Criminally underrated wrestler that had loads of potential, but failed to capture the fans' attentions, even after his awesome Devil's Advocate-inspired gimmick. With that being said, Sean had the look and wrestling ability, but lacked when it came to cutting promos. He's one of the guys that needed a very-tightly scripted promo to get over. Being put with Piper was what led to his downfall because while he got some big wins, they ultimately meant nothing and Sean was later sent down to developmental while wrestling on Velocity. I really feel for the man. His finisher was originally called Cruel Intentions and The Prophecy but was later changed to the far superior name The Widowmaker (don't forget about his diving finisher in WCW called the Sean-ton Bomb). Also, his entrance theme "Come On" by Waterproof Blonde still remains a classic. Hell, his WWE Network dubbed actually sounds cool too. Sadly, his demons got the better of him and he's no longer with us. R.I.P. Sean O'Haire. You deserved better both in and out of the ring. You're still one of my favourites to play as on Smackdown: HCTP. Rest in peace.

Sean O'Haire actually had potential. Shame it didn't pan out. He had a good look, was a decent size, and a decent worker. I think they should've went all in on the devil's advocate gimmick. Feel like he could've stuck around longer with that sort of gimmick, or if Piper didn't get fired and he was allowed to continue that. Shame really. R.I.P O'Haire.
Based upon what...? Besides his moveset size & aesthetic, he has ZERO charisma. He had no feel for pro rasslin. Everything he did was awkward & cringe. He couldn’t talk. He was a complete we!rdo who fought with everyone around him & everyone was afraid of him. What else were they supposed to do ....?
I always played as him in Smackdown Here Comes The Pain. I just thought he was cool. I loved his moveset and I always thought he just had the look of a champion.
It's not that Sean was a bad wrestler but he was overshadowed by a lot of wrestlers during that time . I can guarantee if we got Sean today he could easly be a heavyweight title holder . RIP man
1:57 Random Vince head. The best thing about Sean O'Haire was his entrance music. His team music with Palumbo was quite catchy for a stock theme, and then he had that awesome Waterproof Blonde song in 2003. I was there live for Match 13 and I remember the finish really pissing the crowd off. Rhino and O'Haire started off hot and got the crowd going and looking forward to two hosses beating the crap out of each other. and then it was over in about a minute.
Benoit vs O'Haire is definitely on the network lol. I just got through 2003. There is nothing of Benoit that is censored. There was even a promo where he talks about his wife and kid.
I got a weird story of him kinda. My roomate a long time ago worked at an Oxford Sweet. She came home one day to tell me that three guys from the WWE checked in. She described Paul Hayman, the Big Show who later hit on her and some scary strong guy with a goatee. After watching smackdown we figured it out it was Shawn.
His devils advocate character had so much potential. It’s like whenever someone they don’t want to really get over starts doing that they bury them. I loved him.
It appears they were happy with how his time in development went from 2001 until 2003 when they brought him back. They spent a bunch of time on that character and the vignettes, and had him working with and beating some top guys like Benoit, Eddie and Hogan, but then as soon as Piper's fired they just shitcan O'Haire. Surely they could've given him a chance to see how he'd do on his own. Makes me think he had some serious issues behind the scenes for them to just drop him cold like that.
I remember him trying to do K-1 in Japan after he got released. He looked great, but he got punked out by Musashi, who was barely a middle of the card fighter. Musashi basically let O'Haire hit him with his best shots for a little over a round and then picked him apart when he got gassed. That's the last I heard from O'Haire before his untimely passing.
It is very sad that he appeared in so very few matches in WWE. Considering how many worse wrestlers have appeared in far more, it really doesn't seem fair. He was simply there at the wrong time and could have been a big star had he been able to hold on just a little while longer until most of the big names of that era had cleared out.
I met him once at a bar in Savannah, Georgia. He was extremely polite and super friendly as we shared a few laughs over drinks; I genuinely regret not keeping in touch with him. Rest in peace, Sean.

I beat smackdown here comes the pain with this guy
Impressive considering his overall is like 68 in the game.
RIP Mr. O’Haire
O'Haire Goes For The Rob Terry Special And But Miss it lol 😂
Don't know how many matches did Perry Saturn had in TNA or the Sandman. Those would be good episodes IMO
I would like to see this wrestler get a review.
He has wrestled everyone.
Barry Horowitz.👍
Guys from back in the day like Sean O’Haire would be a main eventer and possible WWE Champion in today’s WWE
The special at the end, We all knew! I was with u on the words
12:43 The french commentator Christophe Agius used to call this move (finisher) "The Widow Maker"
Rest in peace Sean O'Haire. 🙏
I never heard of Sean O’haire before this video, he had a lot of potential and a great look it’s so unfortunate that he passed away and took his own life, RIP
See his wcw matches
Scott Steiner in the wwe !
I wish pro wrestling was still like this
he was massively underrated star
He’s overrated
The Widowmaker, a great move man
Sean O'Haire was an amazing Wrestler R.I.P
I'm so addicted to this channel.
Thanks dude
0:36 Why do I laugh every damn time he does that Hawk voice LOL
Finisher was called the widowmaker wish we could have had more time with o'haire he could have been a world champion with more promo work
guy was impressive, first time i saw him do a swanton bomb i was impressed, he moved like a cruiser but super tall
I just don’t understand how any other thought than “this dude has everything it takes to be a star” comes into your mind when you look at Sean.
Duttywine... you’re a man of class
4:58 that ain’t any referee, that’s TEDDY LONG! Since you didn’t give him a shoutout playa, tonight you get to go 1 on 1 with The Undertaker!
Sean o haire was a small man in a big man's body. Everyone would have loved his high flying mentality and power.
It's not that Sean was a bad wrestler but he was overshadowed by a lot of wrestlers during that time . I can guarantee if we got Sean today he could easly be a heavyweight title holder . RIP man
The invasion angle is legit the biggest what if in wrestling it’s a shame in a parallel universe we got it book good
1:57 Random Vince head.
I remember Sean been more on Velocity than Smackdown, such an underrated talent
Benoit vs O'Haire is definitely on the network lol. I just got through 2003. There is nothing of Benoit that is censored. There was even a promo where he talks about his wife and kid.
Sean o haire honestly looked like a vampire. Especially that black trench coat
O'Haire was just another Dubya See Dubya guy that Vince buried, but hey, I'm not telling you anything that you don't already know.
The greatest What if' ever.
do ice train in WCW or glacier and good job man keep it up i really enjoy ur work
His devils advocate character had so much potential.
I would love to see jeff hardy's stoner friend and Jesse neal on the next episode of ring of the hawk.
Moore had more than 30 matches, I believe. Neal instead fits
@@crisistian_ thanks for reminding me.
Sean O'Haire was the greatest wrestler the WWE never had -Stone Cold
Calling the Spin Kick 'Rob Terry Special' makes me chuckle every time :D
Sean o Haire vs Spanky was hilarious
