You inspire me as a Black woman, entering a field that is primarily dominated by White men and non-Black POC. You are truly living up to that #BlackGirlMagic. Continue to do you girl and know that you have a lot of people looking up to you (especially me)
Thank you sooo much Kristina!!! This comment is EVERYTHING. Your words mean more to me than you know. Keep pressing forward girl. Leave your mark on this world. #BlackGirlMagic
As a WOC, and a girl who has a Indian parent who is a doctor, I understand the sheer racism in your field, and girl, you rock! I aspire to be like you and my dad, and become a doctor! I love it.
I completely agree about the gap year comments. I took a semester off between community college, and going to a 4 yr university. I was working full-time, in school full-time, and I didn't know the exact path I wanted to take. Frankly, I needed a break! I used my time off in the fall of 2001 to regroup, then went back in January to a 4 yr. I felt refreshed, and forged ahead to finish my degree. One of the best decisions I ever made.
I am a pre-med student and I am so excited about med school and what the future holds. Your videos and Jaime's videos are so helpful in keeping me motivated and keeping the fear and doubt of my own ability at bay. Thank you for all that you do. :))
Your videos are so inspiring. I really enjoy watching them especially when we get to see you and your peers discussing how they got to where they are now.
Oh my, Brittny! You just make me so happy! Your energy is unbelievably motivating, inspiring, and uplifting. I got my undergrad in Social Work this year. I am very interested in the medical field, always have been. However, my passion for helping a variety of people led me to Social Work. I am now exploring my medical path. I have registered for additional Human Biology courses for the upcoming semesters. I have just been accepted a position at my city's hospital to work in Maternity as an NA. I have just received my CNA. I am not looking to pursue Nursing per say. However, I wanted to get my foot in the door to the medical field to explore how it feels to work in the hospital. Ideally, my (out-there) dream, would be to go into OB. I am currently in a coffee shop, studying my nursing textbook, preparing for the next two weeks of Maternity training. As soon as I got my notification that you uploaded a new video, I completely (admittedly) geeked out. Brittny, you are a huge inspiration for me, and someone I can relate to and look up to. I see so much of myself in you with your energy, and value of hard-work. Thank you again for letting us get a snippet of your day. It is evident how hard you're working, and I think I can vouch for "thebrittnyway" fam when I say, that we are all so PROUD to be a part of all of this with you! When you commented on my comment on one of your latest videos, I felt as though you and I were really communicating. It's awesome that you keep in contact with your subbies. Keep working hard, and being your beautiful self! I look forward to the next video! XO - Emmy
Love love love your videos ! Your back tattoo is everything 🙌🏾😍😍 I love Planners and anything dealing with organization so I think giving various items which have assisted in your success would be awesome. Once again love love you and your channel. Your positivity is everything !
Yay, you posted again!!!!! Love your videos, you make me aspire and strive to go to med school in the next 10 or so years. Thank you sm for the inspiration Brittny!!! 💕
Yay I'm so glad to see a City Year alum in the med school panel in your blog! I graduated last year and currently work for City Year in DC. Best decision I ever made! :)
I doubt myself getting into medical school and making it as a doctor but when I see your videos you give me life and inspiration... don't ever stop being amazing 😊💕
ive always thought about going to med school and watching these types of videos is really helping me realize what i would be getting into and how to handle it💕
Aww thanks! Congrats on completing your first year of Pharm school. I have a few friends in Pharm school and I've heard how intense it can be. I love StrivetoFit as well. She's amazing! Wishing you the best in your future endeavors!
I am an upcoming sophomore; and I would like to thank you for making these awesome videos. I hope to be a doctor one day(neurosurgeon hopefully) and being able to watch you through your medical school process really gives me hope. I'm taking AP classes and really trying to set myself up for success. To prove to the world that I am capable of becoming a great physician one day. Being able to watch you on your journey really helps me. I look forward to seeing you progress and become an amazing role-model and physician.
CeCe Forrest I'm gonna start with year 9 next year and I'm studying igcse rn, I'm planning to go to university as soon as I'm done with my o levels and board exams, I'm hoping to become a cosmetic dermatologist. last year I had no goal in my life, and I ended up getting last in my class, but this year I worked hard and I had a goal and I was informed last week that I actually scored first this year! very proud and I hope I stay like this. so glad I found someone around my age who has the same hopes as I do, GOOD LUCK!!
Can we talk about how lucky your sisters are 😩 lol. Also, the chemical engineer guy is me. Trying to find my way to that MD by any means necessary. I hope your school year ended well!
Hi Brittny! I love your videos! I love seeing the daily aspects of medical school and all the hard you have been putting in to achieve your dreams! I really believe you are going to do some amazing things. From your introduction on the student panel, it looks like you had a very unique journey to medical school. I was just wondering if you can expand on some of the things you did during your gap years, how you think they made you more competitive, and any advice you have for pre-med students who might be in a similar situation? Thank you! I really appreciate it!
I just adore you videos..... you are so positive and inspiring... P.S: I love the most when you show us your notebooks and pens 😍😍by the way you have a wonderful handwriting and a wondeful pictures hhh ❤❤❤
I feel that motivation is coming through my veins after watching your video 💖 You have such a good sense of humor, and you seem so lively 🙆 I've applied for 2 different med schools, and I'm waiting for my test results from one, and studying for the other (med school) exam. I really want to be a doctor, and you inspire me with your vlogs. Sending you lots of love 💞
I always get super excited when you post a video.God's richest blessings! Does your school have an international relations/ international crisis management major?
I attend the University of Florida as well! I'm hoping to run into you one of these days ;p You inspire me so much; I love your outlook and attitude and I wish you lots of success! :)
I'll definitely take you up on that. Maybe we can schedule something? I am really interested in learning about your experience with the Master's Program you completed at USF. I have my eyes on that as I'm graduating soon.
I'm obsessed with you, you are honestly an inspiration, not to mention an inspiration to minorities (being black as well as being a woman!!!!) I'm actually starting an organization at my school for women in STEM, with intersectionality being a huge factor. Thank you for the inspiration! I'm a pre-med student, and I also vlog! (although not necessarily my school life that much, its more of a video diary than anything). Thanks again!
This is awesome Camila! I'm so glad to hear that you are starting a STEM organization, I hope that you inspire as many women as possible. Thanks for watching! Wishing you the best :)
Maybe for the smaller giveaway, some stationary or something like you received, or a planner and a few supplies to go with it. Then for the 10,000 giveaway, a tablet, to stick with kind of the organized and positive scholarly theme of your channel. ☺️ Just an idea. Love your vids ❤️
Hi britty from the Philippines! :) I love your vlogs. I will be going to med school on august! So excited! All I want you to give us, your 10K subs, are more videos about tips, motivation and life in med school! :)
i really really want to become a doctor (and im from the philippines by the way) but im still in high school, you and Jamie inspire me to study medicine in the future!!! so i wanna say thank you 😊😊
You are more than welcome! Keep working hard and chasing your dream. One day you'll look back and be happy that you did. I wish you the best of everything the world has to offer!
Your amazing boo! You strive for the best always and giving me inspiration for meeee to keep trying and that it is all possible! Your videos give me life! Keep up the good work girl! Shoot some positivity my wayyyyy while I study for this mcat causeee it's stressful ahhah' sooo and mcat video would be helpful💖💖💖💖🔥🔥🔥🔥 #keepslaying T
Sarah!! I absolutely adore you. You've been with me from very early on. Studying for the MCAT is stressful - there is no way around it. Trust me, I took it 3 times. With dedication, discipline, and determination you will conquer this test. Keep pushing and don't stop until you make it out on top. I believe in you girl. Keep slaying!
First of all, God Bless you, and thank you! I have been back and forth for the past three years, debating if I should strive to get funded for the Accelerated Nursing school I was accepted to already (which did not require a pre-entrance nursing exam), or continue studying for a community college nursing program that's more affordable (which does require a pre-entrance nursing exam, which I failed on my first try), or if I should invest in my long term dreams and take a MCAT prep course so that I can combine my BS in Public Health with medical school knowledge to become a well rounded Osteopathic Physician. My fear of failing to retain basic information on that pre-entrance exam, being a single mother of a 5 year old little girl, past experience of being disrespected and mistreated, living in poverty, feeling misunderstood by friends and unappreciated, feeling unsuccessful at times has caused me to fear my own ability to go after what I need to go after to be happy with where I am and who I always wanted to become. I love the nurses I work with now, interned with and follow on social media, however, my long term goal is to be a Physician. You inspired me to go after what I really want and to be content with me every day, to take one day at a time but to remain hungry and therefore gritty/consistent and I love you for that. Your a black girl who Rock!
Hey Brittny! I just finished my first year of college and I am hoping to go to medical school when I graduate. I was wondering if you could give me advice and tips that would help better my chances of getting into medical school? I'm majoring in psychology with a minor in dance but now I'm thinking should I minor in Spanish? I'm very lost and confused because I want to make the best choice for me as well as standing out amongst other applicants.
hi Britt, ur videos just make a very big smile on my face everytime i wacth them, thanks so much for the positivity nd love...God bless u more... btw need some tips for studying, i spent like one week w/o studying coz of stress i think so nd now i feel a very big pressure. u know pharmaco, patho nd so on... do u have an advice for me?
Hey girl! I ended up in a similar situation with finals. If I could go back and do it all over again I would have found a better way to manage my stress. The week of finals I didn't exercise one time and when it came to exam day I had so much anxiety. Find what helps keep your stress levels down and try to do it a few days a week. It's so important!
I love these videos. Thank you so much. They are so inspiring. I am actually applying to PA school and these videos push me to focus and do my best. I think you should give away the pens. #GODALLASCOWBOYS. LOL
