Same happened to me in Hongkong.... I was invited by my colleagues for dinner and I was taught that keeping my plate clean shows gratitude on the hosts.. I got sooo confused because they kept adding food in my plate without me asking!! I learned my lesson now and leave some food at my plate 😂😂Truly hospitable people 😂
The video is very interesting and funny, I loved the part that says "of course one could adapt". I think it's interesting and necessary to know things, customs, rules of other countries to avoid cultural misunderstandings.
i was in a malay village where they used same style washing-machines. they attached rubber knobs around the inside of the wash cylinder, loaded it with hot water, put it on spin cycle and yep - the perfect chicken plucker. yeah for innovation :) love the eels
My English teacher made me watch this video and I loved it. When you go to a different country, you'll find there are many things you have never read in books. Then, you should try to find more information about these cultural differences.
This is a hilarious video. We can see some embarrassing moments because of cultural misunderstandings. I think that now we can avoid some uncomfortable situations in other countries.
Really, to know others culture is a big challangr, but also it is a funny work. I remember when I knew a norwegian and he always ask me a beer after the lunch. I thought ...why?? I have a juice 😅
I think this video is interesting and funny. I also think that each person should be informed about the customs of any country that we are going to visit.
waoooo!!! 😱😱How interesting to know about cultural differences, there should be more computer videos since books or tourist guides do not give that information.
The first part of the video made me laugh jaja... very funny for example i think in Italia flower white has diferent meanings really each country has its own culture and it is important to know them a little.
and here i am about to discuss the cultural biases showed in this ad tomorrow. its a speech and i had 2 weeks to be done eith it. its due in 3 hours. wish me luck that i complete it.
As much as I enjoyed the video, I'm dubious as to the portrayal of the Indian ad where the shop owner seems to be using the washing machine to prepare lassi in large quantities. Its hilarious and yet so ridiculous. This shows how much HSBC has researched cultures from around the world. I'm going to simply ignore the credibility of these aspects of the cultural undertones as merely facetious, for entertainment purposes only and not to be considered remotely true unless accompanied by your own investigation. You can do better HSBC.
