ME TOO!!!!! i REALLY wish she would show us the "after" (once it has dried) for ALL her pieces, at the end of the video!!!!!!!! I can't stand not knowing what it looks like after watching the whole "how to" video!!!! Its kinda like, what's the point, ya know?
Yes, I agree with Angela. I’d love to see this lovely pot with plants. I have used glass vases but I must try terracotta pots too. Thanks for sharing . Cheers Marie ‘downunder ‘
That's awesome! It kind of looks like cabbage leaves. I really want to try. Also in your second painting in the lower right corner, I see a fire breathing Dragon and a baby animal embryo above it. So cool!!
I'd just like to tell you that I admire you a lot as an artist, you really inspire me and I think that these videos you make are amazing, I've rarely come across such nice artist willing to share their techniques and knowledge with the world. Thank you a lot for that.
I too was a bit disappointed at the outcome of the pearl colors but this is why we experiment! Not everything works as we hope it will but still so much fun... I have even gotten my husband addicted to watching your videos and painting with me!!! If I ever get a chance to visit my relatives in Holland one day, I hope you and I can have coffee together😊
Your mike is working. I can hear everything your saying. I also, like what you did with the terra cotta pot. I am going to do one today. Thank you for all your displays.
I shop the second hand stores a lot and very often see wooden plates and bowls. Not super nice, but useable. I am going to try something like this on the wood, after I gesso them. Love you bowl.
Very pretty. I'm going to try this. I just did my first 2 canvases and I'm so pleased. No one here in my town is showing art like this. And I should know because I go to local art museums all the time. So cool!!
super cooooool!!!!!!!! i make one today. but for my firsts times i dont Buy professional ingredient. i try with glue water And The famous 3 in 1 oil. It makes The same Little cells of here. It was a Little canvas so It is Pretty 😊😊 . (sorry for my English i'm italian)
I'm not surprised with the outcome of the pearl colores. I bet they look better when you mix directly into the respective paint color. Greetings from Bremen
Set your planter, upside down, on a coffee can or something so the bottom of your pot is not touching the table and just pour around your pot letting your colors run. That way you won't have to hold the heavy pot and pour at the same time.
Wow! This is beautiful! I always get worried about how the colours will work together and have stayed away from greens so far - you've inspired me to give greens a chance!!! Gorgeous work and a fab idea!
Hi Annemarie. The bookbinding glue one you showed is lovely. I fell in love. Can't wait to see how the pots turn out. If you can show them with the purple and lilac flowers. I'm going to try this next spring! Love that you share!
When you pull the tape off do you do it when the paint is still a bit wet or wait until it's completely dry? Just scared I'm going to pull paint off with the tape in places I don't want to too? Thank you for such wonderful videos. 💕💕💕 and a big hello from Australia 🇦🇺
That pot/bowl is to be beautiful! I have something similar but is pottery with a glaze. I'd LOVE to try this, but have a lot if questions Where do you get silicone and why do you use it? where do you get a little torch? and why do you torch?I wouldn't blame you for not taking the time to answer me, maybe just point me in the direction of another video that explain these questions? Thanks!
I"d love to know how well this paint holds up on this kind of surface. I know when you water plants there is a little bit of moisture wicking that happens with terracotta, does that cause the paint to peel or flake?
this is beautiful, & the first i've seen using terra cotta. looking forward to seeing more of your videos. if you have room on the other side of your table, maybe you could move your camera there, then we could see the process better. love your color choices too!! keep up the beautiful work
LOL Silly..... you have a turn table! Next one of these try putting it on a board on your turn table and save your wrist and fingers! ;-) I love watching you.... you remind me a lot of me and my friends like me. hahaha Adhd and what I call 'Ooo...shiny' moments. :-) And I do want to THANK you because from watching your videos I've started doing my artworks again.... I look forward to your videos. They are encouraging others to do same I'm sure of it. Thanks again for sharing your work with us!
Morning. I've got lots of black grass, it would look really nice as part of your planting, pity you don't live nearby I could give you some. Love these colours! I have to find a pot like that & give it a try. Not too keen on the pearlised last pour colours, bit dissappointing, bit of a non event.I was researching the Floetrol, costs a fortune over here, anything from £15 - £70! It' s a refined silicone product, so maybe I' ll wait a bit. Another video notification just arrived, yea! I'll never get the garden sorted, maybe later!! 😆Mx p.s. sound is no different for me.....🤐
Does it get better...it`s so depressing...it totally sucked the energy right out of me....yuk! But I have to add that I really get drawn into a movie or serie.... Thank you for watching ........♥♥♥
Oh, wow! I really, really like this on the clay pot! As to the sound issue that keeps popping up, I have solved it, at least on my computer. I am using a desktop Dell Inspiron AIO computer and find the low sound problem coming mostly now from your older videos. Sound was up as far as it could go on youtube and on computer volume slider adjustment and sound would just be very low. So, here is what I found - by right clicking on the "speaker" icon/symbol (mine is lower right), then click on the "Volume Mixer" option. Then on my pop-up window I have three options: Speaker/Headphones, System Sounds and Mozilla Firefox (my browser). The setting for Mozilla Firefox was down way low and as soon as I adjusted the volume up the sound on your videos was fixed! Now it is so loud I actually have to lower the youtube volume adjustment. So, while this worked of me it may not be a fix for everyone and I have no idea why my volume was set so low. But worth a try! Hope this helps.Thanks.
Well that is super...glad you sorted it out ...I know it`s not on my end because I Always test on a tablet and on a desktop and both are too loud to put the sound up to the max....I know that some of my first videos I mumbled a bit and that wasn`t good but the videos I do now all have good audio.....again Thank you!
I wonder if you could have set it on your banding wheel to support it and turn it as you pour so you didn't have to keep lifting it. I would love to see the pearl colors done on a black background.
I was wondering if this method could be used on a non-flat surface, and you've shown it CAN BE DONE! YAY! My daughter and I have ideas for projects, and they aren't flat, but would look amazing with the paint pour method ;) ;) BTW the bowl looks amazing ;)
Doesn't the first torching get rid of the air bubbles, eliminating the pin Holes? I like the pot, very pretty and unique. Thankyou for all of the videos you do
Did you seal the pot with anything before you painted? And after? This one looks a little like lettuce leaves, a little like seaweed, and a who lot like beautiful! Love you back from the Ozarks!
I know this is an old video. Terracotta is so porous that they can be used to water plants under ground . They're called ollas. So, did the acrylic pour last? I wonder if it eventually peeled off, especially if a plant was watered from the interior.
It stayed on an full of color for 2.5 years then it started to go dull an pull away from the terracotta but it went through many seasons, ice, freezing, a lot of rain and sunshine.
that's a gorgeous pour on the Terra cotta bowl!! I love how you'll be able to see bits of the pot coming through! I have a question and I apologize if it's been asked before... so, I have a bunch of these tiny tiny Terra cotta pots because I was going to cut up my jade plant as it's gotten much to big for my lil place, so I thought I'd start new babies of it and give as gifts and I'd love to try your pouring method on them for some added fun and personalized color schemes maybe...my question is, do I need to seal the whole thing inside and out once dry? I've just plain painted some long ago but didn't seal the inside and as it got wet some paint tried to peel of...but I could've just totally done mine completely wrong! so any ideas or help would be awesome, as I'd really rather not lose and of these pretty pours if possible :) thanks again for sharing and helping us all SO much!! you're a joy to learn from :) oh and the sound was great :) I didn't seem to have trouble with it before either...but it still sounded great this morning :) hope you got your morning coffee...I'm getting my hot tea ready ;) have a great day!! :)
another question, since my pots are so tiny I wondered about getting all the paints into the cup like for any dirty pour, give a slight stir, but then instead of pouring over them, I might dip them into the cup...think it would work? I may have to try a couple later n see. thanks for all the inspiration as always! xoxo
Some viewers have warned for the peeling...I guess a couple of sprays on the inside with waterproof acrylic spray won`t hurt. Thanks for watching....♥♥♥
thanks for the encouragement :) I'll give it a go and we'll just see :) hope you have an awesome weekend! can't wait to see what beauty you produce next :) thanks again!
@@annemarieridderhof I have been playing around with pouring on all kinds of things for almost a yr now. I was doing pours over Dominoes and after it dried and I put sealer on one it did peel. Even paint pens wore off. So I was thinking of what I could use on the dominoes and I tried Gesso. I brushed the domino with the gesso, let it dry and took a simple hand held sanding sponge like shaped that had different grit on each side and on the end. I was playing around one and I sanded it till it felt smooth to me and put a couple coats of black paint. I WAS AMAZED how well it work. I did one that I did a few coats of Gesso on a domino, I didn't sand this one after I put on Gesso. I wanted to use my Liquitex paints on it. Without light grit sanding I took the black paint and coated the domino with 2 coats. Liquitex most of us know is a heavier body Paint. So knowing that I wanted to coat it without it drying to fast and look off. So I dipped my wide flat brush in a jar of water. Dip it to cover just about half brush, brush off excess water and dip the brush in paint. The water on brush doesn't effect the geeso. The paint will apply alot easier and go further. After the coats of paint dried, and I actually left it to dry over night. Haha I wanted to see if I could sand the domino after painted with a heavier body paint and not wear out in spots on project from sanding. I used the light grit side that is very fine. I was amazed how it came out. It soothed out sooo sooo smooth and is now turning into a great little canvas I am painting a Pumpkin and Moon on it. All the ones I used Geeso on have held the paint much better and didn't peel! I have also been collecting bottles, vases, frames and other items to pour on and I think Gesso might be a good Idea on glass, and the terra Cotta pots. I'm thinking spray 1st with a clear waterproof sealer. Then apply gesson, I would sand it to make it smooth before you pour. You don't have too. There is enough paint with pours that you could lightly sand till smooth and not get bald spots. Pour, seal and varnish with about 3 coats. Will be shiny and smooth and it should not peel. I love using Gesso on my Rock Art. Just cover rock, sand/or not and pour over rocks. Since the gesso acts like teeth to grab and hold Paint, I think anyone who pours on rocks could actually light grit sandpaper after the poured rocks has tried for about a week maybe less. Depending how thick you pouring paint is. I do dirty pours over them and use a paint spatula to easily scoop up over flow and slowly lay it over any parts The pour missed. Not one will look the same either. Then after drying spray a few coats of a good clear sealent. I will varnish even after that to make them shine shine shine. I love watching and seeing the creations you come up with. Thank you for sharing and sorry so long...
Beautiful, looked like cabbage leaves :) Did you upload a finished version without the tape...Also, did you cut the tape off or just pull it off, I'm imagining if it gets pulled off it would pull away some paint with it?
Patricia Sue Hi, I bought my 100% silicone oil from Amazon. I will look to find the brand for you. It's for treadmills. I looked in various shops in the uk but a lot had Silicone free written in the small print.
I did a plastic planter in GREENS an have my AIR FERNS IN IT. I'M HAPPY WITH IT. DON'T HAVE THAT OTHER STUFF YOU MIXED INTO THE PAINTS BEFORE YOU POURED IT. DOES IT MATTER.
Hi Annemarie, I'd like to see the pots after you have them all potted up with plants. Anyone else with me?
yep...I can do that.......Thank you for watching ........♥♥♥

angela jackson yes me too with plants in them
Yes, please show finished item.
I know I'm quite randomly asking but do anybody know of a good place to watch newly released series online ?
Yes, I agree with Angela. I’d love to see this lovely pot with plants. I have used glass vases but I must try terracotta pots too. Thanks for sharing . Cheers Marie ‘downunder ‘

i really love that pot.

Love the bowl.. Heading outside to try it now. BTW that 13 Reasons Why series was filmed in my neighborhood!
Does it get better...it`s so depressing...it totally sucked the energy right out of me....yuk! But I have to add that I really get drawn into a movie or serie....

I would like to see you make a dark background and then the pearl colors on top, no other colors, just the pearl. It might look like resin.

Did you seal the pot with anything before you painted? And after? This one looks a little like lettuce leaves, a little like seaweed, and a who lot like beautiful! Love you back from the Ozarks!
only after with UV spray varnish....don`t seal it before you pour.

Thank you for the tip but this video is 600 videos ago...I have a different set up .
♥♥♥ Thank you so much ♥♥♥
My German is not that good I understand it and I can read it but that`s it.
♥ Thank you ♥

If you use Sargents Medium Gloss with Varnush do you still have to seal it?
yes..sealing is important.
♥♥♥ Thank ♥ You ♥♥♥

I varnish before I sell a piece.

Hi Annemarie, did you have to glaze the inside of the pot to keep water from coming through which may affect the acrylic? Love the color combo 😍😍
Yes I sprayed the inside and outside with acrylic lacquer that`s waterproof after it dries.
Thank you for watching....♥♥♥
Sandi Standke a
Microphone is fine
Next time use a lazy susan to turn your pot (set the pot on something that's a wee bit taller than your pot...saw that in another video).
♥♥♥ Thank you and thank you for watching♥♥♥
Relax it,s perfect😀
♥♥♥
Beautiful, looked like cabbage leaves :) Did you upload a finished version without the tape...Also, did you cut the tape off or just pull it off, I'm imagining if it gets pulled off it would pull away some paint with it?
it doesn`t pull off the paint.
♥ Thank you ♥
♥Thank you for watching ♥
Lazy Susan would work well for this project.
yes you can use that.
♥♥♥ Thank ♥ You ♥♥♥

Hi, I’m new to your channel. Do you mix all of your paints with the pouring medium? What brand and ratio?
Thanks so much
It is lovely 🌸
Hard to hear you, really cool pot, where does one get silicone? I keep asking and nobody answers
Patricia Sue go to a hardware store. You will find some in a spraycan.
google is so much easier than waiting for an answer....
I found mine at Home Depot in the Tools section, way up on a top shelf... it is the 3-in-One brand silicone oil. I would ask.
Thanks
Patricia Sue Hi, I bought my 100% silicone oil from Amazon. I will look to find the brand for you. It's for treadmills. I looked in various shops in the uk but a lot had Silicone free written in the small print.
Audio sounds great :)
thank you...♥
Allo! Anne Marie, I was wondering if the acrylic stays on the terra Cotta vase if you put it outside ( raine or shine) ?
it has been outside almost a year now...it`s still on it....but I did use a spray varnish.
Im doing this kind of technique to sell some of my pots
It stays on for about 1 and a half year...then it sort of fades and lets loose...but I had mine in the rain sun snow.
♥♥♥
I have a Glass Bowl the same shape can ai do this on that?

♥♥♥ Thank ♥ You ♥♥♥
♥Thank you for watching ♥

♥Thank you for watching ♥
Did you plant in it and if you did, did the paint peel?
no the paint didn`t peel...I had plants in it for a while.
Why didn’t you cover the bottom edge of the pot, it doesn’t look finished to me ?
Because I like it that way and I wasn`t trying to please you ♥♥♥
good idea.
Thank you for watching....♥♥♥
The sound is very low. I can hear you but not very well. thanks for all you do.
it`s your own device....everyone comments that the audio is fine....you can adjust in 2 places.
Likin that☕️

microphone sounds great!
Thank you ♥
Muito LINDOOOOOO...... ABRAÇOS
♥♥♥ Thank you and thank you for watching♥♥♥
will the paint peel ?
terracotta soaks the paint up...it won`t peel
Het geluid lijkt wel degelijk wat duidelijker, helder...👍😊
gelukkig!
I did a plastic planter in GREENS an have my AIR FERNS IN IT.
I'M HAPPY WITH IT. DON'T HAVE THAT OTHER STUFF YOU MIXED INTO THE PAINTS BEFORE YOU POURED IT. DOES IT MATTER.
I use mediums in the paint so it will look good over many mant years.
♥♥♥ Thank you and thank you for watching♥♥♥
