Hi Simple wifi, am starting a WISP business this month, I first want to start with Access point for my community . which of these antennas can be used for long distance, high speed etc
can you do a video about the clients (CPE) config ? and please explain how you connect to a specific CPE while there is couple of them in the covered area .thank you
Shouldn't you be using one MIMO ready antenna & not two separate antennas? Aren't the MIMO antenna supposed to both be pointing the same way & one is vertically polarized and one is horizontally polarized?
Not always applicable. A MIMO antenna is really 2 antennas inside the same housing. That's why MIMO antennas are typically panels since they can be easily managed into the same box. Some can be cross polarized but it's not always the case. In my example, I am using 2 SISO antennas vertically polarized and they work as intended - which was far reaching internet. Of course as I moved further and further way speeds dropped.
Craig Mullins well I'm living in mexico rural zone is far away from the city like 3 hours i connected my house phone with cables is antena above my house but now I want to have wi-fi what is the best for rural zone to have great wifi
Hey, firstly thanks for making this video. I own a CCTV business. I want to know that can we transmit data of IP camera over this. In other words, I want to connect around 50 IP camera's using this technology. Is this possible, if yes, how ?
Thanks, glad you liked it. Yes you can connect multiple cameras to this network. It just broadcasts a signal and then everything you want can connect to them.
Can we connect multiple routers through POE to transmit t the signals through one base station, for multiple clients. I am I small isp and want to expand my network, through wireless network please help. and can switches be helpful in this case?
Following the prices, concurrent user is very low, because if i may consider it for densed areas, It is not going to be an idea worth it. Consider increasing concurrent user... As your concept is good.
Question:i live in a rural area and i use a sim router i get around 10mbs and would this work to get a better signal that doesnt disconnect if i put in on a tall metal pole
Simple WiFi please, I wanna create a wifi base station similar to the setup you have and also I wanna get help on a self registering captive portal and cost of the setup in the video.
hello sir please help, I'm starting an ISP wifi business using captive portal vouchers, I have ARC-VS2718SV1 antennas available. would these sectorial antennas work for me or not? I tried a lot to setup the base station but still not working.

having trouble finding an access point like the one in you're video. I found 3 but ones out of stock the other is only rated for -8 degree F. (it often gets colder than that) and the other is $1000 and has a lot of features i don't need
try taking a look at ubiquiti. I'm actually sending decent internet from 10 miles away since the providers In my area are money hungry cheapskates that charge 120 a month for internet that can't load Gmail. anyway ubiquiti actually has some nice stuff. and a few youtubers cover them
Hello sir, I am planning to build a mini base station and want to send the internet signal to my 3 properties in different locations, each is about 5 km away facing north and east from the base station. each property must have a wifi installed in it.. is this possible? what is the best antennas for this setup?
A base station using parabolic to bridge between each location is what you need, not sectorials. At each location you will have a repeater grabbing the signal from the base then passing it along. You need to do more if a POINT TO POINT bridge rather than a base station.
can you show me a simple diagram please? do i need to use 3 parabolic antennas from base? and an example model of antennas that will need to use.. thank you.
We set up a Long Range Wifi connection on two bands (2.4 GHz and 5 Ghz) with parabolic antennas. We used two WRT1200AC router with OpenWRT to measure the transfer bitrate. Our measurement results were only maximal 500 KBit/s on 6 km distance. Is that normal? For us it seems very low compared to other scientific paper. The transmit power was limited by the german restrictions (2.4 GHZ: 100mW; 5 GHz: 1 W).
With those power ratings that sounds about right over that distance. How high and above the obstructions were the antennas? Did you do a Fresnel zone calculation? That is what most people usually miss on these links - especially with such a low bit rate. ALSO, I have never had luck with WRT and speed. Even when I would do links at about 50 meters with an input of 75mbps, the resulting output was less than 5. For some reason WRT does not pass bandwidth that well.
Is there a website or link to some of the equipment such as the access point? I already own 6 of the sectorials but can't seem to find the access point I need.
There is a cell tower very close to my house around 10 metre away from the house. This tower belongs to a cell phone communication company. I would like to learn how to get access in order to gain a free WiFi connection? What type of device should I use to get connected to that tower?
Sorry to be offtopic but does any of you know of a way to get back into an instagram account?? I somehow forgot the password. I would appreciate any tricks you can give me!
You'll be lucky to get 150 - 300 feet. A cell phone antenna is small and data transmission has to go both ways. The base can get to the phone, but the phone won't be able to transmit back to the base... Now if say you put a small router/access point in your car or something like that you could connect phone to car access point & have that connect to the base.... You could go FAR...
Hi, I have a problem with the sectorial antenna, It's simply not working. the model I have is HG2420P-120 www.l-com.com/wireless-antenna-24-ghz-20-dbi-120-degree-sector-panel-wlan-antenna I have connected Mikrotik base box 2 but is not working even like a very simple wifi router. even I checked with enginues dual-band outdoor. Could you please let me know which specific router is working with these antennas, I have 66 of this but could not use it's function. Thanks.
It's probably not the antenna - it's most likely the configuration of the access point which could not be set to AP Mode. I would double check that first.
I have a question if anybody can answer it please I have a Internet router and it connects to a tower 120 miles away from me not near me how do I fix it It takes a Sims card
