Currently reading this and have set a number of skill goals as I reenter the performing world. Would love to correspond. I appreciate your presentation and focus on magic literature. Chuck Smith was the first I heard say “If you come up with the best effect ever performed, and want no one to copy you, put it in a book.

Another great review. This one definitely flew past many radars. Am glad I have one. reading it made me wanna see Florian's show and if I ever visit Germany i ll try track it down. very interesting way of thinking about magic and Mentalism and a nice read. the opening routine with the lemon, and psycho were my favorites, and am thinking the product Eternity by Emran Riaz has the potential to improve psycho a little.

Hey Jeff, thank you for your video. I also really like this book and it is one of my favorite books in mentalism too. I have dyslexia, so for me it is really important to know wich books I should read. I really like your 5 foot project. Maybe it is a stupid question, but could you perhaps one day do a video on 'how to read' a magic book? I am an cover to cover reader myself, but the huge disadventage is that I do not get to practise too much because I always try to read the whole book before I begin to do any of the tricks (and most of the time there is already the nekst great book that I also like to read).

Thanks for your comment, I.M.! Your question is not stupid at all - in fact, I've already had that request from someone else as well! It's on my list to do at some point in the future, so keep an eye out for that. Thanks again for taking time to watch and comment. Good luck!

I also have dyslexia, I really have to struggle through every book. Sometimes I have to read a chapter three times before I really understand. When I cannot use the effect or trick irl for some reason I skip it after one read.

I like to read magic books in pieces. The only magic book I read cover to cover was Max Maven’s Prism. I thought that was straight forward. Right now I’m working on Approaching Magic and I just hop around the book based on what I feel like working on that day.

I read the sample and I loved it. I'm trying to get a copy of it. But can you recommend any other books like this one. It's funny, interesting, modern, yet cites every one that inspired him. Gives you rationale and why it would work and why he changed some things about the old presentation?

There aren't a whole lot of books like this, which is what makes it so special. I'll give it some thought and if I come up with anything, I'll let you know
