You hold the pane horizontal and slip in the hinge. Then you pull outwards as you fold it back down. I had a piece of weather stripping in the hinge that made this impossible, so I took the weather strip out to reinstall the pane. Then I painstakingly pushed the weather strip back between the panes using a knife.
Any hints, videos, etc of how to get the lower half back in? I see no way for this to happen right now and there is no helpful information out there to assist. Thanks
thanks for this i’ve resealed mine but then i accidentally popped one out and for the life of me have not been able to get it back in lol Should probably make a video on how to get em back in i’ve been searching for months lol
@@josiahlau264 When the window opens to 90 degrees, do they pop out (slip in/out) then? Or do they slide to the right or left when horizontal? You are the first one that I've found that has addressed this - so we are very thankful! While further searching, I'll see if I can contact someone at the window mfg (se-gi in our case). Safe and fun travels!
What is the technique for re-installing the vent glass to the frame? I was inspecting my windows and one of the vent panes came off in my hands and I can’t get it back on?? I watched a couple of videos but can’t seem to figure it out. Thanks!
I have not messed with dual pane windows in a long time. After sealing 2 holes can be drilled and an inert gas injected. Not hard if you have access to gas. Argon would be first choice, I have nitrogen which I would us. Time for a google search.
I'm glad to have found this channel. Do you mind if I ask where'd you get that specific window from? I need 6 and per your channel, I'll know how to fix it if anything goes wrong. I've also subbed due for the same reason.
I called around to several rv shops and auto glass shops. There was only 1 local auto glass shop I could find that would do it. I believe they order it from a supplier.
@@oldnewadventures Thank you for responding. Would you happen to have any information on the supplier or the local glass shop that ordered on your behalf?
I removed the round sealing foam. I could not get it back in with that in place. Then I used a knife and gently inserted it back between the window panes afterwards. Is a pain.
NM, I found a size that works. 10-3/32" Thank you for this video. it really helped me out of a jam. We had to do two windows and one of them has Rivets at the top that stopped it from just popping or sliding out. I drilled out those with a 1/16" drill bit to be able to manipulate the window easier.
I didn’t want to have to reseal the entire unit. This way I only had to put the window back in. But yes, it may be easier to work on after you remove the whole thing.

@@travis6173this would be so helpful. I accidentally put ours into 90° and as I closed it it slipped down and now can't get it back in proper 😣😣
would love to see how you put the window back on. We have a Lance RV, and the windows look nearly the same.
I'll give it a try - read through questions and comments below. Thank you so much for this video!
Sorry I don’t have any footage of that. The windows have held up for 2 winters though! No fog between the panes

@@WhatMeeWorrry there is a foam strip that sits in the hinge. I think this keeps everything from popping out.

How did you get the window back in
Do you have a link to the 12mm gasket you used?
I also can not get the window to go back in…I’ve been trying for hours. Any other pointers?

How did you reinstall the window?
what size screw and nut did you end up using to reattach the window crank assembly?

Great to hear! Happy it helped you out!
Seems like you should have just removed the entire window by removing those inner phillips screw heads???
