Don't apologize for your house! It's great that you have a spot to land for awhile; a house is the best spot for repairs, storing things you don't want to take on a trip! Your house was a good decision!
That’s awesome that you are able to switch gears and just keep going. We want to downsize our 35’ fifth wheel and buying an older RV is on our list. But with all the shortages, it makes us want to wait until we know we can get parts- like solar. Loving the peacock blue/turquoise. Put the TV on an arm so it can go in different directions. You are making me double think van life. Lots of great info. Good luck with all the projects, Alice
Nice break in staying in the state park after sanitizing the water lines and tanks. The space where the table was put a TV on a lift that is attached to a bracket that can turn towards the chair or stay straight to your couch.....just a suggestion.... that's a great idea for the cats. Suggestion have the pressure in the line going to your fridge checked for running it off propane. Oh you can't help to bring the rain...No it's not you it is just this quirky year.
You could put a small tv where that fold down table/counter is. Or maybe an external monitor (and get a wireless keyboard & mouse?). Also, you *could* toilet-train Jax & Tara. No more litter mess or expense. No space taken up by the box.
Eric, ive been watching you for almost 10 years and you inspired me to move into a van back then. I had to wait till the kids moved out but Ive been living full-time in mine for almost 3 years now. Good to see you back in a van 🚐✌👍🍻 awesome!!! Safe travels....
the bvd storage bins that look like they are made out of soft rope are squishy instead of solid ~ they work great for small spaces, Fred Meyer has them ~ love your new van, looking forward to seeing the progress 👍🏼
If you don't mind drilling into the roof of the van or can some how put 2x4 flat against the ceiling between the two top cabinets with brackets, you can get a flip down TV mount and just flip the TV up when you are not using it.
Hey Eric, Jax and Tara, What's GOOD ? Love the campervan. Can't wait to see where you guys go in your first couple places. Have FUN & TAKE CARE. Safe travels. 🚍🛣🏕🌙
We have a Ford Transit T350 passenger van with the seats removed. We love the convenience of the van. I hope you enjoy your van as much as we enjoy ours. Maybe you won't find it difficult moving back down to something small. ~Scotty
I think when you get Vanna all fixed up, she's gonna look very nice! You really like working on projects don't you? Its a rare person that lets anything stop them and you certainly don't, inspite of all that frickin rain!
Looks fun. We put our cat box in front of the passenger chair. In. our case we rotate our chair to travel but the cat box stays there and works great. Have Fun.
We did cat box in a tub for a while but the litter gets out, then down the drain then it's like concrete. I don't recommend that unless you block the drain and clean it all out every time. Cat loft in the cab-over is a cool idea.
I saw Cesar Milan did a youtube video that showed a way to keep many cats in the same house without killin each other..Made a staircase with seats for each different cat to have their own space. It worked and kept all kitties safe from each other. Excellent idea.. also the cat area had a wood post so kitties could scratch whenever they wanted and not scratch on anything else ...That would be nice in the new van..
Eric, If you're having trouble with wtr heater, fridge on propane and hot air heater. Have you checked the propane regulator, it could be stuck shut from sitting.
I chuckled when he mentioned leaving his power cord and sewer pipe on the ground. I give it 2 weeks at a campground and they'll both be stolen. We've been lucky, but I definitely wouldn't leave the power cord.
My sister and I use to take a van with us when we worked at craft shows and Pow Wow's now we have upgraded to a trailer that she will be pulling with her truck. We have not stayed in the trailer as yet because shows have not all opened up due to the pandemic - it will be next year before hopefully things get back to normal. We did not mind the van although ours did not have a bathroom which was a real pain. But I cannot wait until we get to stay in the new trailer.
Yep, you’re gonna love the freedom van compared to the class A. I had the same thing. A class A and a camper van. I loved that class A space and big tank fulla hot water, but zipping around in the van was so freeing and THEN, I built out a camper Prius! Woah it’s like a rocket ship with 65 mpg and a built in toilet, built in cabinets, a cook station, fridge and an inverter for the induction stove. But I can’t let go of my old Chevy camper van and I’m building out a new ProMaster so it will be like eenie meenie miny mo 😂 I just can’t beat the cool vibe of my sweet old Chevy tho.
I don’t know if anyone else has commented about this yet, but your new intro is fantastic. Great editing & choice of music! Of course, I love to hear & see those 2 beautiful kitty 🐱 cats 🐈, as well.😻👍🏻✌🏻
Was waiting for the hormel dinner to end up on a plate. NICE! That dinner is like a MRE in a plastic container instead of a retort pouch. Could be a video idea van life MRE reviews?
Should have a easy time getting to places you want to see in city in the van. Once you get both the van and the class A, fixed up you will have a lot of good options for travel.
I seem to remember someone moving out of a class c into a tricked out cargo van. Only to get another class c because there wasn't enough room for him and his kitty. Your reasoning back then for doing that will be real apparent soon as you start this new adventure. At least this time the solution is a few tanks of gas from home.
Hey, Eric!! Have you considered using a 12" tablet for your tv? If you stream your tv over that nomad internet, they are perfect!! You can buy stands that can hold it for you anywhere. I have one and love it.
Wow Eric, rain really does follow you around. Maybe we can start calling you Rain Man then you can go to the states that have droughts and sell your presence as a service. 😁
Hi Eric and Vanna! Great van tour! Looking forward to the projects! Beautiful campground and time lapse! Parts? 🤪 When? 🙄🤬😬 We're playing the waiting game too! 😩
You might want to check out the Webasto heaters. They make both diesel and gasoline models. The gasoline model could be connected directly to your fuel tank. They take up a LOT less space than your current furnace, run on 12 volts, and use a lot less electricity, as well as they're quiet and very reliable.
That Coachman looks to be in pretty good shape. With your long experience with these vehicles, it'll be interesting to see what Nomadic upgrades you do.
I can't wait to see what the cats think of all this. I'm not buying that hormel dinner was delicious. Edible maybe. LOL Have I mentioned that I love you van? May need a tarp in the tub if you decide to put the litter box there. I think that's the best plan.
Maybe see if you can get a bracket that mounts to the ceiling and that way you can pull it down and maybe even the bracket and turns so you could turn the TV
I was just gonna say. The old style heater were not good for large space and lack any kind of forced air but for the van it would be the right size. But you know how Eric likes his humidity being from the NorthWest and all.
Hey 👋 Eric' ... Like you're van and the way it's set up. But you know that you can put some form of covering over the throne that would be nice enoth' to make it look like a short ottoman or just a big over hanging pillow . If / when you are stationarly parked or just don't want the obvious constantly blaring at you and the camera. But ' you got a nice set up for you're self. And it could work for a not too big couple :)) !
The litterbox idea is good unless you move it to the toilet and a cat gets in it and dumps it on the floor :) Maybe still remove that little shelf and move the box to that area. Nice van.
Good decision on the van. We are stuck with our Ms. Tiffer, Class A Diesel, because we can’t get a $400 part. Would love to move from our current location.
Our refrigerator has the same problem. On gas it just doesn’t keep temperature like it does when it’s plugged in. There’s a fan set that you can buy on eBay that adds airflow to the backside of the refrigerator, we bought the kit but I just haven’t got around to putting it in yet.
A new cooling unit should fix the low performance on gas for your fridge. I had to do the same thing on my 1993 Class C last year. Boy what a difference that made.
Since you will keep the passengers seat swiveled back can you put the kitty litter in front if it where your feet would go if you were faced forward ? Ps I recommend spot shot for the dirt spots on the ceiling (do a test spot first!) Stuff cleans so good it will make everything else look dirty 🤣
Eric, check out Jasper Engines for a fully rebuilt engine. They have been around a long time. Might be better and less expensive than waiting on parts and rebuilding Miranda.
If anybody can figure out how to set up a Van for full-time travel it is you Eric!!!
Don't apologize for your house! It's great that you have a spot to land for awhile; a house is the best spot for repairs, storing things you don't want to take on a trip! Your house was a good decision!
@@Couplescience Right! I'm sure you are right! I'm not an RV'er but I love seeing others on the road. Each one has to do what's best for them.

We just finished our van build a few weeks ago. It was so hard to get parts. Just completed the first road trip out west. It was so great.
I love you Eric , thank you for walking through all of your projects, it is helpful to us novice nomads. Love to Tara and jaxs
On those instant dinners, you have to watch the sodium count, it's usually off the charts. However, they they're nice to have as a back up.

You should get a tv mount that can swivel and contort in different directions. They have the capability to hold 42 inches easy
You could put a small tv where that fold down table/counter is. Or maybe an external monitor (and get a wireless keyboard & mouse?). Also, you *could* toilet-train Jax & Tara. No more litter mess or expense. No space taken up by the box.
Swig out arm for the TV. It can be flat on the or swig out when in the seat.
I always swig out when im in a seat too brotendo!

It's nice to see how happy and excited you are about camping in the van.
The opening! What a big change! Whatever you're doing keep on doing it! Good luck Eric! Going to keep watching, you've bump up the game!
I like the spot to the left for the litter. Just throw down some Velcro tape to keep it in place while driving. Congrats!!!!!
That's a nice campervan, I'm excited to see your future adventures in it!

Nice reboot of the graphics and video style to go along with the new vehicle and lifestyle. Should be very fun new year.
Fantastic. Smaller space + more cats = double the chance for more pink eye.

Haha I did too I said I wouldnt leave a heavy duty cord out, or some desperate person would steal it to scrap hah
Maybe just install a few of those swivel tablet mounts. Then you could watch tv in multiple places depending what you were doing

GOOD MORNING BEAST Nomadic Fanatic ERIC JAX UA-cam VIDEO 🐈🐈

MRE... The one meal that might always be your last! My last one was failrly rough; vegetarian lasagna! AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHA
Those Compleats meals aren't bad for a convenient bite. Some actually have a decent amount of meat, too.
Should have a easy time getting to places you want to see in city in the van. Once you get both the van and the class A, fixed up you will have a lot of good options for travel.
really like the new intro
I think it will broaden your adventures, you can even stealth in the van, it's just easier to hide than a full sized rv. Kitties will be fine.
The tub seems like a good out of the way place for the cat box..easy to move and out of sight. Have fun figuring everything out. I'm happy for you.
Consider, platform over the tub, cat litter box on top? Or just in the tub if it fits, if the litter dust won't clog the tub drain.
Sure do love this van! Turquoise is my favorite! Enjoy!
I seem to remember someone moving out of a class c into a tricked out cargo van. Only to get another class c because there wasn't enough room for him and his kitty. Wow Eric, rain really does follow you around. Maybe we can start calling you Rain Man then you can go to the states that have droughts and sell your presence as a service. 😁
Glad you’re keeping the passenger seat it will make a world of difference in your comfort level. Kitties will just have to 💩 elsewhere. 😂
The TV should be mounted to the ceiling and folds down. You could go with a bigger TV that way.
I think this might be my next RV once the kids are gone and it's just the wife and I. Possibly a wide body version. Looking good Eric.
Looking forward to see your updates and upgrades
In hot weather your fridge will have a hard time cooling with those vents. I put computer fans blowing out in the top vent. Helps a lot.
The kitty cat walk/ramp would be epic!
Cool van Bub !!!!! cheers
And yet another transition. Wahoo !! Life at full speed.
Happy Trails
Hi Eric and Vanna! Great van tour! Looking forward to the projects! Beautiful campground and time lapse! Parts? 🤪 When? 🙄🤬😬 We're playing the waiting game too! 😩

Love love the kitties voices in the beginning!
Maybe see if you can get a bracket that mounts to the ceiling and that way you can pull it down and maybe even the bracket and turns so you could turn the TV
I lol'd at the look of the meal. Positive attitude ... "it's not all about the looks" 😂
Good to see that big smile! Have fun!
Eric... I’m excited for ya! Looking forward to seeing your new video adventures with your camper van!
Blessings to ya!
I'm glad to see you back in the van and that is a really cool van.
It looks like the headlight need to be buffed out. My Ford's headlights need it too. Cool Van.
That original furnace vents to the outdoors which is ideal. Heaters like the Wave generate water vapor in your camper.
I was just gonna say. The old style heater were not good for large space and lack any kind of forced air but for the van it would be the right size. But you know how Eric likes his humidity being from the NorthWest and all.

You decided to reveal Vanna early-I feel like I’ve been “keeping a secret” for so long! Love the curtain addition. Very smart, and quite nice.
And here comes the build videos! haha.
Yes you have been keeping a secret and I have to say not too many people can nowadays anyways.
Put steps up to the overhead bed, and put the litter box for the cats up there. It's out of the way and they can get to it easy... love the videos.
Good luck purchasing a wave 3! They are currently over priced at over $319! Last year they went for $150
The litterbox idea is good unless you move it to the toilet and a cat gets in it and dumps it on the floor :) Maybe still remove that little shelf and move the box to that area. Nice van.
You’ve gone back to your roots in the van and you can totally tell that you dig it! I say sell Miranda! Hahah
The Chris Farley joke KILLED ME 😂 thank you sir
That sounds like a cool idea. When you are at base camp, you sleep in the class A. The house is a DIY Disney museum and video arcade.
Who buys a home and NEVER sleeps in it?
Are you sure that's enough room for two cats for a whole year 🤔?
What campground is that it's so beautiful you didn't share the coordinates with us?
Good decision on the van. We are stuck with our Ms. Tiffer, Class A Diesel, because we can’t get a $400 part. Would love to move from our current location.
Our refrigerator has the same problem. On gas it just doesn’t keep temperature like it does when it’s plugged in. There’s a fan set that you can buy on eBay that adds airflow to the backside of the refrigerator, we bought the kit but I just haven’t got around to putting it in yet.
Don’t worry about the calories in the microwave dinners. It’s the sodium that will get ya. Love the van.
Put the tv on the ceiling so you can watch it laying down. lol
If you can use a flip down mount and still not smack your noggin , that's a pretty good idea although it might block the air from the AC
Love the van vids you haven’t looked this excited in a long long time.
Another idea is to get a small projector screen. You could set that up easy.
I am leaving this comment to help your algorythim. I am anxious to see your upgrade on your latest vehicle.
