I have dyscalculia. Maths has always been a major struggle for me ever since Primary school, but you've been my primary source of revision for maths. And I can now say my mathematic ability has improved drastically thanks to your videos. I'm sure many thousands of teenagers around the country feel similar things. All I can say is thank you Corbett Maths. I have been watching your videos since year 7, as I always struggled with maths. Despite a difficult paper 1 from edexcel, paper 2 went slightly better. Hey, your such an amazing teacher! Im a bit worried because i should have put more practice in. In the last 3 mocks i have gotten grade 9 thanks to your amazing resources, but i am scared because i feel i haven't performed well on paper 1 and 2. Whats the best way to prepare for the last questions? Usually they are very hard to practice on especially when we dont know what topic will come up

also, for paper 1 and paper 2 i ran out of time (so i didnt get to answer a couple questions on each paper), i dont take extra time at school but do you have any tips on how i can finish under the time limit?
Thanks so much! Keep an eye on the clock and use the recommendations that your teacher may have given you in terms of the time per mark. Depending on your exam board, this can vary slightly... for instance AQA & Edexcel, I would recommend 1 minute for 1 mark, but this wouldn't work for OCR.... therefore go for the advice your teacher has given you. Sir,i think i got 45, and 30 on paper 1 and 2. Do you think i can still get a grade 6?, and what mark would i need to get it?
I always just say try your very best 👍 there’s quite a few variables such as what the grade boundaries will be, what mark you scored on papers 1&2 (as you may have picked up method marks etc), which exam board… so it would only be a guess. I would recommend trying to focus on doing as well as possible tomorrow. Good Luck!

I love maths and its always been my strongest subject. This year im doing my maths and further maths exams. In my mocks I always got over 90%.
However I feel like I didn't do very well in papers 1 and 2 due to time management and small errors.
As a result I am scared that Ill fall off the grade 9.
How should I approach the exam tomorrow?

Hopefully you may have performed better than you expect on Papers 1 and 2… sometimes we can look back and be quite self-critical to how we performed, whereas we may have picked up a lot of method marks, or the exam was tricky and everyone found it hard (resulting in lower boundaries).
Try not to think too much about the previous papers and consider this paper as a fresh start. Hopefully it will include topics that you prefer.
Also if you’ve found that your timings were off during papers 1 and 2, consider any advice your teacher has given you as to what pace you should work through the paper. Keep an eye on the clock so that you don’t spend too much time on one question.
Try not to worry too much (easy for me to say), but just know you’ve tried your very best and that’s all you can ever do.
I really hope that your last paper goes well and once it’s over, try not to worry about it, just focus on any remaining exams and have a good summer
