In this session I mix the song "Hypnotized" by Amirror, Akon's newest artist on the Konvict Kulture label. This record features R&B vocals blended with an Amapiano music bed. We discuss vocal editing, treatment, and Mixbus processing! Amirror's FULL LENGTH Album COMING SOON

This might be one of your best mix walk through's to date. In fact, this is probably one of the best I've seen from anyone for that matter.
Wow 💎 personally, I would go with just the EQ blended in parallel
This was great to watch. Super helpful! Great song overall, too!
Damn great bro , btw alterboy sounded more cool to me
Dopeness!
I like the AO plugin on myself
Fabulous
27:57 with the sound shifter on! Gives it an analog retro summer beach festival sunset car trip.
My taste also goes a bit on this direction. Both sounded nice!
well both plugin are giving a vibe for real but i will go with the sound-shift by waves
Love this version of one of my favorit Akon songs. great tutorial & mix Matt!
in the future it wuld be cool with a video focused more on matching different sends on a Load vocal
I'm not sure what "matching different sends" means in this context?
@@WeissAdvice why you exempel pick a certain delay with your bricasti plate
this is gold. thank you
all the vocal stuff is so interesting - I'm genuinely learning useful things here
regarding the octave down section, I preferred it without, for the reason that the vocals stuck out more without and were more intelligible my ear, and I like (people) to hear the words
hey matthew love the content !!! I just love this 7:44 akon adlib delay when he says "do it some more" how do you do that, do you have any tutorial about that ? it sounds amazing one thing I love about your records its how the delays and reverbs are placed in the track.
it's literally just the stock PT delay and D-Verb. 4.5sec long hall on DVerb, both the reverb and dry signal feeding the delay. No mod, no roll off, just 44% feedback.
@@WeissAdvice thanks matthew so simple as you said but sounds clean as hell..
I like it with soundshifter parallel the melody with the music sounds natural
yo bro, where can i email you? i want you to analyze this tory lanez vocal session thats private video, let me know, thanks and did you use the evo 251 on her vocals?
matt@weiss-sound.com
Amirror tracked on a U87 - definitely not my preference on her voice, but sometimes you use what ya got.
@@WeissAdvice i just sent it, my question is, why would somebody decide to use autotune in the end of the vocal chain instead of the beginning? just curious
How was this tracked matt?

Last weeks video is a demonstration of the tracking session. There's a link in the very beginning of this video as well as on the "Videos" section of my channel.
Without the analog session! It takes indeed a lot of the smoothness, but to a point were it wasn't truly worth the bet.
