Watching this video I just got an idea for another video for you. Now that we know that you ride a motorbike you could take a weekend and do a motorbike camp😃. I also ride and have been wanting to motorbike camp as well except ive got a dog and two birds at home so can't do it. I have however built an off grid cabin on my property and spend weekends there. It has solar as well as grid power. Grid to run a small fridge. Last weekend I, the birds and dog spent the weekend. I had to run a heater because it got down to around 4c at night. The birds was mesmerized by the heater so I guess they took it upon themselves to take fire watch😄. Also if you get an "e-tool" you could dig a shallow hole for your fire so you're not digging like a dog in the woods. And afterwards you could burry the remains of the fire. And it never hurts to have a shovel😊
@@EastAnglianBushcraft it is. Been working on it since September 2019. Just this spring its ready for drywall. Its quiet despite being about 300 meters from the road.
Great to see you out and about m8. Amazing thing is, 30 seconds into watching the very first vid of yours I ever saw, I thought to myself, he’s a green lid. Well done mucker. Mark.
Nice camp, I'm also planning an overnighter with my DD3X3 and considered the tent configuration, though I'm not a ground dweller, I love my hammock. Nice to see you slept well in it. Enjoyed the video, thanks for sharing!
Awesome video as always love the chilled out vibe and its cool to see the dd 3 by 3 tent setup like that you took a chilled approach with the fire i love seeing you do complicated setups but its always nice to a simple fire setup every now and then legend craig
Absolutely love your videos mate, I like how genuine they are and the simplicity of the kit you use, as you say you don’t have to spend a fortune. I have found the more money you spend on kit the less you enjoy getting out there and using it!
From one East Anglian to another - thank you so much for your wonderful, inspirational videos! You take care, look after yourself and thanks for sharing mate.
The more of your vids I watch the more I like you my man! I’m also from Norfolk, an electrician (currently working in railway maintenance) , a biker and obviously love all this outdoors biz! Keep doin your thing bro x
When you mentioned, Thetford forest was caught on fire recently I guess I better stay away for a while, I was planning to go there either this or next week. I literally don't understand people that leave rubbish or as you said who do not pay attention to their fires... Since I started wild camping I'm sticking to gas stove rather than starting fires. I may one day but I will make sure it is safe to do so and not only cause as little damage to the surrounding but make sure it is properly dealt with before leaving.
From a fellow camper who's been doing this stuff since I was a kid, I'm 45 now and I'm now doing it with my kids, love watching your content everytime it makes me want to be in the woods. If you ever come Nottingham/peaks we say let me know would love to do a camp with you. Keep doing what your doing.
Another great little camp mate, good on ya! Bloody ticks eh!? I’ve only ever had one and that was at thetford, Thanks for sharing buddy, catch up soon Ash
I do love silver birch (my grandad evidently loved it as well, he had a silver birch planted for him as a memorial in the cemetery- I was about 7 at the time, it’ll be a big tree now, that was 49 years ago), remember years ago, I’d pack a load of newspapers😩, candles and a lighter just to get my fire going😞…….then I discovered the wonders of birch bark and a ferro rod, never looked back!😁
Hi craig Exellent really enjoyed this so happy to see the pull saw in action and to meet joe. You guys had a great camp and shows. Keep up the exellent channel man. Respect. Jeppo.
I am so happy I found my Dad's old thermarest light weight chair, you just fold the sleep pad up & it slots in to make a dam comfy ground chair to chill in.

As soon as you put up the Tarp Tent I thought, I hope there’s no gnats about. Ha ha! The downfall of the open side tarps. Drives me nuts! Oh and slugs in the morning too. Tents solves that problem of course. Good to see something different though Craig, thank you for a great vid.

My dad told me that they used to use gorse flowers to colour boiled hens eggs at Easter- put them in the boiling water🤔, reckon you could use them to make yellow pilau rice too!!😏👍
I also tried out the DD3X3 tarp tent setup last month as well, made a video of it too. I slept well, I slept across long ways, and my feet stayed pretty warm overnight. Good video, thanks for sharing! 🤙
The height of your cooking branch surprised me, I would have put it lower to get a bigger advantage of the heat from the embers. I would also have kept it for the next morning to make coffee ! I'm a "don't talk to me before my coffee" person ! HA HA HA Add to that some rashers of bacon and a few fried eggs ! Morning Bliss
Birch fires are so hot it’s not really an issue on height and I had all day so wasn’t in a rush for pasta to boil. I like to chill and let it simmer away !
