    Shoutout to Modular Recordings. It’s too bad they aren’t around anymore. They really opened my eyes to different styles of music as I was in high school. Cut copy, Wolfmother, Tame Impala, Chromeo, the rapture, Pond, Azari & III, the presets. They had a real eye for good music.

    I find it crazy how nervous he was to tell other people that Tame was merely him. Why would you hide behind that?

      because you feel bad because you make other members look bad
      if they "just playing" it

      Louis Addeo-Weiss He was mostly just averse to the attention that would be put on him as a 'solo' artist. He found doing the press stuff very uncomfortable, and just found it easier to be interviewed as a member of a band. He's gotten more confident as time's gone by, which you can see in the live shows as well. 'Currents' was also the first record of his that nobody else helped him make, so it makes sense that he finally owned up to it around then.

    For everyone who dislikes the second half of Kevin's discography, you need to go out and live life. Because every album after InnerSpeaker soundtrack feelings and stages of life. Lonerism-being alone, Currents-falling in love and heartbreak, and The Slow Rush-being nostalgic and thinking about the future. Personally I think The Slow Rush had a much greater of an impact during the quarantine. So my only advice(because I can't change your opinion) re-listen to The Slow Rush, read the lyrics, and just vibe to it. Peace to everyone
    P.S I was introduced via Currents and listened to the rest and loved it. I grew up with pop on the radio, and rock from my dad so to people who think I only enjoy his later stuff, no.

    • @VHSRADIO
      @VHSRADIO  3 роки тому +7

      I mean like I kinda agree with you about the albums but people can still have opinions. That what makes music fun tho cause when someone's tastes matches yours then you can relate and make new friends.

      I was introduced by The Slow Rush actually, just when i moved on my own from my parents. I fell in love with that album, but also Lonerism soon after that. Usually people say they like either Currents or Innerspeaker the best, and while i like all the albums, i'm happy to say i have the exact other two as my favorites.

      I was introduced via Let It Happen, one of the best songs ever, but honestly Currents disappointed me, and The Slow Rush didn't particularly excite me. Innerspeaker and Lonerism though? They had me hooked the entire ways through, first listen on.

    I really liked Slow Rush and would say it’s a tad better than InnerSpeaker, but with his next album I hope the music has more of an intense energy/aura to it like so many songs on Lonerism had (Elephant, Feels Like We Only Go Backwards, Why Won’t They Talk To Me, etc.). My interest is ALWAYS peaked when Kevin releases material. He’s one of the best going today.
