Easy DIY Pip-boy 3000 from Fallout - Cardboard, foam, cheap build prop
Вставка

- You can make a DIY Pip-boy 3000 from Fallout with a little cardboard and craft foam. A few various bits of junk supply the details. And you can even make text for your Pip-boy screen with a little puffy paint. My neon green had dried up, so I just used plain green, but if you can opt for neon green it will look cooler. You could even use glow in the dark green for a cool effect in both light and dark! I used hot glue to fasten most of this together. You can use an alternative type glue as well. And definitely use an alternative glue when gluing in the plastic screen, as a hot glue gun will melt it.

Wow, I’m about halfway done with my piece and your tutorial is great and easy to follow. The pip boy is actually easy to build as you say, and that’s coming from someone that barely builds with craft foam.
Glad to hear you're finding it easy. Hope it turns out great 😊
One of the most underrated videos I've see in a while, keep it up!
Thanks so much 😊
Just finished mine, changed it up a little and added some extra embellishments also just used a little print out of the pip boy screen. Worked really well thank you for this great guide!
Glad you found it helpful 😊

Glad you found helpful 😊 Hope you have a great time with it on Halloween 🎃
So I'm about to make this for my son and had no idea where to start I think you just saved me so much time making this and I adore you for that!
Glad I could help 😊 Hope your son loves it.
You have to be the best channel on here. You always have great videos.

Awesome video! I found your channel from the Harry Potter wands, and I'm getting ready to go to a fallout event so this video is super helpful thanks!
Glad you explored my channel and found this helpful for your event 😊
this is so great! i'm going to make one of these for my wife. thanks for the tutorial!
What a cool idea! I'm sure your wife will love it 😊
Thank you SO much for this tutorial! I just finished my pipboy last night and I’m so proud of it! ☺️

Thanks so much 😊
THIS IS SO COOL AAAA
I will try to make this one when I finish another prop I'm making for one of my cosplays! Thank you so much
Thanks 😊 Good luck on yours when you make it.
Can't wait to make this for my costume! Ty for this awesome tutorial ❤
You're welcome 😊 Good luck on yours.
Will 6mm foam do okay?
You should be able to use 6mm for a lot of it, but you'll probably need something thinner for the parts that need to be more flexible (like the part that wraps around the wrist).
This is my first craft build, so I’m super exited, I just picked up the craft foam.
Good luck on it 😊
@@Thewoodlandelf thanks!
Awesome! thank you very much. I'll try to see if I can adapt my phone to be the pipboy screen so it looks a little bit more realistic. Fantastic job! And thanks again.
Thanks 😊 Yeah, I think it'd be pretty easy to alter to use your phone with it. Good luck.
Top notch work Amber! 3:31 it’s neat how you made the radio tuner with foam and a glue cap, I love the patina you added to the PIP Boy and thank you for the templates. Could you also make the Mark IV model from Fallout 4 and the Model 2000 mark VI from Fallout 76?
Thanks 😊 Yes, I save everything, so those old bottle caps always come in handy at some point, lol. Yeah, I'll add the other Marks to my to-do list.
it looks BEAUTIFUL., Im thinking of making this too, thanks for the tutorial ,it looks great
Thanks 😊 Good luck on yours if you make it.
I want to make something like this but Ill use the pit boy app and Ill put my phone in there so I can use it like a actual pit boy
Sounds like a super fun idea! 👍
Hey i was thinking of the same thing scince the fallout show came out and I just wanted to know if it worked well
I WANT ONE GIVE ME

Tysm I had lots of fun making this I only used card board because I didn’t have foam or any other materials
Glad you had fun making it 😊
This is awesome!
Thanks! 😊
You make it look so easy, but it took two weeks😅, good tutorial
It took me a little while to make it too, but I compressed it for the tutorial so it wouldn't be boring to watch 😂
I love this video! Keep it up.
Thanks so much 😊 Glad you enjoyed it.
Anytime! @@Thewoodlandelf
im currently making this out of cardboard, thanks for the help
Glad you found it helpful 😊 Good luck on yours.
Very cool thanks for the inspiration!
Glad you enjoyed it 😊
Thank you!
😊
Amber, this is completely amazing! The level of detail and you made it look so easy, wow. I've seen people glueing sand on the edges to make it look like rust as well, maybe it'll work?
Btw, where do you get your craft/eva foam?
Thanks so much 😊 I think I'll have to try that sand idea. Sound perfect to finish it off!
I get my craft foam from Joann Fabrics. If you don't have one of those, most general craft stores carry it. I think even Wal-mart carries it. And there's always Amazon if you don't have any place local.
@@Thewoodlandelf Ohhh I see. The stores here only sell 1mm craft foam. But yoga mats can always do the job for a thicker foam 😅. I've heard of people also using pool floor. It's sad cause at least in the part of Spain where I live it's so so hard to find cosplay materials but hey, one figures it out at the end 😂
Aww, that is sad. 1mm is pretty small to most things with. But yeah, yoga mats are a nice thickness for a lot of projects. Hopefully you have lots of those for sale near you 👍
Thank you, I love you.
Happy propmaking 😊
This is 👌 awesome
Thanks so much 😊
Yippie Yay!
There'll be no wedding bells for today

@@Thewoodlandelf you should make a pipboy 3000Mkiv i think thats how it is spelled
Yup, that one is on my to-do list as well, I had someone else request that one too.
I JUST WANT A PIP BOYYY
Hi, what can I use instead of the craft foam? Is it possible to make it using only card board?
Yes, you can definitely just use cardboard. But you'll need something flexible like cereal box cardboard for the parts that need to bend.
Literally my halloween costume
Nice 🙌
I didn't get a email from your website what else can I do?
Ok, your email provider might be blocking it. What's your email? I'll try sending it to you directly.
I actually just got a email for the patterns vault, Thanks.
Its too stressful for me and i cant do it ive been upset for 20 minutes because i couldnt do this 😭😭
What part are you having trouble with? Maybe I can give further instructions to help.
I am starting NOW
Let's see how long it takes me-
Good luck, I hope you find it fairly quick and easy 😊
Waiting for the last Coat of glue to dry!!!
Wtf, Ive been postponing this project because I thought It would be super hard 😭 and it even was fun.
The template really gave me a way to start and most instructions were super clear.
I'll have to paint, but this was an understandable and fairly easy project!
Glad you found it easy follow and fun 😊
Can you do a cosplay on robin from teen titans 2003 animated show
Yup, I'll add it to my to-do list.
@@Thewoodlandelf i want to try cosplaying him for Halloween 2023
