LFA is spot on. There was one girl in my class(was in my late 20's turning to early 30's) that was super attractive, we started talking and I crushed on her so bad. I knew I have to do the work on me before getting that caliber of a girl (phisically and finnancially) but I was trapped in seeing her every day and also only we 2 happened to fall under the hand of one professional female doctor teacher, so I couldn't even like ignore or stop talking to her.
At that point I was in a loosing and painful position. It was Hell. Obviously she was hanging out with the bad boys when she could.
Long story short, when we graduated I gradually stopped talking to her, started learning and working towards my dream career and hitting the gym.
Now I have more or less the phisique of LFA and building my portfolio for a high earning job and hot girls are checking me out constantly in public meanwhile I used to get ignored. Pretty dramatic difference.
Love it. You chased excellence, are better for it and now these women want you. You win win either way because you are a stronger version of yourself.

I just got out of a situationship with a girl who didn’t have any female friends, only guys. At first I thought it was just a few, but it was all of them. She said that it’s just easier, that is because they are pandering to her BS. I dated her for a bit, we had fun and she ended up saying that she loved me after a 2 months. I didn’t say it back, because I dealt with this crap a loooong time ago so speaking from exp. and know that if these girls aren’t showing you their phone, then those are not just friends, they’re boyfriends or fwbs. She also never had a boyfriend, which became apparent why she never had one. You guys need to stop committing to these girls that keep guys around while you’re dating them and act shady they do not deserve commitment, continue seeing other girls and just have fun with her. I’m with a girl right now. Going on 8 months. Made the mistake of not asking about the count sooner. I asked recently, and I wasn’t happy with the number. We’re both 37 years old, so I wasn’t totally shocked by it, but still had hope it was somewhat lower. Now we’re 8 months in, a lot of feelings and time invested, there’s no turning back now. Other than the number, she’s actually a great gf, very respectful, submissive, thoughtful and comes from a good solid family etc etc. I just can’t get that number out my head. Interesting difference with probably what would be seen as the 'beta orbiter', a friend I had had a thing going on with a married woman, she'd pretend he didn't exist at social events when her husband was there, which is very similar to what you're saying. However, after he was away she was definitely giving choosing signals to him and doing some physically aggressive stuff. My friend told me about a dream he had where him and I were in an apartment and him and her were sleeping together with me in the same room, then I sort of woke up and turned back over pretending to sleep, I asked him what he thought the dream meant, he said "that I need to stop being a degenerate" I agreed, and said it's also very possible something opens up in the future and he could have sex with her if he wanted, he denied and it said no way. She ended up divorcing her husband. She was getting another woman coworker to hint at him to 'text her', since he stopped doing that. I told him it was obvious, he didn't have to try and he was already in, based off everything in the past that happened and what's happening now, and then I reminded him about his dream and what I said. I think what you say is true in a lot of ways, but I think you're also downplaying how deceptive and psychologically pathologized people and women can be, unfortunately it seems a lot of women nowadays can socially say "I'm so glad my boyfriend/husband does/is X" and when no one is around she's sleeping with her coworkers, or some such, chad or not. I think that you are not always in a superior position compared to the orbiters. Among the orbiers, there may be someone she thinks of as a possibility, someone who realistically looks better, or someone from the exes, but you don't know that. He's the "orbiter" this moment, and the reason may be that she's still comparing options. You can't change that much, but it's good to keep in mind. I don't know if it's insecurity or caution.
