Very nice game, cool decisions points. I liked the extra defend turn 2 with midnights dream and gaining a major the old fashioned way! Nicely played, and well explained!
Thank you! I like that trick when there's an explorer + town + city going to ravage on turn 2 (much more likely with BP6) and I can actually get enough Dahan in to clear it. There are times when it's better to just let the land blight for sure, though, and get the major/energy.
Never would have thought about just grabbing sun element in case of an event. Is Missionaries Arrive considered the worst event and sun is always the one to grab if not using it to meet a threshold? Or is it just because of this specific matchup/situation?
Really good question! There are three choice events I always want to be able to pay for if they come up, Missionaries Arrive, New Species Spread, and Years of Little Rain. When I have an extra element available like in this case, I'd err towards sun because not paying for Missionaries hurts the most of those. This is probably a topic worth diving deeper into at some point, though. Certain events are so impactful that they increase the value of some power cards just because of their elements (Delusions of Danger being my favorite example).
I was surprised you killed the town in 2 with the disease damage, thought you would go for the extra building for fear farming. I think it would have only caused issues when it was time to defend though so my greed would have cost me! :P Also taking Aid from lesser with one blight on the card! I love it, the next blight was incoming immediately and there are so many worse blight cards!
Towns are tricky to farm when you don't have isolate; I believe the push is mandatory? So I often assume I'm only going to shadow kill that town once, which is only 1 Fear better than killing it outright. Aid From Lesser Spirits is so absurdly good that I didn't want to pass on it, and it looked like I could dodge blight for at least another couple turns to try and rush the fear victory (as long as the event deck didn't screw me over).
I'll comment on every one of these videos. I love them. You make us understand the game so easily. I won most of my games after watching your videos.
Thank you so much for the kind words, glad to hear the videos are helping! I'll just reply to this one, but I appreciate all the comments :D

One of my favorite matchups. Great game!
Thanks! Do you tend to follow a similar route, or do things differently?
@@kalennoreth pretty much the same thing!
Can you please play the match Thunderspeaker vs Sweden 6 without events?
Yeah, that should be doable! I'll try to get that one either late this week or early next week.
@@kalennoreth Superb! Thanks a lot
