Caught Brian live about 6-7 years ago and the best part of the show was Brian at the piano playing this. He sounded fantastic and I teared up the whole song. Such a talented man. I'm glad he beat his demons. ❤

I remember when I bought this CD when it was initially released back in the summer of ‘88. I’m a huge Beach Boys fan. I was so excited to find out that Brian was releasing a solo album, but I was also nervous. I was wondering if Brian still had his magic. I never should have doubted him. I was in awe of the opening notes of Love and Mercy, and the magic lasted throughout the whole album. Love and Mercy is his signature song of his solo career. Well done, Brian.
