Delaware where the price on the shelf is the price you pay when you leave the store. Why do 49 states and DC tell you the sales tax free price if you never ever pay it?
The detour takes one by places that people go to regularly that sell basics like gas, food etc tax-free and the field which once had the Chrysler plant that Bob Marley worked at.
I'm from Newark Delaware and I love the state. With all her flaws :) we are well rounded. And they don't lie about to roadwork IT IS EVERY WERE! Where I live I can be in Maryland, Pennsylvania, New Jersey within an hour. Less than an hour to Philadelphia for Baltimore.
Baltimore is a little further away actually. And Newark huh? I went there to that high school you might have heard of; Glasgow. I went last month for competition for JROTC from here at Maryland. It happen like around beginning of February. And we met cool people in your state from North Wilmington. Had a good time there in Delaware.
THE YELLOW BRIDGE!! 💗 I used to live in Delaware but job change has me stuck in the hell hole we call California 😕 No sales tax and affordable living are some of things I miss 😂.... also snow (actually all seasons, colors and smells in general...California is basically full of nothing but dead plants....the color green isn’t even the same 🙄) I used to pass under and on that yellow bridge to get home and it’s kinda special to me! Being 3,000 miles away, I really miss Friendly’s, Salad works, and Creation Station Shout out to all my favorite people in Middletown too! (Also please help the educational system in California, it sucks. Not even kidding it’s like 2-3 years behind Delaware and I’m getting stupider by the day 🙃)
I can relate to this. I lived 7 years in Delaware...Wyoming, DE., then Milford, DE. I'm from Philly originally and moving to Southern Delaware was a bit of a culture shock at first. Moved from Delaware to Florida in 1980. Still have friends there and visit every other year or so.
I see 12 dislikes and 435 likes. First, who could dislike this song? It is an homage to the First State of the Union, the United States. Secondly, its 100% true. Somebody knows somebody who knows somebody that either worked or works at DuPont. Its a parody of the matter of size, congestion, yet a state that people flock to for enjoyment. Buck up and appreciate the attention. I'm a "Murlander" and I think DELAWARE ROCKS! :)-
I'm from Delaware but I go to school at Ole Miss (in Mississippi) and strangely I'm very proud of this oddly shaped peninsula we call the first state! The waters brown but so is liquor so let's party til the crabs come home!
I was born and lived at DAFB and know what you mean with fond childhood memories. The seasons were perfect with no humitity and snowed every winter to a kids delight. We eventually moved off base to Briar Park eventhough my dad remained in the A F and I went to Ceasar Rodney, but still loved Dover just the same. Although that was 40 years ago, they still have many of the same businesses that I frequented as a kid. I noticed this when I revisited in December 2011.
is delaware a nice place? i know someone who lives there and they said its realy nice and quiet. now im from new york city and i wanna escape all that noise, i wonder if delaware has some nice places in the suberbs
I grew up in Delaware, raised my family down south, and am now back in the First State. Yes, there's some truth to this catchy little diddy (lyrics are great) and there are many places I've never been to but on the whole, it's a great place to live and I love the access to the metro corridor, from New York to Washington, D.C.
I'm from Pa but vacationed every summer at Delaware Seashore State Park/Indian River Inlet - these were the BEST times ever. I had my first "legal" drink at the Bottle and Cork and remember great times at the Rusty Rudder. I loved the beaches. Everything was better then.
Do not forget the Harley dealer, "Mike's Famous". The most posh vehicle sales agency. Lots of HDs, and a fabulous cafeteria. Best of all, restrooms with nobody trying to hustle you for slot machine money.
This video makes me smile every time I watch it:) I'm not from Delaware, I'm actually from Missouri. But one of my best friends lives in Newark, and some of my favorite memories are my trips there to visit her. No more Kahunaville:(. That was a favorite. We always make fun of it's quirks, but I really love that place:)
The history of the very first state is so rich. I'm surprised Hollywood isn't more interested in using it as a common filming location in comparison with Los Angeles.
Straight out of Delaware. Newark! Haha this video always makes me laugh. And I love how people from Delaware know where almost every single place they mention are.
Im going one year abroad to the US and they told me I would be placed in the southeast. My possibilities are Alabama, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Maryland, North/South Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia and Washington DC. What can you tell me about them?
I'm from New York, been to Delaware many times, enjoyed each time. Sure beats the crime, congestion, taxes, unemployment and multiculturalism of New York.
I'm from delaware and I call it the gas station of the east. 45 mins to Philly or Baltimore, 2 hours to New York, 2 1/2 hours to DC, and an 1 1/2 to the beaches.
+Broncosdude 18 , 2 hours from downtown Wilmington to downtown NYC, via NJ T-Pike; depending on time of day - not rush hour. Check Google Maps: 123 miles.
I wanna put all our family pic from across the state to this song. Would that be okay? Or is there copyright issues? Not gonna make money, just post on Facebook for family.

DOVER REPRESENT!!!! lol. I just moved to europe from there. I miss Dover. Yes I know it is the first state. I was born in Michigan and moved to Delaware when I was 3. I am a military brat. So it was always nice there for me. Delaware is close to enough major big cities that I was content to live there.
Yep, they closed Kanunaville. There's still one in Las Vegas at Treasure Island. It's much smaller, but they still have the flashy bartending. I think there's also one in Tampa, FL.
@ShikSkully I like Delaware.....correction. I LOVE DE....I love Trader Joes, Claymont, Concord, Marsh Road, Arden, Wilmington, the river.....i loves it alllllll and I am from London

Delaware where the price on the shelf is the price you pay when you leave the store. Why do 49 states and DC tell you the sales tax free price if you never ever pay it?
Delaware where people pay a $4 toll to go on 95 between Md and Del when a 10 minute detour would cut it out.
Maxundmoritz Hautala im with you
The detour takes one by places that people go to regularly that sell basics like gas, food etc tax-free and the field which once had the Chrysler plant that Bob Marley worked at.
There are a few other states with no sales tax?
@@pisces2569 Oregon...Delaware....Alaska....Montana...New Hampshire
All have no state sales tax

HOME!! Someone did ask me if Delaware was a government project. I didn't know how to respond to that.
What is that even supposed to mean?
13 years later and this song can’t be anymore true
And hello to my fellow Delewareans

Orlando is my favorite state

One nice thing about Delaware is that it is one of the few states with no sales tax.
I was born and lived at DAFB and know what you mean with fond childhood memories. The seasons were perfect with no humitity and snowed every winter to a kids delight. 15 years later after this release nothing has changed and they're still doing construction everywhere
I live in New Castle, by way of Wilmington. Used to be nice, but i'm ready to go.
I grew up in new castle 😁
The Minquadale part k*lled me 😂😂😂

In Delaware we sing this every morning in school instead of the national anthem

Frankly I would be surprised if Hollywood knew it even existed. I mean they made Fight Club but didn't even keep the location Wilmington, DE
The feel when they shut down Kahonaville for partying too hard...

Anyone else from Delaware run into people who have no idea that it's a state?
Happens to me all the time.
