what God has provided us. We need to be good stewards of what he has provided. This will be a video I will watch over again. you always do such a great job. Love in Christ

Great reset. Finally got a job interview. Also, mailed my contact information and a signed agreement to work for them. I guess that means they will send me a check to get the equipment to do the job. Once I have the equipment, I'll have my orientation via Zoom Meeting since the company is in California and I'm in West Virginia. It is part-time but pays more than my last full-time job.

I’m a grown grandma with adhd so I should know better but I don’t have a set routine. I clean bathroom on Saturday and make my bed everyday. Everything else is …because people randomly call me to chat or keep them company at Walmart and that throws off my entire day because it’s been planned. I definitely do better with structure

Hi Ellen! We previously had a much older iRobot vacuum and this one is considerably quieter. That said, any vacuum with decent suction will probably be a bit noisy. 😉😄🩵
