This piece is so pretty! Love your relaxed approach and all of your process. For anyone who can't get rounds cut for them, I have found nice precut round pieces with smoothed edges at Home Depot. I use them for encaustic and they'd be great for this too.
I am really hooked on this process of painting because I have usually gotten very little from modern art and finally nature is creating it's own magic by the manipulation of chemicals. Every one that I have seen is unique and beautiful for decoration with the technique of the painter but the universe in control of it's beauty.
This reminds me of the little pictures I did with my daughter's spin-art machine. I used slightly thicker paint than what came with the machine and did dirty pours (although at the time I didn't know the term), and came up with some really beautiful tiny paintings. :)
Then all I can say is......you are a kick ass mom....mothers who do artsy stuff with their children are the best mothers ever!!! My mother was like that, I lost her at the age of 12 but I still remember the art things we did together! Thank you for watching!!
What a beautiful piece of art! I am a Pisces and love all things water. This made me think of not only the ocean, but a mysterious planet of water yet to be discovered. I love watching your videos. I promise myself I'm only going to look at 1 or 2 and 3 hours later I'm still looking at them. It's just mesmerizing to watch the paint change.
wow! what a great idea, spinning the piece......the lacing, cells and colors. you couldn't have asked for it turn out better.....This one is quite beautiful...love it
Hello from Cape Town, South Africa, Annemarie. I came across your UA-cam videos today and I am hooked and inspired! I absolutely loved watching them.... Your art is amazing!!.. Wow!. I will attempt it at some stage. Thank you for showing us how and for sharing your art and talent with us and for the inspiration! 🎨💥💦
WOW!!!!!!!!!! I am blown away by how beautiful this is! In glass art, it's a similar look to a 'pot melt' but this takes a FRACTION of the time and looks even more incredible!
I swim with sea turtles in the carribean and it reminds me of both. Beautiful! would love to see how you seal it also with the epoxy? or spray acrylic fix?
We used to do this at our school carnivals for grade school (grades 1,thru 6 ) in the 1960's. (North Seattle WA) They had a deep box, with a round spinning device..and you'd put a white thick cardboard in center..they'd turn it on so it would spin..all we did was: kids were allowed to add paint as it spins and paint would spread. Then they added a frame for it and we went home as artists!! Period! It was fun and I felt like a REAL artist like you!! 53 years later I'd come across your u-tube video and you brought back wonderful memories!! Thank you!! By the way, your artwork is fantastic. Much more involved of course..but fantastic!
We all knew what you meant but it sure did make us laugh. I always feared I would have this happen to me. Spell check and auto correct is not always such a good thing. lolololololool
A very beautiful work, and yes those cells make your work so different, that's why before I didn't like the pouring technique, this painting looks like planet earth from above. Simply beautiful. Thanks Annemarie.
Silicone creates the cells....the torch warms the silicone and pulls it to the surface ...watch the basic videos I made...look at the playlists....Thank you...and Thank you for watching....♥♥♥
Good Afternoon AnneMarie. Love your work and videos!!! I am usually not a fan of videos that include speaking. However you keep your verbal communication to the point and about the creation. Your videos keep my attention. Nice. In an earlier video you mentioned a male flow artists name. Sorry but i could not catch that on the video. To whom were you referring? Also i just love to see you creating art in your bathrobe and the rifle sitting behind you was priceless. I am an artist in a number of fields and have been applying flow techniques to the creating of Art Soap. Of course soap works a bit differently than paint, so i modify the techniques to fit the disposition of soap. Where are you from? I have heard you speak of Euro's so that means somewhere in Europe? I live in rural upstate New York, USA. So my dear you are a very talented artist who creates beautiful work. I like your work very much. Blessings.
vicki frost I was talking about Arthur Brouthers, check him outhe is the master of acrylic pouring. i am from the netherlands, love travelling and have been to the states 9 times ! Thank you very much for all the compliments. .
A brilliant experiment Annemarie. A really good pour with fantastic results, I love it that the colours came out so bright and crisp. Thank you so much for sharing with us all!
I was just sharing. My attention span isn't too great so if I sit too long without having something to actually look at I lose interest and go onto the next thing.
@@annemarieridderhof Some of the most important information about the pour is given during the first half of the video. If you skip that part you are skipping a vital part of the process. As an artist who has learned a lot from these videos I would argue that the part before the pour is more important than the actual pour. Thanks for the tip on the tall thin jar.
What a pleasure to watch your creation emerging! I'm new new new to this technique and am so happy watching your videos, especially where you're trying something new for yourself. That's a lovely risk to take on camera and I'm deeply grateful. Thank you!
Thanks so much for all these videos! I watched a few this morning. I was so inspired I ran out to buy a torch. Thank you for sharing your time and talent.
GREAT WORK. I love your thought process and planning. It is clear you don't let the emotion run away with you. You can tell there is a CONTROLLED and academic approach in what I call a 90/10 process, i.e., 90% plan, 10% glorious and sucessful execution. I myself apply currently advocate and practice this approach to my painting. it is a recipe for success. Thank you for generosity in sharing your creative use of acrylic pouring. I am about to start using these new materials and feel I have learned a lot from you.
WOW!....I never heard of acrylic pouring prior to today... what a gorgeous art form! Have watched a view vids but love your approach... and the outcome of your work is FABULOUS! Those are my favorite colors. I've been painting my living room walls in an ocean mural and it's all about those same colors. I really want to try this out. Thank you so much for being such an inspiration!
Love this!!! I haven't tried to pour yet.. Glad I found your channel you are an amazing instructor and I love your accent, As an Artist of hair as well as other mediums I love the "science/art" combo I am seeing with different pouring methods and creations! Thanks so much

I absolutely love your videos. This is all new to me. I'm soaking it up. I'm a potter. I do have a suggestion. When using the turning wheel, make sure your board is centered and you'll get even coverage. I hope you don't mind the suggestion.
