My 9th great grandfather was one of the founders, Edmund Freeman. Its really cool to know that there is such a rich history of my family up in New England, as well as there being almost a whole cemetery of Freemans. ( Orleans cemetery)
I"m direct decesendant of Edmund Freeman. One of the ten men from Saugus. my 8th grt grandfather. as well as Dr Nathaniel Freeman , Brig Gen of Mass militia. is my 4th grt grand father
My 10th or 11th grt grandfather was Thomas tupper. My family are descendants from him and his 3rd wife. Last year, I finally got a chance to visit Sandwich. Went to the Nye museum, and the woman I was speaking to turned out to be a Nye, and we were like 10th cousins. It was just a great trip and a beautiful area.
My 12th Great Grandfather, Thomas Tobey immigrated to Sandwich from Wales. One of the earlier families. I'm hoping to travel to the area October of 2021.
Edmund Freeman is my 10th GGrandfather. He arrived on the Abigail in 1635. Not long after when he founded the town of Sandwich with the other 9, Richard Chadwell, Edward Dillingham, Henry Feake, William Almy, Thomas Tupper, William Wood, John Carman, George Knott, and Thomas Dexter. I'd like to visit the area one day.
Agree. I’ve only been there this once and unfortunately it was late in the day after a terrible rain storm. So I didn’t see all I wanted to see. Time to do this trip again. Thanks for the comments.

I hope you do visit Cape COD, it is such a historic area. Well worth a visit.
Mine too!
Hey hey, I am another descendent of Edmund. I am looking into it from Ohio.
Sandwich is the most picturesque town on the Cape with beautiful homes, gardens and beaches and great restaurants and shops.
