Onion. Garlic and sweet potato lose nutritional value in the fridge and the cold compromised the flavor profiles. Try storing it on the kitchen counter in a bowl.
What about the peppers. Fridge or counter?
Absolutely ! I was like What ? Why is she putting the veggies on the fridge ? Especially the onion and the tomatoes
Ive actually checked (cause in the shop they dont keep it in the fridges) and peppers are best to store in the pantry :)
Recently found out... how you find it in the store is how it should be stored at home! So yes, onion, garlic & sweet potato should be out of the fridge.

If you wanted to make room in your refrigerator you can store sweet potatoes and onions in a cabinet. I keep mine in canvas bags in my pantry. As long as it is dark and low in humidity they will last for at least 2 weeks that way. Just an FYI. I love how simple you keep your diet. With my son it gets too complicated, but your diet is my overall goal.

I thought I was the only one with a tiny fridge! Since moving to Switzerland it has been an adjustment for sure. Our grocery shopping looks incredibly similar and it's so cool to see many of the same products from DE to CH. :)

Love it Annie! I have a money and fridge-space saving tip for you - buy your smoothie greens already frozen! I always pick up bags of spinach and kale to keep in my freezer and pop in my smoothies, that way I also don’t have to worry about my greens wilting. 💕
Oh my goodness! Your fridge and freezer are so cute and tiny! Props to doing Tetris to fit all your yummy foods in there. Major inspiration for me as we are moving and our fridge in our new place is a lot smaller than I’m used to!!

I suggest not storing onions in the fridge, they need to be in a dry, ventilated place, and should last fine for even 2 weeks, depending on room temp.

Quick question! How do you keep fruit flys away? If your apples and fruits are on the counter. I always have this issue
I also have that problem
Pour some wine into a glass and mix in some washing liquid. Wrap plastic on top and poke some holes for the flies to get in! It works better than vinegar 🙂
Wipe the counter with diluted essential oils like tea tree and peppermint

Your speaking my language Annie. I love healthy organic fruits and veggies your shopping grocery makes me happy.😃 Love Dates, nuts dried mango literally all you buy I eat and loves it. Your refrigerator is so cute and your kitchen so beautiful and so clean love it so much. I tried my best most of the time to buy as healthy as I can no dairy and don't eat so much meat. I'm not into meat so much after my husband and I did master cleansing for 10 days all I love is Salmon but I'm obsessed with fruits and vegetable.every time I ate healthy food my body is happy I know someday I will be vegan🙏 hopefully soon. I believe that food is medicine every bite you put on your body is either fighting a disease or feeding it. Our cabinets are also full of great supplements and green healthy powder. Thank you for inspiring me Annie. I love to invest on healthy food also it's worth it I don't get sick at all.

PS if you put your avocado into a brown paper bag, it helps to ripen them much more quickly! It works for kiwi as well! 🥑 🥝
Hi Annie! Love your vids, but I usually avoid the comments section online. For this one I had to comment on a couple of things I found interesting. I’ve never been to Germany, but I was surprised to see how many of the labels on the food items were in English. I know you previously mentioned that many people there do speak English, so I guess that makes sense! Secondly, the size of your fridge and how you make it all work is quite impressive, and has made me realize I definitely don’t need to spend money on a larger unit as I’d been planning to. If you can make that one work, the “tiny” one I’ve got is just fine. :) Your kitchen is really pretty! Lastly, as many others have already mentioned, you can definitely free up tons of space by keeping your potatoes, onion, garlic, tomatoes, and ginger out of the refrigerator. It’s okay I promise! Of course, once you cut into them you’d want to store the leftovers in the refrigerator. It’s interesting, the things you kept on the counter are the things I would have put in the cooler. Lemons and apples would go bad here so quickly if I left them out! Thank you again for your content. 😘
hi Annie thank you for sharing ... y do u keep the onions, potatoes, ginger in the fridge ... u don't one to refgirate them.
Many items you put in ur small fridge such as potoato onion and ginger actually do not need to be refrigerated. Just an FYI if u would like to save space in ur very small fridge or maybe you do not have somewhere to put it. I like to put my non refrigerated fruits and veggies on a large wood platter that also acts as decor. Just a suggestion to save room in ur fridge ❤️

@anniejaffrey ketchup if not organic has high fructose corn syrup which is a terrible additive in processed foods and other kinds of foods and aloe Vera can also be used for sunburns, just FYI if you didn't know already. You may have a small kitchen but you have all you need to be very happy in it 😊 it only shows that one doesn’t need anything big and fancy to be happy. Simplicity is the key, they say and it’s one of my goals in my apartment. On another note, dates and peanut butter giirrll.... don’t even get me started, I’m obsessed 😋🙌🏻 already looking forward to your apartment tour, I’m really interested in the storage furniture in your living room. I didn't realize that sweet potatoes were supposed to go into the fridge. I was storing mine on the counter top. Also, do you have to wash the basil leaves off before you cook with them? What kind of probiotic do you take?

Annie, if you prefer to avoid gluten for good digestion + clear skin...it’s worth knowing that oat milk naturally contains gluten (unless it’s a GF variety) you might like to try brown rice milk instead which is also low in fat (although natural fats are SO good for skin, brain, hormones and fertility so don’t shy away!) and rice milk is super delicious too! Loved this vlog, so gorgeous to watch! 💕 xx
