Hey! No specific bag in particular, but definitely one big enough for a laptop and other study essentials. It may help to have a bigger waterproof bag lying around to keep stuff in that you use for labs/farm practicals e.g. for keeping your labcoat/overalls/boots in because that stuff can get pretty gross and you may want a bag you can clean!
Hey Jess!! My dog ate some of my coffee beans and I'm just wondering if you recommend still using the beans after he passes them? I've heard of some people doing that and I was just wondering your opinion x
Hi Jess, your videos are very helpful and inspirational to me for a quick taster of the campus life in Massey. I’m an international student from South Korea and I’m currently studying at UC. But, sadly I’m not enjoying with my study. I used to be a military dog trainer in the airforce while I was doing military service for 2 years, and now I found myself wanting more animal related career and life. So, I have some questions: is it okay for people who are in their 30s or over to study veterinary science for 5 years or more in Massey? Do you have any class mates who are struggling with their studies due to their age? And how do you think your study going? Is it challenging to catch up? Sorry if my questions are ragged. Hope to see you again. Cheers 😄
Wow thats so cool what you did in the military. Yes definitely, there are many many mature students in my class, in fact it is common in vet school to have older students, as long as it doesn't bother you studying for 5 years at this age - there is absolutely no other barriers! I don't think any of my classmates are struggling due to their age, there are some with kids, pregnancies and families and they still continue to study well. It is a very very enjoyable degree, but very hardwork. hope this helps :)

Hi!! Thanks :)
Um I want to be a vet and I'm wondering, how do you deal with the downsides??
Do you need to be really good at math to be a vet? Like getting A+ in math since you were a kid type of good? I really want to be a vet, I love animals and Im okay with anything bloody, I love waking up at 4am to be productive but Im not that good at math tho. Can I still be a vet?
No I don't think you need to be really good at math to be a vet, I have always struggled with it!
Is it harder becoming a vet then you imagined it would?
Awww when life was normal
Are tattoos/piercings allowed in vet school?

What Vet School do you go to?
Massey university!
The real money for vets is for treating livestock (farm animals, etc) or being an equine vet. ;))
Yes you're so right! Unfortunately those don't seem to be my passions yet . . . Maybe specialization will help hahaha
Is a tutorial a lab?
Hey! So a tutorial is like a lecture but with more engagement e.g. more discussion and involvement, from students, and it runs longer than a normal lecture. Bit different from a lab which is more practical and hands on.
