      @@TDMStyle nothing compares man, it's simply incredible.
      The amount I use is half a pea size.. It has some resilience going in as you apply but nothing too bad, but man.. It then transforms into something smooth, but with some control that is unparalleled!! Your hair then feels smooth, nourished, with all those amazing ingredients..
      The volume never quits, the hold never quits, the texture never quits,.. You wake up in the morning and it's nice and smooth, but still holds like crazy haha you can do 2 days with a single tiny application..
      Nothing compares.. But.. A little goes a LONG way.. It also washes out super easily.
      Man..I'm telling y'a.. This is Oasis on crack, at every level.
      The scent is almost unnoticeable, slight herbal sipced cinnamon kinda thing but it's so light you can barely smell it in the jar.
      This product, is absolutely incredible from every aspect.
      You would love it in your hair as it nourishes it while giving it that nice textured volume with some unparalleled hold 💪🏼💪🏼💪🏼💪🏼💪🏼💪🏼💪🏼

    Pomades always interest me, but I also have the issue with more shine looking greasy. Next time I might try this one out 🙂

    Off topic question, but I've never used a dry shampoo before and usually wash my hair daily. I'm thinking maybe a dry shampoo would be good to experiment with -- I looked at your past reviews but couldn't really tell if you have a go-to/gold standard dry shampoo you'd recommend? Is there a specific one you'd say is good to start with?

      Definitely the Xmondo one - amazing stuff!

    Hey Matt are oil based clays greasy ? Or does that happen when you use it on top of say a pre style paste ( sea salt ) and I used Fuentes but it felt greasy and kept dropping foward

    • @TDMStyle
      @TDMStyle  2 роки тому

      OBs can definitely get greasy, especially the more you use. Fuertes you only need a tiny amount so I’d say give it a try with less and see how it goes!

    Sorry if you’ve made a video answering this question before but for men what is the best serum and eye cream you’ve ever tried? Price doesn’t matter I’m just curious what you think is the best. Thanks!

      I haven't tried a ton of them, but I've been a big Kiehls fan for a long time. I really love their vitamin C undereye serum for my dark circles. And I just started using another one of their serums for my face, but I can't remember the name off the top of my head. But I really haven't tried a bad product from them! And if you go into their store, they'll assess your skin and recommend the right stuff for you.

    What do you estimate the shelf life of unopened products to be ? I'm new to clays/pastes/thingsthatyouplasteralloveryourhair and am still looking for the couple of products that will be the perfect ones for my hair type. I've bought about 7-8 of them so far (mainly thanks to your videos, by the way 👍), but properly testing them will take me a while, so I'm wondering how thorough I can afford to be and not risk some of them turning bad. In case you need more details : a couple of sea salt texture sprays, the rest is a bunch of matte pastes/clays (all homebrew, as I prefer to support small businesses). Thank you 😊

    • @TDMStyle
      @TDMStyle  2 роки тому +1

      Most products are labeled with their shelf life - it’s the little icon that looks like a jar, and has something like “12M” on it (which means 12 months). I think this is technically the shelf life after opening, but yeah, generally speaking it’s about a year. Even then, most won’t really “go bad” per se, they just might not perform as well as when they are fresh.

    • @bilrts55
      @bilrts55 2 роки тому

      @@TDMStyle Yeah I noticed that as well, and I believe you're right about it being the shelf life after opening (hence the opened jar icon). I was more curious about unopened products, especially water-based ones. Have you ever had any issues, given how many products you probably have around?

    • @serenei007
      @serenei007 2 роки тому +1

      @@bilrts55 I've never had any problems. I usually own about 10 products at a given time. If i have a product for longer than a year and it still hasn't been used, I'm probably kidding myself that I'd actually getting around to it.
      I've a few "back ups" like, break here in case of emergency types, e.g. TIGi bedhead and its fine.
      My favourite one so far has been a lockharts clay and I'm saving a small amount to "battle it out" with others that measure up and it seems fine after about 15 mths.
