I'm so sad I don't understand Somali, beautiful language and Somalis are so lucky to have a beautiful history and a beautiful culture. All the love from Egypt ❤
A friend mentioned this tea and I searched for recipes on UA-cam. I saw this video and this seemed pretty easy. I must say that I really love love love this recipe. My first somali tea was a huge success and super delicious ❤️👌. Thank you so much for sharing this!!!

I am half somali and half Italian and i don’t see my dad anymore so I can’t make stuff like this and fufu so I just watch vids to hope it makes me happy

I'm a big fan of Somali tea or what I call camel tea. So, I gave it a try using the following method: 1. Boiled 1 litre of pasteurized camel milk + tea masala spice separately 2. Brewed tea leaves in 1.5 cups of water separately 3. Poured the brew in the milk and brought it to a boil Q. Was my method correct? Q. It had a bitter taste. Why? 😭😭😭
We love your work abaayo but Somali tea is never cooked with the milk. You make the tea first and then traditionally in rural Somalia, the women milk the goats and then add the rich, creamy, frothy milk on preference. But if that's how you like to make your tea it's fine sister ❤❤
@@ahmeddahir47 that's not the traditional way of making tea lol. That'd be a waste of milk, sugar ,spices and tea leaves. Most people in miyi add milk to the tea. And tea is usually stored in flasks wllo to preserve it's temperature. But as I said, there are several ways f making tea. Thanks
@@monasirtakesitall I don't know how you make your tea? But this is a classic way of making Somali tea. Whether you want to put in flask or not that is entirely upt you?
@@ahmeddahir47 I have never heard of putting the milk in first so I was confused 😭 but he is right traditionally it's always been water boiled first and then later milk added
