The tour date spacing is deliberate to allow for additional shows in Melbourne, Sydney and Auckland based on ticket sales. They do this every tour down here.
They announced the Australian tour at the perfect time. I have friends in Australia that i was planning to visit next september, so now we're gonna see Maiden on the 12 in Sydney. I already saw them for this tour in Frankfurt, but i will see them as often as i can. I don't know if they'll change the setlist, but if they do, im hoping for The Loneliness of the Long Distance Runner. Just a few weeks before the Future Past tour, Steve said in an interview that he would love to play this song and that it should be played.
8:55 its also worth noting that he was actually playing the deja vu riff in that video. Reeeaaalllyyy hope they go somewhere somewhat close to the UK on this next leg, gonns have to convince my parents to let me go on a couple little trips
Given that Senjutsu was recorded in 2019, it’s not hard to think they’ll be writing on the road and possibly take a few weeks off to record new material. And hopefully they will release a video/CD of the Future Past Tour, seeing how Steve (and the fans) wished they had done that for the 86/87 tour.
This is very awesome news for me personally. As they have not yet come to the USA on The FP tour. And if this puts them coming close to my part of the county later in 24. That's great, because it will give my grandson, who is a HUGE Maiden fan since he was 3. The chance to get in another year of life so he will enjoy and remember this great opportunity to see the greatest metal band in the world. Oh yeah, and his hero, Eddie. 🤘🇺🇦
If they debut Deja vu, then Somewhere in Time will be the only 80s album with Bruce that they have performed every song from. Maybe not in quantity, but all the songs will have had at least 1 live play. (Long distance runner only played once.) Beast, never played invaders or gangland Piece of mind, never played quest for fire or sun and steel Powerslave, no flash of the blade, duelists or back in the village. 7th son, no prophecy or only the good die young.
They have a lot of deep cuts from those albums and even some good ones from Prayer and Fear... We can keep doing this till they are 80 years old lol... The Iron Matrons by that point.
maybe he hasnt he got a solo album and tour to do as well maybe bruce doesnt have much time when your in iron maiden 9 10 11 months of the year it takes a lot doing and organising
Awesome that you picked up when the teaser for the continuation of the tour when it was about Deja Vu that we need a live debut of it because Colin Played Deja Vu in the video and the whole video was about Deja Vu, lets hope and see if they play it please
8:55 it's also interesting to note, that during the Glasgow show in June (from what I've seen he hasn't mentioned it during any of the other shows), Bruce talked to the crowd briefly between Days of Future Past and The Time Machine, and said this: "We had no idea when we wrote it (Days of Future Past) that we'd be doing a tour called The Future Past Tour. Spooky! As if it was predestined.. like Deja Vu! (audience laughs) ..Nah we're not gonna do that one because I'd be lost for words..." and then he continued on introducing The Time Machine. The only recording I found of that bit is this one /watch?v=kn1F1--q83E --> starts at 1:06 So he kinda teased Deja Vu! It's interesting, why would he mention it at all if they weren't planning to do anything with it? just saying xD

Has anyone heard if they will return to CANADA ? I saw them last time in Vancouver but I was shocked that they only performed three or four songs of their old stuff
You can't fly commercial planes at 65, but private chartered band jets, yes he could from what I understand. He likely doesn't want to. Would love to see multiple times in North America. Somewhere in Time is my fav. album! Stranger in a Strangeland is my number 1. Caught Somewhere In Time is my number 2.
I'm soooooooo excited to be able to see Maiden again in Aotearoa! Can't wait to see all the great tracks from Senjutsu and Somewhere in Time - especially Alexander the Great (356-323)!
Yeah as a maiden fan from NZ - I find it quite interesting that they’re only doing one show here in Auckland. Especially since the 2020 concert was cancelled too. Every other time they’ve done two shows. One for each island. So now all the people in the South Island will have to travel up north to see them so that’s surely that’s a sold out show?? Anyway, it’ll be an amazing show and I absolutely cannot wait to hear somewhere in time songs! 🤘🏻🤘🏻 11 months and counting
AHH damit could they not stop in South Africa first. it's pretty much the same longitude as AUS...it's not like Bruce needs to fly via Dubai from here to get to AUS...IT"S HIS PLANE!!!!
I just wish (probably won’t happen 😜) they’ll play: 1- The Duellists 2- Deja Vu 3- The Loneliness of the long distance runner 4- Genghis Khan 5- Transylvania 6- Flash of the Blade 7- Afraid to shoot strangers 8- The Nomad 9- Sea of Madness 10- 22 Acacia Avenue 11- Infinite Dreams 12- Ghost of the Navigator 13- Montségur 14- No More Lies 15- If Eternity should fail I know it won’t happen, just a wish 😜 Some of the songs are rarely played live, and some are never played live
I hope they change the set list! Please, guys, change it! Make it exciting and equally awesome! This tour is focused on both the Somewhere In Time, and Senjutsu albums. Since they include songs from other albums, include some more! Don't play Fear of the Dark, The Trooper, and Can I Play With Madness? They can do this and the tour will be no different as the awesomeness!
They aren't gonna do any different than 5 Somewhere in Time and 5 Senjutsu... it says right on the advertisement. So if they add Deja Vu they have to subtract a song from Somewhere in Time..... and honestly I really don't want to do that as they have the best five. I must hear Stranger, Caught Somewhere in time, and Alexander LIVE. Really I don't want any changes because if they change anything they gonna cut Prisoner, Death of Celts, or Can I play with Madness. No way will they cut Iron Maiden, FOTD, or Trooper. Though I'd be done for cutting Iron Maiden. Dealth of Celts for Parchment would be okay. I really don't want to hear Number of the Beast stuff they played on Legacy Tour. I saw that tour multiple times. So the setlist as is, is a winner for me.
I think Death of the Celts will be switched out for Parchmenr (which I will find a disappointment because I don’t enjoy that song in the slightest). I also feel like Prisoner or Can I Play With Madness could also be changed out for other deep cuts from those albums, say 22 Acacia Avenue and Moonchild?
Given Nickos health, Dave’s wish to spend more time with grand children and time going by so fast, is jt that far-fetched that Futurepast may be their last tour? Which would be sad news but no surprise. They are no super-humans, after all.
Just the fact that they are still working at the level that they are is special. Between Maiden and Priest going at it as hard and as long as they have I think calls for a twin tour of the monsters of metal. A world tour for the OG fans. Holy Shit that would be great
@megaduck7965 I've actually seen them share the same stage in Boston back in 1986 or 87... It was a killer one time show. They must have both been on tour at the same time, and booked a show or 2 like that... Not sure, but as I understand they've never been on the same tour together. (At least not a major tour). But yeah....the dream
Anyone know who is touring with them or opening for them? Just got our tickets for the Denver show Oct 19th but cant find anything on who is with them or opening

That would be great. I’ve seen them twice in St. Louis. Let’s make it 3.
