So the location of the Exiled Lands was a thing we discussed a lot on our server, and looking at Hyborian maps we came to the conclusion that it was in eastern Stygia, east of Pteion. The coast that you see is likely the River Styx, which has been described as being miles wide in some places; that would also account for the mountains in the north and the desert in the west. It's all just speculation but it'd account for some things you see in the exiled lands, like the Khari in the WC dungeon.
well in the lore the River of styx is said to now have become the River Nile where it's in Egypt and the kingdom of Stygia later becomes Egypt after the second great catalsym.
It could be the Styx... I always guessed the Darfari presence in the game was a strong hint of the E.L. true location... but then FunCon put the Lemurians in the game, and that should imply they must have coming from open sea... The Lemurians are a cool element in the game... but there is no way they'd have crossed such a vast distance, passing by Kambuja, Vendhya, etc, only to find sanctuary in the Exile Lands... FunCon should have called them Valusian remnants or some Atlantean lost colony, or relating them to another people from the westside of Thuria, instead... Anyway... when they released Siptah, they just misplaced the island on the map, swiching it's position from being off the Stygian coast to become the actual Nameless Island, far away in the south... sorry for the long text...
@@bear1050 It can't be that far. It must: 1- have access to the open sea (Lemurians) 2- be close enough to Stygia to justify a "wagon ride" to the place from Khemi (mercenary journal) 3- "Should be" close to at least one urban center (your cross list your crimes and the punishments to those who pick you out of the cross) 4- Darfari are locals (known even back to the giant kings times) I confess I have no idea where to propose it is located. The video you recommended is pretty awesome. Anyway, it is a nice topic of debate. No wonder @Kurthimself said there is constant debate on that on his server. I'd agree with him by locating the E. L somewhere in the Stygian South-East (but, again, how to explain the Lemurians?). My guess would be that even FunCom have no clue where the Exiled Land is located. It could be actually a place outside our mortal world (check for the teacher of Ymir religion reflections, who claims everybody is dead. -- except for you, Razma and Conan, and a few others, such as the Darfari (I guess) -- Why to waste magical bracelets on dying crucified people? Petruso call it exile-reptile land, so it was a hide out for serpent people...well... again, a long post. It is a passionate subject, anyway.
This is actually VERY WRONG, but I don't blame you for thinking this as the landscape, at least the southern parts, are extremely Stygian-esque... However, the Exiled Lands are actually located against the north-west side of the Vilayet Sea, bordering Northern Turan and Hyperborea's Southern Reaches. Evidence for this lies in various spots around the map, with the Lemurians being said to have crossed the Vilayet Sea to migrate here directly with there being a seemingly "open" Sea to the east of the lands, the Volcano located at the northern most-reaches of the lands which is called Mount Voormithadreth which is said to be located within Hyperborea. Along with the Acheronian Ruins littering the lands which only really exist in the lands far north of Stygia as Stygia never had any Acheronian settlements there as both Acheron and Stygia were around during the same time but were rival kingdoms, so it makes no sense for there to be Acheronian Ruins there. Not to mention there being Stygian influence within the northern reaches of Turan as well with the westernmost outpost of the Turanian Empire being Zamboula, as this outpost or settlement is also said to be occupied by Stygians and their Shemite, Kushite, and Darfari slaves.
I love when people try and explain the location of the exiled lands. It doesn't make sense. Everyone always tries to locate by the river. But the game has voormithadreth in it. So it can't make sense no matter how you spin it. Truth is that funcom just threw a bunch of shit together and didn't care if the location made sense
Hello, I am frantically looking for a way to get ahold of the Conan Exiles comic book, but I've noticed you can no longer get it, and there's no signs of it on the internet :( Could you help a curious soul and share those 16 pages? :d Also, thank you for the video, it was really well put together with the voices, scenes and images from the comic - it really helped bring more insight and made it more interesting to watch. It's also how I found out about the existance of the comic book in the first place, and now I CAN'T LIVE WITHOUT IT. pls help
So has no one else tried removing the bracelet by breaking their hand and sliding it off, healing magic exist in this universe right, so even a completely shattered limb could theoretically be repaired right? Or what about cutting off the limb and cauterizing it immediately or taking other precautions to avoid bleeding out like a tourniquet, or does the bracelet simply make any attempt a failure?
Healing magic isn't really a thing in Conan, and broken bones and cauterized wounds are breeding grounds for infection, especially before antibiotics have been invented. Even if you managed to avoid bleeding out, your chances of survival are low. Assuming you did somehow survive and recover, you're in the middle of nowhere and down a hand permanently. No map and limited supplies lowers the chances of making it to civilization. Mek-Kamoses living despite being just a head now is a rare exception due to advanced sorcery, but he could probably leave in his current state, if he got some of those mercs to take him away.
Hmmm…… maybe learn how to communicate in English before you pass judgment on something not being useful. If that is what you just did of course. I can’t tell honestly.
This series is fantastic and the best Conan Exiles lore on the internet please keep at it.

Sure! I may get around to redoing it one day, but it'll be a while.

It’s madara
Great series! Which comic is the video image from?
It's the official Conan Exiles prequel comic from Dark Horse. You get it as part of the Barbarian Edition of the game.
Where did you find the comic that explains the Exiled Lands?
This makes it a lot more interesting.

“The exiled lands are…”
Nah they’re purgatory
Why is Tim in the thumbnail?
He looks like Tim the Enchanter from Monty Python and the Holy Grail. lol
Is that the Wizard Tim?

@Vegvisir92 But the example given didn't say that, it just says a guy tried cutting his arm off and just bled out. Not "he died instantly."
