- At the DSA 2016 tri-service defence exhibition currently held in Kuala Lumpur (Malaysia) Navy Recognition had the chance to get the latest update on the Gowind frigate Littoral Combat Ship (LCS) as part of the Second Generation Patrol Vessel (SGPV) program.
Anuar Murad, Director of the Defence & Security Division at Boustead Heavy Industries Corporation Berhad (BHIC) tells us about the status of the program , the cooperation with DCNS and the capabilities of the frigate.
Philippe Darche, surface warship business development manager at DCNS, discusses the cooperation between Boustead and DCNS.
Last but certainly not least, we had the chance to get opinion of Admiral Kamarulzaman, the Chief of the Royal Malaysian Navy, on the program. - Наука та технологія
What has happened ? Until todate not even 1 LCS delivered. LCS 1 only at 60% completion.

Topol M are you sure we will build naval vessals in the future? Singapore has built many corvettes for Oman Navy. We,so far,have not build anything except for joint production which the I.P still belong to foreign country.

Setahu aku Singapore je ada LCS Frigate 4 Dimension..🇲🇾 sdg bangun 6 LCS Frigate 4 Dimension ni..bermakna di Asia Tenggara Malaysia n Singapore je yg ada kapal canggih ni..yg lain semua masih 3 Dimension warfare..
Canggih2 pun asyik delay je dari tahun berapa dah mau siap. Tukar kerajaan PH habis program dan masalah kewangan terbantut nk siap.cilake. buat kapal amik masa bertahun2..esok perang naya je msia
Kesian kapalnya ngga jadi sampe sekarang, raduah di Boustead besar sekali sepertinya

Asalamualaikum Dato, maaf saya katakan dan bertanya sedikit soalan pada Pihak Dato.. Kenapa Malaysia Navy tidak membuat perancangan perolehan tambahan kapal2 Friget yang sedia ada, malahan LCS adalah dr varian convert dan LCS dr jenis OPV so apakah ked kapal2 Friget Malaysia setakat 2 bijik..???

@@thekomerat1517 gowind 2500 is a small frigate or a large corvette, malaysia ordered an enlarged version which will be call gowind 3100 so its a proper frigate i guess?

Shah Rezan it's LCS means a Corvette for Littoral area but the displacement are about the same as frigate..

Sigma class Indonesia stand in different class and the Sigma class also nothing to our Jebat class. Indonesia built the PKR just for looking fancy ship. Don't u know the Bung Tomo class the Indonesia claimed that the super advance ship the Indonesian had and actually the bung tomo class built by the BAE for Brunei and then Brunei refused to get the ships due to technical issue on the ship. Its enough to us to judge the thinking level of the Indonesia military fan. Whatever owned by Indonesian is the best from the other thats their mentality.

Indonesia have 2 sigma, its Sigma corvette and sigma frigate/PKR. And in fact, a sigma corvette is better than Jebat class. Hahaha

I wonder why Indonesians kept bugging on Malaysian videos saying,"our ships are better than yours bla, bla, bla." You guys are so sad. Just accept the truth your new missile guided destroyer ship(Sigma class) is not stealthy and the specs are equal to your neighbors.

Kami bikin dan terus ada bukti dan progres sehingga fregat Pkr bisa di buat di dalam negri . ,anda bicara sigma yang tidak stealthy jadi anda sebenarnya yang meng underestimate terhadap indonesia. Kapal gowind malay lebih duluan peletakan lunas dari pada gowind mesir(egypt ) tapi punya mesir sudah lah melaut .Kapal malay masih di rancang di atas kertas sampai sekarang karena sesungguhnya kalian tidak punya alat(tools) untuk membuat kapal kalian hanya bisa buat perahu ..ha.ha.,haa. Jadi GO WIND MALAY HANYA IMPIAN YANG TAK AKAN TERWUJUD ,Akal -akalan gomen dengan perusahaan dalam negri malay untuk mencuri uang rakyat . TERUK SANGATLAH NAJIB AND ROSMAH ....

Beda dengan Gowind Malaysia semuanya dibna sendiri dengan keluli nya dibancuh sendiri dan memang lambat sebab shipyard di Malaysia banyak masih cold yard, Ngak perlu membanding dengan Gowind Egypt yg dibina di Perancis kerana shipyard nya udah hot yard.
Jangan ego banget dengan Sigma PKR tu, nanti lihat aja kapal siapa yg dijadikan seperti Fitted For But Not With(FFBNW) hahaha. Kapal2 besar tpi ngak punya senjata. Kaya rudal Cina yg gagal ditembak dri kapal Indog tempoh hari hahaha.
