I’m curious why the demonstrator took the lid off to add each ingredient instead of feeding it through the wide opening.

It would be great if you could give us a comparison video of the Custom 14 and Elite Collection 14. The Custom 14 seems to get the most love on review sites, but the Elite Collection 14 is your higher-end option with a handy mini bowl and more shredding and slicing options. What makes people prefer the Custom 14? Easier to clean? Less storage space? Better, more consistent cuts?

I'm with you, Luke. I'd like a comparison as well I used to have several Kitchenaids, small/medium/large, but KA kinda let me down over the years (mixers are crap compared to what they used to be), so looking for something to replace that brand for me.

opened mine today. was a bit disappointed that food was chopped into much smaller pieces than i had expected. this is my first fp after the first one has been sitting in storage for 10+ years. i bought this one mainly to make dog food for mini dachshunds. it's fine for that purpose. however, if it were able to DICE like your Element 13, it'd be perfect to make human food too! will Cuisinart make a dicing kit for this Elite 2.0 fp? Breville is waving at me with open arms...

Well now when it won't stay on I can bypass the safety lock through the hole I drilled in the lower handle at a point I can press a lever inward with a chop stick so it runs of course with the lid secured on just for safety and so no mess. Still don't know why the interlocking connection is not tight enough to press it on it could be the lid or the main bin, but it won't stay on easily or long to grate nor to chop. Its been extremely ackward and hard to get it to run. Parts not available and expensive when they were. FYI I engineered this not William. Saking handle vinegar and water and blowing it with a straw cleared some of the handle in the dirt out, not all.

So is it really hard to clean, gasket won't remove and it always malfunctions? So many complaints on it - and yet the new Custom Core also has complaints about being loud, not solid and moves on the counter when in use, and the pulse does not stop immediately. Why can't Cuisinart make a product in the USA and resolve these issues? All the Custom Core videos are set to music so we can't hear the loudness of the machine, so guess it is not quiet..and they never show the pulse either. An independent reviewer showed the pulse doesn't stop fast...OY..I'll look at Breville.

Way better video quality. The spokesperson is way better than the previous lady. Thank for this video.

Too bad it has such a poor design...impossible to get food particles out of the handle and the lid is a real pain to clean.

Has the small bowl been redesigned since this vid was posted?
Your website says the capacity is 4½ cups.

No one admits the Elite 14 EFP 14DC malfunctions due to the poor locking mechanism stops engaging eventually. If there are parts in stock likely $100 and probably not worth the expense. You can bye pass the mechanism if you can engineer and drill a whole in the right spot and use a Chinese chop stick to press it to work. the lid plunger plunges the handle in a whole near the bin of the container which has an mechanical levers inside it that may be dirty. .I am now soaking that handle before I drill holes to bypass the connections to try to press those levers. Just never put your hands inside that container blades spinning. 20 yr motor warranty and 3 year general. Its not the motor.
