Love the low profile of the boat
Funny that all the people here keep talking about the boat suffering in high waves... Singapore's waves don't even reach 0.5m most of the time. Perhaps just under a meter in the roughest storms, so designing for anything more is just over designing and making it out of place. Know what you need the vessel for, then design it to perform its tasks optimally. I bet most of these guys don't even know where Singapore is when they just saw this video.
yeah, having a country as wave barrier is weird flex
I Don't know who you were replying to but this boat is a spacific design to work together with other boats. tell those that came up with that as a argument, weigh the boat never being in high seas against a flat riding boat with radar guided 50 call machine gun. This flat rider is super dangerous to smugglers and also its radar adds to the net. I agree with you 100% brilliant design for coast guard use
anyone can google it, their not that dorky anymore
Its much better if any interceptor ship can partially subermerge thats the ultimate interceptor.
Never being design yet infact it can fly too 🤣🤣🤣
Speed and manuverablelity was too common nothing's so special about it
😎its understanable .
@@abdrahmanabdullah3113 well, the narcotics smuggler already has semi-submersible boat. So the concept isn't strange
Absolutely in readable. I hope the U.S. continues to support Singapore.
That is funny comment, it is not USA who supports Singapore but Singapore who supports USA by buying US weapons. :-)
This boat is locally built... except for harpoon missiles, all of Singapore’s navy are all local/French/German/Swedish/Israeli systems.
Wow look at the highly innovative design of that Navy vessel, she look like an OPV type version of the US built Zummwalt Class, highly stealth Destroyer.
Wow awesome! It looks nice and kind of futuristic ;) Nice job
Kid: I want a zumwalt class ship!
Mom: we have a zumwalt at home.
Zumwalt at home:
And it is just great for water skiing.
Sweet looking vessel. Wish we could see the inside.
Oh a Fennek on Sea. Nice Idea ! Well if this weapon fullfill its tasks .. perfect and beautiful aswell.
that boat was very stable, also good speed without splashing around, look like a miniature Zumwalt, when the military industrial Complex unveil their antigravity craft, it will be in a good while if ever (they have things that would really look like magic
Nice concept. Presumably has small arms ballistic protection. A secondary armament or mount might be good (in case of jam, etc.), or perhaps just not seen in video.
Congratulations Singapore. Very nice tool, use it wisely.
Very nice video!
Colonel I would love to take a ride on this craft. Looks bad ass, but can it compete with the Baracuda!!!!
That is one wicked looking little warship.
I like the 2 fishing rods mounted on the stern....
very Slick DESIGN WELL DONE
Is there any sideways footage of the craft at speed ? Or is the under water bit classified ?
It looks like a catamaran type hull.
That's more like it! Real Asian people who speak more than enough languages to conduct a review of Military Weaponry.
CONGRATULATIONS Janes!
US Zumwalt might have gotten idea fr this boat. It is very good 4 patrol. Speed did not stated, but should be minimum 30 nautical miles, but should be around 40 with such low profile.
Speed for that kind boats could rich 55 knots..
Very impressive I wonder if this will be for sale on the international market?
very excellent technology
I would like to see how it handles rough seas.
Nice uniform camo
Does it integrate PS4 system?
Why is it this boat reminds me of John Erickson’s Monitor ship from the U.S. Civil War?
More like a confederate iron clad with a ram on the front
Because they discovered that the angled armor plates that deflected inbound cannonballs upward, and away from Civil War Ironclads, also bounces inbound radar waves.
Somebody finally found the original design :-)
Very smart concept
It's a baby Zumwalt class.
lol nice one
Looks more like a baby Littoral Combat Ship(LCS).
Thank you. I guess they tried.......
this ship was planned like somewhat 10yrs ago
Benjamin Ong Benjamin Ong Thats neat. Because hull 618's (the first LCS ship that Austal built) final design contract wad signed in 2004. 13 years ago. And it was christened 9 yrs ago. Like "Stu Bur" said....its a baby LCS. Trust me.....i started working at Austal in 2009 and we were desgining/making POST production support parts. And that was after she had already been delivered.
ha the bat boat be cooler then that batwing they show in the new movie
Ang ganda at ang baba na malapad at pueding saradong sarado para d mapasok ng tubig, d basta lulubog. Indi basta mapapansin na nakalapit na pala
it was the old jetty of the ex Royal malaysian Navy in woodland. I was stationed there from 1982-1984
My pa also been there to, before he is retired from his service as a medical doctor..
It’s not. This is Changi Naval Base.. which wasn’t even built at that time.
Great looking craft. Good job Singapore.
Reading through the comments, I like to add a concern.
It will be highly dangerous with a need for the crew of 4 in Singapore waters to avoid the massive ships passing through as this low boat is designed not to be easily seen.
the mast has radar enhancers to improve the radar signature.
@@wavecutter69 thanks. Got it. The enhancers can be turned off when needed.
I am not convinced that this vessel is for interception only... Why would it need such stealthy profile then? Even going to the length of having a stealth housing for the gun mount. For some reason, I suspect that this may be a more electronic warfare centric vessel...
very futuristic
No, but if you are going to do an interview and put it on UA-cam, you should make sure folks can hear.
The officer they interviewed is worthy of respect and it just seemed disrespectful to drown him out.
Nice design
when you are tiny ,no need stealthy one..just dive ,this thing looks good fo diving.
1:20 is that a laser mounted on the back left?
Nice boat!
FANTASTIC BOAT!!! MY GREETINGS FROM GERMANY!!! LOVE SINGAPORE!!!!
danke mate
Its great for Speed and around the Malaysian, Indonesian, thailand, Philippines, West Papuan Islands but on open sea and when tsunami hits... not so much...
You'd expect a "high-speed" boat of that size would need a planing hull, but the radar-deflecting geometry looks like it would create downforce that would work against planing. Hypercavitating bubble-cushion tech? I'd love to know what goes on beneath her waterline.
Don't they have a drone to take video at highspeed?
Cool, just curious who does this tiny boat stealth profile try to hide from?
The bad guys...until it is too late for the bad guys to try to run...
..this is excellent for parasailing..
This will clearly be great for intercepting chinese ships
China won't even notice.
You can see us navy lcs and singapore Navy modified ship meant to carry helicopters
Half speed enter Malaysia or indonesia full speed reach Vietnam.....so where to go?
This vessel will never perform for interdiction in rough or adverse sea conditions. High speed can be achieved perhaps under water. I wrote the book on high speeds in offshore hulls.
It's not designed for high seas but for operations around Singapore where the waters are relatively calm
Apache Powerboats Watch from 0:50 onwards and listen to what the colonel said about the operational features specific to local waters, and 2:15 onwards, akin to a catamaran but with a stealthy armored profile and rapid engagement
SMC is spelled LCS backwards. No bridge wings?!?!? How you gonna park it?
This looks like more Police Coast Guard job than the Navy...
LineOfCars am talking about unnecessary waste of finite public funds (tax payers' contributions) & not to mention allocation of limited manpower resources when Overlap do occur.red. If the PSG can do it better to patrol & secure S'pore's shores & coastlines, the Navy should butt out bec S'poe don't have a long coast line of a huge island like Sumatra or Australia for that matter.
nashi nash 5
nashi nash for Singapore their major defence interests have historically lain in littorals and island patrols not the bluewater naval requirements that probably inspired your thinking. That could be changing with the clashes of interests in the wider south China sea though.
Small very useful in small patroling
I Like it!...
So . . . can you water ski behind it?
Good luck, fellas. I hope it works for you.
Awesome boat
i like it :)
and the speed of a tri high powered is sick.
looks like a training target to me
What is that boat good for if he crew will be as good as the one on board of RSS Courageous?
PBR street gang approves this boat. Semper fi.
Oh, by the way, Singapore is an awesome country! Wish we could find a way to help you rule the Pacific basin and keep the predatory rats in Beijing under control. In fact, wish you could run the USA for a few decades! You guys are awesome!
Appreciate it sir, we're grateful for support from the US and many other nations.
Akin Khoo The sentiment which elected Trump came from productive citizens who are tired of being controlled by an increasingly repressive elite while being forced to roll over for scumbags. As long as I have to tolerate being kept on a leash, I would like to see the corrupting elements crushed. In this perhaps the Chinese model would serve as well. As for the comment about China, you're right in disapproving of the "rats" characterization, it was uncalled for. On the other hand, China's policies at times seem sufficiently racist and exploitative to justify a certain level of hostility. I suppose that, as with Russia, centuries of assault by outsiders breeds that mindset, but it is still a sticking point.
Hahaha the Singaporean elites ARE ethnic Chinese lol.
Yes, but just as my ancestors came to America to escape the inbred, festering, eurotrash power structure, (EU?) I see the cultures which claim some degree of ethnic descent from China as having escaped the oppressive influences thereof in order to forge a new destiny. That may be simplistic and naive, but that is how I see it.
Akin Khoo What nonsense! You are obviously incapable of grasping the realities involved in all of this. You are just another ignorant uncultured mouthpiece.
A very deceptive looking ship. What are the specs on it?
nice one. Indian coast guard should have these.
shubham sarkar
Which class
Need an aircraft carrier as well
Had to give up on the fourth "Humancentric"
This vessel looks like it will submarine at med to high speed in anything more than sea state 1
why would it go far away from shore?
This boat looks like it would swamp in the first heavy seas.
No dumbass
I am sure that they thought of that. I guess they close the hatch. 😂😂😂
It can’t bend light, and don’t have cloaking technology.
A stealth rowing vessel!
It looks like a miniature Zumwalt destroyer.
It's like a newborn child of daddy zumwalt and mommy independent class LCS.
I find the bow shape wrong if it hits a large wave. Looks like it would dig in and play submarine with out a snorkel.
Terrance Perkins are you a navy architect?
Listen to the fucking video again donkey, it's only for Singapore coast line.
All my friends have low riders.
give me a contract ill build ya a Gundam
I guess it's not important to see what is directly in front boat while maneuvering.
It's engine noise is so loud, you don't need a radar to detect it.
Hahahaha
会有心理问题,现在的水面战舰越来越像“潜艇”,不是说会下潜,而是说水手更多的是在一个封闭环境下工作生活,对水手的心理影像不可小视。
I would think a sailor bobbing around the ocean after his boat suck, would WANT to be seen, so why the camo?
That’s cute
Its an 19th century design made new .
Baby but danger you know that james
The shape look like USS Zumwalt
It looks like a stealthy speed boat armed with a machine gun. It is not armed with any missiles so my question is what can it really do? I mean it's fire power can hardly even match some pirates with RPGs.
It has only 4 crew, what can they do? I doubt it can function as a patrol boat, so what is this boat really for?
sg operates an integrated force... the boat acts as a sensor if it lacks in firepower... just like a infantry calling in artillery strikes
For that purpose isn't a drone much better?
a drone cant do vbss... it is meants to be flexible in the way it is designed to be for a specific purpose
You think 4 people (including a driver) could? If there are pirates or smugglers on board, what are the chances those 3 guys could come back alive?
I think pirates or drug smugglers could really use those ships, low radar signature and all.
um.. first time it hit's a wave, it's going to dive like a sub. high speed interceptor only in flat water.
FPVREVIEWS Singaporean waters are quite calm
perhaps that is what it's meant to do! After all, the masts look like they're retractable (and a version was displayed with masts stowed on parade).
It's for Singapore only you donkey
Does it come in black? lol
THIS GUY!!!
No, our black series were all sold out. But it come with white, blue and orange too.
We need it in rose gold please
World of hurt in waves. To make it sturdy enough for at speed plowing into ocean waves it would add weight and need for more weight and buoyancy to handle the extra strength. Figuring that's why no ocean trials shown. Good for puttering around calm waters. Better require having real time wave heights and directions data available to it while out patrolling.
That thing is badass. I'm glad Singapore isn't an ally of China!
@AppuSiLiaoLiao You know what, you're right! I edited my comment accordingly.
High speed?
I doubt about it.
Lt. Colonel in the Navy???
Singapore uses the same ranks in the army, air force and navy for the commissioned officers and NCOs. But navy does have the admirals ranks for the naval command staff.
ideal for a lake .
Used in open seas.
@@eatdriveplay I don't think it's safe to make another video on a rough sea day.
What's the point. So few ship. For window dressing only
Where else the Malays in Singapore?
they busy patrolling the mrt
Fucking at staircase
That will bee at the bottom in a moderate sea.
Buy 200 each type for UK spec
It doesn't look like it would do well in heavy seas.
Just like the Zumwalt, I never see this hull design taking on heavy seas, so I wonder if it will survive them. Thankfully though, the oceans are so predictable.
Yep looks woopy doo ....trendy mondo looks for Singapore island.... and thats what it is, really protected by the navies of the west ,they have to import every thing, dont have to build roads or railroads to gundergui, only the other side of the island....no elbow room you see. its just an island folks with one or two nice buildings and some and a flag that needs changing big time.
No worries mate..we are still alive and kicking!
@@zafiraa9799 Sounds to me like Jealous.
Low and sleek. Does not have much firepower unless I missed something.
+Michael Mixon You misse d the part of the intervommy G. Thompson Youth Center, eiw that tells how the ship doesn't work alone. It's part of a layered system level response. Basically it's a sitting duck
A.50 cal MG is enough to scare off most pirates or get compliance from smugglers. If that doesn't do the trick then the sensors and communications might aid a local allied ship to send in a missile or shells. Of course they could also have some man portable weapons for some additional firepower as well.
Michael Mixon listen and watch from 2:22
Full speed when overturned
