@Rtchugg ......the engines can operate long hood forward. Any engine can run long hood forward. Might be a little hard to see from a desktop control stand but nevertheless you can do it. As far as the SOU engines go...most (if not all, the company has done a lot of rebuilding at least old NW units) of them are still set up single control stand LHF operation. Just because the short hood is in the lead in the video doesn't mean much. Sincerely...NS engineer, VA Division, 21 years service.
