i was there and it was phantastic, on each seat there were two people, the tent was packed, no one left the tent during the soundcheck, just to take a glimpse of miles. the line up of the festival was great including ckick corea, sam rivers, lester bowie and many more. bowie played in front of miles and there was a little struggle between those two (bowie released a track called 'miles davis meets donald duck'). but then miles came on stage with this attitude 'i am playing the trumpet and nobody else` and he didn`t gave you a chance to applaud for nearly 50 minutes, each time before a solo ended a new thing came in, but then after these 50 minutes, the tent exploded, thank you miles for this once in a lifetime experience and thank you for posting; ps sorry for my english

A superb recollection. What was the chanting about, do you remember? (Your English is excellent!)

Thank you, for your nice respond, i dont remember, what it was about, Sorry, but the atmosphere was so loaded, when you can't applaud, because there is absolutely no space for it without disturbing the next sequenze, ist's just breathtaking
I think it was just a kind of relief

@@michaelhaberz5371 Ah, not to worry- the atmosphere was obviously electric, you can't expect to remember every detail after 39 years! Thanks for your recollections.

      @@michaelhaberz5371 Lieber Herr Haberz,
I remember that was on Saturday evening there. Just before Miles was Weather Report on stage, weren't they? After Miles played the Lounge Lizards and finally it was Bo Diddley with several stars in his band, one of them was Ron Wood of the Rolling Stones.

That was the yearly Jazz Festival in Wiesen, Austria, and Chick was playing a gig there with another band before. He only came on stage again to play the encore with Miles.

Chick’s musical universe expanded rigorously with his stay with Miles and Miles’ various iterations . the gravity of Miles’ “Black Hole” personality and profound musical tone redirected Chick into areas of musical self-discovery not achieved since . Thank you Chick for carrying the torch for so long.

Tone, intensity, the search for the soul of life propels each musician to levels of creative interaction which will always be a deposit into their lasting legacy. I will always remember the words of St. Trane, “I played more Horn wi❤th Miles than at any time of my life”. The elements of true genius always lie below the terrain that sculptures the contours of great art. In certain environments the aura of mystery and magic infuses the artifacts of the creative process with elevated status.

Someone should fashion a suit, capable of withstanding the brute power force and bite of a silverback gorilla, polar bear, or lion.Maybe it could be made of some combination of alloy and carbon bite proof material. If a human got into a biteproof, injury- proof suit, what could happen? A wild bull ride at the very least.😅😅😅😅😅
