@Steelmage: Goratha does not say purple is best for rarity alone. The main reason why it is so busted are the stygian spires, which fire projectiles that spawn mobs and purple gives monsters extra projectiles.
HUH That's an extremely interesting method for scaling the risk/reward for a league mechanic. I wonder if that interaction was identified, but ignored or if it was just straight up not identified. I wonder if a similar reward scaling method could be implemented in the future.

yup what dfoug said, and having the increased effect of mods + wandering path atlas tree ups it tp +3 proj. Basically the Spires shoot out projectiles that hit the ground and spawn mobs, which with all the small Abyss nodes is where the majority of your density is so you want to avoid killing the Spire to fast
When abyss spawns a spire at the end it shoots balls that create mini abysses on the ground which spawn monsters. These balls count as projectiles, so +2 proj on map makes the spire spawn more pits which in turn spawn more monsters. At 9:16 you can see multiple green pits that are spawning monsters, without multi proj it would spawn that many pits.
also to add on you aim to have 4 voidstone socketed so you can benefit from 4 sextants, but remove 3 so that you get T7 Cemetery drops. This is a sweet spot since the ilvl allows for T0 uniques like Mageblood and Headhunter to drop while also being low enough level to NOT allow abyssal depths to spawn bosses to maximize the amount of Spires per map

I can't believe I'm gonna say this but Affliction may be overtuned in terms of drops. It is just absurd how much loot you're getting to the point that doing any other non-mapping strategies is a waste of time. Im not even a MF char and I honestly can't remember a map where I didnt get a Divine drop. Usually I drop at least 2 + another 2 in random loot. Every 3-4 map you i'm getting some absurd scarab/currency explosions. Im as casual as they come and yesterday I had time to do like 9-10 maps in total and earned 30 div with investing maybe 30c in each map. Crazy league.
@@playstoomuchpoe I did 8-mods + abyss with sextant and gilded scarab+ altars. This was main source. On top of that I throw anything that is cheap and give some rare monsters(legion scarabs, elder/guardian etc.). I chose maps with high value cards(burial, crimson t., cementary) and thats it. Reinvested in my build so I could get better surv.(EB inq.). Oh yeah and I was buying maps that were already rolled with beyond an had beyond nodes on tree. Maps were cheap enough, 10c on average so it was much cheaper than to buy beyond sextant.
The divine explosion is super rare and if you calculate it down most likely only a smaller part of your profits. If your sample size is under 100 fully juiced maps then you shouldnt be surprised that you arent getting drops
This league should have never made it into the game. MF was already the strongest mapper and they were very careful to make league mechanics that were self-contained and doable by everyone for the past year or two. This really just highlighted how out of control MF stacking has gotten which is exactly why they changed alters and nerfed basic currency drop rates in Sentinel. By adjusting the base to try to reign MF in without having to retro all gear in standard. You don't get anywhere near this level without MF stat on gear. You will only see top left bubble gum for the most part. With every 20-50 maps maybe a single div drop.

just cant get this to work, max juice i can get is less than 5k even then no divine explosions
