-- So yes, you’re correct. They made a billion this quarter….. But last year they made 2.5 billion.
Let me ask you…. If you made 1000$ in pay from your job this January. But last January you made 2,500$ Would you consider that a serious problem ?
To be fair - I do think Tesla is in trouble.. But I do hope they pull out of it and stay in business. Some people do like the EV experience and Teslas in particular. I think their EV technology is pretty good as far as EVs go. However, the self driving technology is way overhyped IMO.

The reality is it's a very small section of the economy that can afford and actually wants to buy a Tesla. And once you've run through that group with a couple models you've already mined what there is to mine. Replacement sales don't get you the kind of growth as when you're initially penetrating your target market. That's why Netflix isn't growing very much in subscribers. China choose Teslas as a luxury item and if you do some research you'll see as luxury sales down in China right now
The average price for a new car in the US is at 47.000 right now. For that money, you get a fully loaded model Y LR with ~450 horsepower/all wheel drive + you get 7500 $ back from the government, you only have to spend 40.000 $ + taxes. What other gasoline car with 450 HP fully loaded meets this price, 40k$ ? Please tell me.

What does that have to do with the current problem we’re talking about? Teslas profits are way down and their EV rival, BYD, is selling like crazy. This is a big problem.

Again, my question: Which purely electric vehicle company is making a profit right now? Stop doing click bait videos, nobody will watch them. Do some PROPER research, understand what tesla is investing in nvidias H100 / dojo / FSD / charging network etc. right now, and do a video than. Otherwise you are just wasting everybodys time.
@@christophw.717 So they are going back and forth for the title of worlds largest EV selling brand. They used to be the undisputed champion… Now they’re getting knocked down sometimes ? And that’s not a problem for you ? The thing is BYD also sells hybrids and plug in hybrids. Tesla doesn’t. That makes Tesla weaker in comparison. BYD and other Chinese brands have the backing of the Chinese government. Who are KNOWN to manipulate markets for their own interest. And you don’t see this a threat to Tesla ?!?
If Elon didn’t think there was a problem he wouldn’t have laid off 10% of his workforce. So if Elon recognized there are big problems going forward… Why can’t you ?
Robo Taxis wont be seen in our lifetimes. FSD is decades off.
Interesting- I’m starting to feel like maybe FSD shouldn’t even be in regular cars. It becomes a legal nightmare if there’s an accident.
Once it’s ready Maybe FSD should be only for commercial vehicles (taxis, small buses etc) in cities… Maybe they should have their own streets to drive on 🤷♂️
