Hi! I have been looking for a lot of videos lately about this laser cutter because I will be buying it soon and I have found your videos very helpful. I have two questions :) does this laser cutter come with testing materials? I think it’s odd if it doesn’t but I think it doesn’t since it wasn’t in the video and my other question is what cheap materials would you recommend to use when just testing for new ideas and not necessarily a final project. Thanks

Glad you found us! To answer your questions: 1. YEs, that Aura came with one small piece of basswood plywood to start testing on. 2. We usually recommend testing basic designs on mdf ( which is really cost effective). It also paints pretty easily. That way you can even make a finished product start to finish and see if you like it. Once you have your design you can always upgrade the materials to regular plywood or acrylic.

Do you think the personal filter is necessary?

Not completely necessary as long as you have access to a window to vent it out of! I vent my other machine outside and it works perfectly fine! More cost effective too.
