I purchased this kit and it worked amazing, I have a shapeoko 3XXL and it was excellent. Use cabinet/furniture grade MDF, some sanding, thick undercoat primer, some sanding, 2-3 coats of a quality paint, 320grit scuff between coats, and I produced "perfect finished" doors.
Great to hear! Thank you for sharing!
A few years ago I worked on a Homag-Wekke, when processing MDF there was always dust everywhere, even with the use of professional dust collectors. Five minutes to process the entire board is a very good result for this type of machine. Another good video. Well done. Greetings from Poland
Great point! Thank you
A follow up video on how you would paint these would be appreciated!

You should do a shop tour showing all you equipment especially your concert mechanics
we most definitely try to show our equipment, it is actually changing often so we try to show it here on UA-cam and on our Instagram, instagram.com/toolstoday/

Hi
That’s real neat. I tried with the bits I have…..only bit I have not in the kit is the 1.5” surfacing bit, instead I have same sized surfacing bit with bonded carbide blades instead of replaceable ones.
I found that the pocketed area the MDF was quite fuzzy. Sanded it but still not very smooth so not sure if this is OK for two pack finish. Query I have is if I was to get the RC-2254 surfacing bit from the kit will that make a difference to the pocketed finish?
Cheers
Really amazing do you use vacuum to hold your board it was amazing to see the sboile boart not damaged please any guidance is welcome.
Yeah they use a vacuum table
Does recessing the centre section out leave a surface suitable for painting straight away or does it need sanded prior to priming and painting
Thank you for the great videos. My issue is that the flattening bit leaves ridges where it passes over. Also the 45 degree bit at the corners does not leave a smooth corner for some reason. Any advice would be great. We've surfaced the CNC bed so I don't think that is the issue.
Thank you
Have you trammed your router?
Coooool man
Hi, what is the thickness of the mdf you use?
They said 5/8 in the video.
How do you fight warp after removing so much material in the center? I figured MDF would be more stable than wood, but mine warped.
Hi, it shouldn't warp unless it was exposed to moisture perhaps.
So after you make these in MDF do you just seal and paint them?
Correct
I notice you guys didn’t put any tabs in, is that because you have a vacuum table or am I just missing something
What is the secret to getting a flawless paint finish on the milled out areas? It seems like no matter what I do some of the tooling marks just randomly appear after the paint dries.
Have you tried sanding ? Every door we machine where I work is sent to be sanded before it’s painted/foiled
How is the sheet attached to the bed, vacuum bed?
Yes we used the Fein Vacuum available here www.toolstoday.com/fein-92036236090-turbo-ii-wet-dry-dust-extractor-vacuum.html
Two things…1) that mdf dust is terrible to breathe, you should definitely have your DC going.
2) unless you cut relief pockets in the backside of those doors, they will cup.
I’ve never seen anyone else cutting relief slots and I don’t see any my cabinet doors at home?
Donde la puedo conseguir esa maquina??
hey where to get MDF
Hi can this bits be used on a non atc cnc, I am interested in purchasing the tools
I am new at this so I apologize if it’s a dumb question
Yes they can be, you'll just need to be sure to set the z-zero position between bits very accurately
What Cnc use in video ?
Arshad khan pakistan quetta
how did you get a 90-degree inner corners ?
Using the v-bit and a v-carve toolpath
how much is a machine like this?
Hi, we offer a variety of machines for budget types. check them out here toolstoday.com/everything-cnc/cnc-machines.html

Thanks!
Can you send plans
