I would love to speak with you about adding pyrotechnics to your projects. Plus, I am only 3 hours away from Lexington, KY located in Charleston, WV. Also do you ever take the show out? I would love to catch your music live. PM me.
Suena demasiado bien!!! Saludos desde Argentina
whaaaa? i am crushed. i listen to this version over the boston version all the time because of the distinct texture. my best to all those who love him. gone, but never forgotten my friend. @@wvpyrotech
Close your eyes I defy anyone not to identify with the origin of who cut the record first,so true to the sound
Still waiting for More then a feeling 😉
RIP to guitarist Tom Leszega who passed away in April, 2023. He's the guitarist in the middle, jeans and all black shirt. May God Bless Tom and his family!
I am so sorry for the loss of this man. My best to all
Geez, terribly sorry to hear it. He will be missed.
🙏🎶🎸🌷♥️R.I.P🎉 TOM gitarist
Prayers for Tom's family and friends 🙏
Very sorry to hear. Really loved his look and performance. RIP
bass player is literally perfect note for note im very impressed
Completely agree. Randy nails it! I would love to see LLB cover Boston's "Can'tcha Say (You Believe in Me)" because it's an awesome song with a fantastic bass part, and I would love to hear/see Randy play it.
They are all great, but when it comes to note for note precise reproduction, there is nobody in the band like Randy.
Wow I clicked on here to see if they hit the high notes..yes sir.!! And the double lead guitars..great.. well done. Peck
Auto tune? Even so its great
The skill level of this group of musicians is something to behold. Truly inspiring.
I was looking at the Boston album cover several nites ago n was stunned to discover what I thought was spaceships on there is in fact Guitars and the Word Peace is the smoje😂🤣and I’ve had that album for years!
Almost every take about the spaceships.
No doubts in my mind about that 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
Let's hear it for the drummer too people!😎
If this guys aren't the best cover band on the planet...then......I'm not alive!
Agreed100 they’re definitely the best❤❤❤❤❤
Totally agree!!
Yes, they are great - but also give Leopold and Friends a listen - you will be blown away
Brad Delp's voice was one of a kind with near unmatched power and range. It takes guts for anyone to try and sing this song... 👍
And not a bad attempt. This band's covers are so authentic, it's a joy to watch them recreate the original sounds.
Fantastic job recreating the original sound.
I saw Brad Delp’s last performance, with his Beatles tribute band, before his death. He was absolutely amazing and one of a kind. Your vocals on this song would have made him very proud. It is indeed an honor to be compared to him and you compare very well.
Man your so right
Brad I got your name now gimmi your voice! awesome great tribute if you ask me!
As a musician of many decades and doing it for a living for most that time, I gotta say. These guys are absolutely incredible musicians. And everytime I watch a video I'm always so impressed how they nail the tones. Nailing tones of such iconic songs is NOT easy at all people. Not at all. And every song they do is a huge risk. If you don't do it very well, you will get slayed, ridiculed and bounced right off the stage. They don't do it very well. They do it 99% perfectly. Every song. And whoever does the mixing is obviously pro level. Must be someone in the industry that has some real experience in mixing, engineering and mastering. Also, the video quality and editing is high level pro too. Love seeing what they'll do next.
That's what I was thinking. What a great rendition, for lack of better word.
Anthony - I agree w/ you. As a mediocre guitarist, a good singer with an avid ear for quality tasty material, one area which I find extremely beneficial to Lexington Lab Band are the correct ensemble of instruments. They "are" using the right instruments to gain the right sound. Well done!
Very well said.
I am 60 and been around music all my life. I totally agree . I'm a tone chaser and still searching the great ones after all these years.
Yes!! Amazing tone matching.
This was my dads favorite song before he passed away. After he died I struggled (and still do) with losing him but I played Boston’s version (live, studio, demo, etc.) everyday and for 4 minutes it felt like he wasn’t gone. Fast forward and my wife was pregnant with my daughter and she must have heard peace of mind so many times before she was born that it calms her down and helps her sleep. Anyways, yesterday I played this video for her and she calmed down just like Boston’s version and if that isn’t the ultimate compliment I don’t know what is. Great work from your newest subscriber!
Music is powerful! I too lost my dad recently and he was such an influence on me, including musically. Thanks for sharing your story with us! - V
@@LexingtonLabBand it's great to see that someone from the Band is reading and replying to comments. Keep it up!!!
Hang in there Mario. All the best to you, your wife and little baby
Mario, your dad raised a good man. Great to have you aboard!
@@johnmichael7983 thank you John! 🙏
Take it from a guitar player in his 60th year: This is about as perfect as this song can be performed.
Never seen a bass player actually hold this song up to standard. I could watch a video of just him playing this song and never get tired of it.
I agree. Randy is amazing.
Agreed!!
I agree, Great bass player. The video producer does not give him enough screen time!
Same. I used to play bass many many years ago and since then the first thing I listen for in a song is the bass line & he nails this one right on the head of the nail! Actuallu the whole band did,
I just fell in love with this band! Their ABSOLUTELY AWESOME! Really love the feminine backup vocals also!
Yeah, the female backup singers are awesome!
Yeah, they are the BEST!
Im 68 and I CANT STOP HEAR THE MUSIC ITS make me happy and I Will Dance all the time .BRILLIANT THANK YOU SO MUCH
I WILL HEAR THE MUSIC OVER AND OVER AGAIN CANT STOP PLAY IT ♥️
Mike's range is truly incredible. Not many singers can hit the high notes that Brad Delp was known for. Great job !
Def Leppard and Boston are among the hardest to cover because there are so many layered vocal harmonies and guitars to the production. That this band can reproduce both bands with such precision really is quite impressive.
Yeah but that Hysteria era Def Leppard is Pop rock garbage High n Dry was when they rocked
Well that took some balls, but oh my, did you all pull it off...
I don't care how many times I watch this video, I am totally blown away by the performance and its perfection!
Yeah I just watched it last night and just rewatched it today, the next day. Totally awesome!
Same here! Just smh in wonder
Has everyone noticed that many of these great covers bring back specific memories at specific times in the listener's life? The power of a great song can never be underestimated.
sitting in our camaro listening to this on 8 track .. i can see it clearly . 78' circa
Music, the real time machine !
Riding around in the car with Dad on the weekends looking for trouble to get into!
Sitting in my 72 Cougar listening to this also on 8 track (which I still have and it works) @@CraigBMM right there with you Craig!
The year was 1978. I was a senior in high school. My best friend Steve White came to school one day and said "Mike, you have to hear this album!" The group is called Boston. The album -- More Than a Feeling. I had never heard anything so good. I turn 62 in March and STILL haven't. As a trial lawyer now, I have a ritual before the first day of every trial - Crank up Boston"s "Smokin" and "Rock and Roll Band!" Thank you again Steve and thank you LLB for the incredible memory!!
Can you say masterpiece? Well kids, that is what you get with this song and EVERYTHING that LLB produces.
Fantastically done guys! BRAVO!
Closed my eyes and this took me back to my 70s teen years. Thank you...
Great song, always loved it, and beautifully covered! Thanks for the memories!
My favorite Boston tune❤
the guitars sound like the real boston
They’re probably using Tom Scholz Rockman Modules. They give you the exact sound of Boston.
All of it does😂❤
I closed my eyes and thought it was BOSTON! These people are seriously talented!!!
Seeing these guys is like seeing Boston, Journey, Hall N' Oates, Doobie Brothers, Van Halen, etc, in their prime. They sound AMAZING! I'd pay to see that concert if they're ever going to tour. You don't just get one band but the best from all those legendary musical masters. We may not have Brad Delp, Eddie Van Halen, or Darryl Hall's voice around any more (sorry Darryl) but these guys recreate the magic of their heydays..
wow!!! this band is awesome aint no amatuers here!!!!!
"Now if you're climbing to the top of the company ladder ..." is one of the most iconic stanzas in Rock & Roll.
OH MY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Brilliant Cover. And just for the record: No Bass Player in the Credits. I Think he deserves it!
Amazing job by Randy Refalo!
absolutely the bass player deserves as much credit as any others. to take on Boston and make it sounds as good as LLB does is an extraordinary accomplishment. the entire group deserves copious praise
@@beautifulinstrumentals2866 Here Hear!! lol
Bass player definitely deserves some props!
absolutely! the bass man is my fav band member to watch. he is ROCK SOLID -
you can tell these guys dont fuck around with equipment, top notch and it shows,, well done
I am humbled my these guys. As a bass player, I cannot get over the precision of the bottom line including drums...love it all....
The guy is very good
I thought Tom Scholz was great on bass. And I've played bass for a looong tme.
@@stevedrake604 Ever seen how many cameras they use? Also, the performance is recorded and remixed just like all video sessions. Any way you put it, they are fantastic.
Not good
@@mayhemmechanics4068 You are evidently not a musician nor a music lover.
Those dual guitar solos are awesome!
Perfection! Love the female backup vocals; wow - great harmony! Thanks! :-)
Lady Jessica is in just about everything LLB does.
What kind of strange, wonderful world is this where I sometimes prefer the cover over the original? Is that even allowed? You're messing with my mind, LLB.
Don, t be silly 😂
Yes I think it's allowed 🎉❤
Yes it's allowed and often a beautiful thing to hear
WTF!!!! YOU ARE NOT RIGHT!!!! THIS COVER IS AWESOME!!! BUT THE ORIGINAL IS.,,,
D I V I N E!!!
NEVERTHELESS I RESPECT EVERYONE.
🤜🤛
Ridiculous good!!!! Love the vocal harmonies and just how rich and full they sound. I've got goosebumps listening to this!!!!
Great musicians, great songs, nothing over the top, just great music. A great distraction from all the COVID BS!
Love 💘 to the girls who sing back up on these songs .
I want my "More Than A Feeling!"
Never thought anyone could come close to duplicating the sound of BOSTON. THEY FUCKING DO!!!!!!!!!!
Dude your language sucks. There are women and children reading this.
WOW... just WOW!!! SIMPLY AMAZING!!! SPECTACULAR GUITAR WORK!!!
I never realized that clean cut guys could play this kind of music. 🙂
Great bassing, Randy !
There is nothing in heaven or on earth like the sound of 2 Les Paul's playing lead together. Nothing.
You have not been there (yet)---when your time comes you will know.
Awesome guitar, bass, singing...everything! Great job!
The precise orchestration shows you just how complex those “old guy songs” really are. These so called “artists” with their mumbling nonsensical noise on today’s music stations couldn’t even be this talented in their dreams. To be able to replicate a song of this magnitude, you gotta be some bad dudes! Outstanding job band!
Thanks so much for watching! We’d love for you to share and help us grow! Don’t forget to subscribe to the channel and turn on the alerts for upcoming content. You’re not going to want to miss it!
And again they do a great job belting out this song, so sorry about Tom passing, RIP.
I love Jessica McKinney. .
His vocals are absolutely excellent.
Love this cover version. Ladies on the high harmony......that is so sweet sounding! BASS is dead on....but I am biased as a bassist...lol. Guitars got that Boston dual tracking guitar sound and the distortion and delay is just right. Drums with great time and driving bass in the pocket. Lead vocalist got a great feel. The mix is wonderful and the Tom Scholz guitar pick drags is all Boston.
Milton Chavez bass is driving the song, as it should be.
@@Sto1660 Yeah Randy!
ROCKMAN at work
Thanks for putting it in words. My feelings exactly!
Agreed!!
Back in the late '70's, I had a summer job, 1000 miles away. At the time I was driving a 427 Corvette convertible with side pipes (the big, chrome Hookers). I had installed an 8-Track tape player, but had no tapes. At a convenience store, where I was fueling up for the trip, they had a limited supply of various tapes... so, I grabbed the one from Boston. By the time I got to the job in Oklahoma City, I was vibrating like I had been in the front row of the concert, and I had the entire tape memorized. For years after that I couldn't listen to anything from Boston. All these years later, LLB has re-introduced me to some truly great classic rock... Including this from Boston. It really helps that I can see the musicians do their part. It make it all brand new again. Thank you.
I graduated in 73... Seen all the rock bands live in concert. And these guys do it right
Just wanted to give some credit to the video shooting and editing on the Boston session particularly. The close-ups, wider shots, cuts and general production match the energy of the music perfectly and really enhance the performances so much. Thanks to everyone involved. Since watching some of these videos I have purchased digital copies of a couple of album collections. Perfect for in the car and making my commute a pleasure. Thanks again for such fantastic performances.
I've played in several cover bands. Boston is by far the toughest cover we did.
The ladies are perfect
And easy to look at also!
Tremendous
you guys are just trying to gat dates. they are weak
I grew up with this song (70's kid) and this is EXTREMELY WELL DONE!!!!!!! Damn, people!!!! Bravo and Encore!!!!! lol
So glad you liked it, stay tuned more Chicago songs coming in the next few weeks!
@@LexingtonLabBand I live in Chicago.......go figure. lol
Lexington are the only cover band that I know that do Boston numbers🇺🇲🇺🇲🇺🇲🇺🇲🎸☮️😎
Well, actually lots of bands do. On UA-cam one comes to mind, Jay Sekulow's band (yeah, that Jay Sekulow, conservative hero and the scourge of the ACLU). But I don't think anyone does Boston better than these guys!!!
SO many great albums came out in the '70's!
Those female voices are so beautiful! Lovely rendition of this classic rocker.
Pure excellence, LLB.
Randy is one amazing bass player!
You guys rock. I grew up as a Boston fan back in the 70's and you guys did something that no one could dupicate what they did at the time.
90 People have absolutely NO CLUE. Kick Ass!
I'm from Boston and I was a tenn in the 70's, I loved these guys, such amazing songs, one guy put it all together, it's crazy.
Boston influenced many people back in the day, they had the chi, prana, energy, whatever you call it, they frikking rocked!!!
And to think Tom did the original all by himself (with Brad's vocals) down in his basement. Just a remarkable achievement. If he had known these ladies he would have used them too. Such beautiful harmonies.
TheBent139 Yep. Tom and Brad are/were amazing.
Loved Brad's vocals. Side note, Tom didn't play the drums, a Jim Mar-something (can't remember his name) did on the demo. When Tom signed w/Epic, they told Tom, anybody but that drummer. So Tom got Sid Hasien for the 1st 3 albums, then they had a falling out. May Brad and Sid rest in peace.
@@happydays8171 Jim Masdea
Tom did not "do the original all by himself" in his basement. All of Brads vocals were recorded in a big name studio under the direction of producer John Boylan. Sib played drums on all of tracks but one. Jim Masdea plays drums on Rock and Roll Band. Barry plays electric rhythm guitar on Foreplay. Barry plays electric lead and rhythm guitars on Long Time. The huge power chords on Longtime are played by Barry. Fran plays bass on Foreplay. All of Let Me Take You Home was recorded in a big name studio by the band members as pictured on the back of the record. Tom has not been the most transparent and forthright person about how this record came to be and who did what along the way and giving credit where credit is due.
@@neechee5150 Tom is a strange bird for sure. You may be right, but whatever he did, or whoever he used, he still created an incredible sound on that 1st album (and the 2nd and 3rd).. The guitar, bass and organ are phenomenal on their own. Liking Boston is almost like being a punk, it is a defiance of the system. We see the rejection Scholz has endured from the snobs who control the industry. Yet I see so many musicians cover this music who seem to relish playing it. And I have a lot of band and concert t-shirts and my Boston T gets as much attention as any when I wear it out.
These songs are actually transportation vehicles. They can move you to a particular time and place in history, and make that memory as clear as if you were there once again.
So, I stumbled into LLB a couple of days ago and was totally and irrefutably blown away. Boston was in my top 3 favorites back in the day. I was a sound engineer for fun, so my listening tends toward the mix first, then everything else. I was also a keyboard player and arguably the best air drummer and air guitarist on my block, so hearing the relatively few cuts so far, it's like a trip to Disney World for me. Thank you for what you do, cause it's the most enjoyment of my kind of music in years! Bravo!
Robert, I celebrate their entire catalog :)
😸I empathize on many levels re your comments.Keys player for near on 5 decades and fascinated by production and sound.. these guys are very much the real deal.
The bass line in this song is the best in classic rock. Change my mind.
After playing in bands for decades.....you Guys and you beautiful Gals ARE AMAZING !!!!!!!!!
Saw Boston 3x . Still listening to the tommy schools creations.
Unfrigginbelievable! What a masterful tribute to the original! Musicianship that's as tight as my budget! And I really love the vocal harmonies! Kudos to the camera work and the recording / mixing engineer! Well done, everyone!
Thank you forever, LLB, for everything.
Never heard a better cover of this great song. All those singers and guitar players are needed to pull this stuff off live. If Boston performed they would need some extra backup singers at least.Great job
Same🥰
Hi!!! Everybody!! Nice song!!! I liked it a lot!. Jessica....lovely
The lady’s sing like angles from heaven.
Like 90° angles or 30° angles? 😄
@@phill.2924 whoops
OBSERVATION. Absolutely fantastic and those Angels were incredible, melodic and angelic
I love Boston and the whole sounds that they produced, this is a fantastic rendition of this track, amazing vocals from all the guys and girls
My favorite all time song! I've lived this song for the last 47 years! LLB is the best cover of this song that I've ever heard!
As the self proclaimed biggest Boston fan, I APPROVE!!! ❤
What a fantastic tribute to one of THE greatest bands of all time ever.....love love love love love Boston
Goosebumps when the girls came on on the first chorus.. Thank you for that.
Simply perfect!! Better than the original. And the plus of beautiful and talented backup singers
Fantastic harmonizing guitars. Female vocalists were great. Lead singer...hit that Brad Delp note! i'm smiling....Brad Delp is smiling! Well done y'all!
Simply no band on UA-cam is better than LLB. PERIOD!
Dude! You all added a 4th guitar???? Amazing. My band was working this up when my lead died, but while I could hit the Delp notes, only my female keyboardist could climb above me. And the other guys falsettos weren’t production worthy. Needed girls like you all have. Rock on! Long live the greatest band ever!
I love this band. I was a kid again for just a few seconds. Mmmmmwwwaa!
Flawless...must have played 8 times in a row.
What an extraordinary group of talented people! And from my home state to boot. 🫡
I'm not easily impressed by any band trying to cover Boston but you guys are pretty damn good so I'll admit.......I am impressed! 😎
Above and beyond than a tribute band. Sometimes indistinguishable from the master tape. Sometimes surpassing Boston's live performances. Great chorus. Thanks!
RIp Tom Leszega awesome guitarist an fantastic cover of Boston classic love it folks
Rockin' and rollin' with LLB on a Sunday night here in South Florida. Peace now ❤
LLB freaking rock! These gifted musicians are from Lexington, KY. The video and audio production are outstanding.
I’ve been listening for 3 hours!!! Awesome!!!
Hands down best cover band ever! Saw their last two anniversary concerts and had a blast! These guys rock `n roll, pop, country, you name it they can do it WELL!
One of the best Damn renditions I’ve heard on this song! #True Ballers!!
Boston made a lot of GREAT music, and Lexington made GREAT covers of their songs. WOW.
A chorus of Les Pauls. 🤤
Boston is a favourite band of mine. These guys nailed it!
