- Black Hole is unlocked after A-ranking all 7 Special Stages.
Black Hole is the ultimate challenge in SRB2, and for many the last obstacle towards getting all 200 emblems. The stage is full of damaging floors and walls which will take off precious seconds needed for finishing the stage. A-Ranking involves taking as little damage as possible so as to preserve time for when you get to the end to take a few more rings and spheres. The real challenge lies in the Time emblem, in which you have to collect enough spheres, avoid taking too much damage, and still finish the stage in under 2:30.

You can really see the evolution from the slightly flawed A in Egg Satellite to this
No human could have possibly been even partially responsible for creating this nightmare (no pun intended) of a special stage. Its just too brutally punishing and precisely tight for humans to truely achieve.
Especially the god forsaken time emblem.
The fact that its humanly possible amazes me.
I thought special stage 7 was the hardest
